Come on babe, why don't we paint the town... and all that jazz...
:) OH MY GOODNESS!! I just watched CHICAGO tonight and it was totally AWESOME!! :) Totally totally loved it. TOTALLY! I saw the show a couple years back and to see how they adapted it to the screen was pretty amazing. Suprisingly enough, EVERYONE can sing in it!! :) Yeah.. I was on the verge of singing along, but I was good and I kept my mouth shut. Anyways, go watch it... take me with you... :)
Pop. Six. Squish. Uhuh. Ciscero. Lipschitz.
okok. I'll stop. :)
Hmmmm... what to blog about.. hmmm. Well, yesterday, went to Club Alondra to celebrate Mikie's birthday. :) Ahhhhh, memories of the Arena and Metro came flying to me the moment I walked through that door. Since it was an 18+ club, I was feeling incredibly OLD... not to mention incredibly tall since there was a majority of short asains there. But it was still fun just getting that groove on and hanging out with Mikie, Lan, Joe, Steph, Joanne, Janelle and her cousins, and company. :) Amazingly enough, ran into people there who weren't part of the Mikie group... including old school formal date Richard AND *believe it or not* my favorite karate-boarding bartender himself JP. (WOAH.) Anyways, left kinda early cause it had been a long day *couatthemallgh* and Carlene and I were just really tired. Argh... getting old....
Got my hair cut... :( I think its too short... I went in thinking *OH! I'm going to take off an inch, trim the ends and fix the layers!* but no... the stylist had a different idea and chopped off 3 INCHES!! 3 INCHES!! That's... a lot! On the bright side.. it looks heathy and well... I'm not bald or anything. And at least it grows back... :) Ok.. I'll survive.
Tomorrow (er... today) theres a family wedding... or I think theres a wedding. Theres a reception for sure... but ceremony? Not sure. This wedding has been "off" and "on" several times this past week so no one is really sure what they should write on the cards. "Congratulations... you didn't?" "Share the blender!?" Anyways, it should be interesting... also this is like my first wedding in a while that I haven't had to work at so that should be a nice chage... if there is a wedding... hmmm... oh wells. :)

I hope everyone got what they asked for from Santa... :)
Hmmmm.. today spent the day here at home and then went over to my Dad's for dinner with the rest of the Concepcion clan. :) *Good times* and even more good food... Nanang was out of the home, so it was as always really great to see her, as well as just spending quality time with the cousins. :) When you ask my baby niece Alicia what kind of noise a lion makes... she'll go "roar". SHE'S SO CUTE!! She also loved her brand new Care Bear... ;) My Cousin had bought her a "Chicken Dance Elmo" and I think my Tita Lagring was even more excited to dance with it than Alicia was...
Darnit, the Lakers lost. :(
Anyways, on a brighter and happier note... a 23 minute late HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MIKIE!! I'll see YOU tonight.. ;) Cause you know... when I hear music it makes me dance...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Things are good here... Its been an interesting couple of days with so much going on... Last night, got to see *snow* which almost made me cry because it was so pretty... and then afterwards went over to Janelles for a Christmas party where Luc (I'm sooooo sorry about being pissy on the phone. I was NOT in a good mood at that moment.) and Mark discovered that they were weird buddy buddy soul mates because I SWEAR TO HADES, they have the same characteristics and mannerisms. *too weird* Anyways, played a tame game of White Elephant and "oh but of course" Cranium, where the soul mates and Kenny won even though we technically didn't finish the game... (Ryan Skophammer.. where are you when we need you!) Anyways, pretty much kicked back with everyone afterwards which was pretty terriffic since it had been a while or just felt like eons since I've been able to just hang out with Luc, Salamanca, and the rest of the folks.
Christmas is very laidback this year. I didn't know what my plans were for Christmas eve until 2pm today when I called my dad and was told that the Concepcion Family Festivities were going to be held on Christmas DAY this year. Oh wells... So tonight it was Mom, Carlene, and myself... which was absolutely perfect...
*@11pm*
Nicole: Mom! Open your gift now... when we get back from Church, it'll be 1am and you'll be tired....
Carlene: Yeah, open it now so that at Church, you can thank God for your wonderful daughters.
Got home from Midnight Mass a while ago. It was great even if we had gotten there 30 minutes before mass and it was ALREADY crowded (luckily we got seats). After Communion, they turned off all the lights and the whole congregation sang "Silent Night" (Although the projection where the lyrics was on was interrupted when the Norton Anti-Virus in the computer went off and projected it on the screen) . I got goosebumps because at that very moment, I could feel the spirit of the holiday... it was really something. :)
Anyways, HAPPY HOLIDAYS (again) and a great big *MUAH* to everyone! Go watch 24 hours of A CHRISTMAS STORY on TNT. :) Love ya!

WHooooo... good weekend. :)
Friday night, went over to Tina and Mae's for our little SL/CSUF/FRIENDS&FAMILY party. I swear... pratically every furniture in their apartment says "PROPERTY OF CSUF" on it. (They bought it.. really. ;)) Anways, we did our usual "kris kringle" were pretty much everyone with the exception of Joey "Holy Cow.. that's a dick!" knew who had who and later watched "Can't Hardly Wait." ("Yo.. I gots to have sex tonight.") Afterwards, went over to Beth's to drop off her Christmas gift and the dolly for her big move... :)
Saturday.. woke up bright and early to get ready for my mom's Barkada Christmas party. :) Every year, a different family hosts the party... and so my mom wanted to make sure EVERYTHING was perfect since it was the first time that we were having a big "family" function in the house. In fact, she went into Christmas nazi mode (TIMES 2!). It was pretty frightening. But everything was great and the party was a lot of fun (Oh my goodness.. so much food. We got leftovers... call if you want some!). I swear, every year the parents gather up all the kids and force us to take a picture in a stairway... I'm sure it was pretty adorable with 13 kids under the age of 10 all happy and smiling, snug as a bug in a rug on those stairs... but now all the "kids" are either in their teens or 20's and to cramp us on there that way just isn't cute anymore. I was definitely feeling the "old" that night because the youngest kid, Cheryl, is going to enter St. Lucy's next year... and I remember when she used to be a BABY!! (Actually, since I'm the 3rd oldest of all the kids, I remember when a lot of them were babies! I remember vividly when Benji was 5 years old, he was trying to jump rope with the big kids and he was holding potato chips, but he fell down. All of us stopped because we were CERTAIN that he would start crying.. but he didn't, and instead reached for a broken potato chip on the ground and put it in his mouth. HE'S A SOPHOMORE IN HIGH SCOOL NOW!! Oh weirdness... Moving on...) Rather then having all the kids sit in a room and watch TV while waiting for the gift exchange... this year, Tito Jerry had us gambling and yelling obnoxiously with the adults at the dinning room table and taking shots with them as well. ;) *WHOOOHOOO!!! GOOD TIMES!!* Also we played some "pusoy dos" but unfortunantly, I didn't have any proper playing cards other than my GARFIELD ones were instead of the hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds... my cards had Garfield, Odie, Nermal (the "cute" gray cat) and Arlene (the pink cat) which made playing rather difficult. ("Who has the 3 of Odie!?!") This year, no one won any XBOXs... but Kris Kringles were still a lot of fun. Actually, the main highlight now of the parties is watching the adults play White Elephant. You wouldn't think it, but they can be so ruthless... but its pretty hilarious to watch your mom fight for a cordless phone or your aunts and uncles scheming to take a cuppuchino maker from each other...

Incredibly stupid moment of the day: I was putting on my brand new pair of TOE SOCKS when to my suprise I discovered I had only 4 toes!! But then I realized I had 2 of my toes in one of the sockie thingies... *duh*

:) HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!! I'm done.. well, for the time being. Finals week wasn't so bad for me considering that it was mostly papers I had to write and just one test... stressful nonetheless. But on Wednesday, I was finished, relieved, and oh so very happy.
Has anyone heard of the song "CHRISTMAS SHOES"? Oh my goodness, I heard the song today at work and its one of those songs that completely captures you if you listen to the lyrics... There I was folding chiffon, when I first felt goosebumps all over my body and then next thing I knew, I was crying. If you haven't heard it, you should download it... its about a man who's in line at a store when theres a boy in front of him who's buying shoes for his mom... but he doesn't have enough so he tells the cashier that he need the shoes because it will make his mom happy because shes sick and she might be seeing Jesus that night. OH MY GOODNESS... just thinking about it makes me tear up.. so the narrator sings about the little boy... AND THEN you hear children singing the chorus AND THEN its one little boy singing it... Its soooooo sad... The song just tugs at your heart strings... Another radio station started playing it a while afterwards, but I had to run to the radio and change it... I just couldn't take it again.
Anyways, its raining again. Earlier today, it was sunny and I was thinking to myself "Gosh! I love days after it rains because everything seems so much brighter and crisper," and really, it was. The sun was shinning and the hill along the 71 was this gorgeous bright green that made me think of the wallpaper in Windows XP. But now the rain is pitter-pattering away... and I'm currently listening to PM Dawn's "I'd Die Without You." How perfect is that!?! Hopefully it will stop before Christmas... and the holiday was be clear and beautiful.

:) Long day of studying.... but tomorrow (er.. today) I'll be done!! YAAAY!!
spaznik: did you write your name and his inside a heart?
poTaTe YO: no not yet
poTaTe YO: hahaha
spaznik: isnt it hard to believe that someone out there might be writing your name and theirs inside a heart?!
poTaTe YO: hahah
poTaTe YO: It is wierd to think that my name is in a heart
spaznik: i was just thinking about it now..
spaznik: like its all cute and stuff when girls do it..
spaznik: but like its weird to think it...
spaznik: my name could be with like some weirdo..
poTaTe YO: hahaha
poTaTe YO: with yellow pants!
spaznik: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
spaznik: YELLOW PANTS!
poTaTe YO: hahaha
poTaTe YO: I thought you'd like that one
*note* Last year at FTC, Kathy and Jean were doing the ice breaker workshop... and Kathy was explaining this one game where everyone stands in a circle... and one person in the middle of it will say "I lilke my neighbor because ______" and all the people who are ________ would have to run inside the circle and get a new spot. Get it? No? Oh wells. Anyways, so Kathy's example was "I like my neighbor because he wears yellow pants." Yellow pants... really... you'd think it was a random pick. But when she said that... 3 guys came out and started running. WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF 3 GUYS WEARING YELLOW PANTS!! Anyways, one of those guys.. well... thats another story.
I also had a very interesting conversation with Pete (DANCE!!) that went from chatting about blogging, to writing erotica as a fundraising idea, to "other" fundraising ideas that may only be legal in the state of Nevada, to perhaps changing the bylaws to prohibit that idea from actually happening but then again it probably would be incredibly lucrative as well as give a brand new meaning to the HEAD TOUR.... oh my goodness gracious. Won't that be fun?! ;)

Joe: what did you do today?
Nicole: I studied.. and then I went to the mall...
Joe: did you get anything for me?
Nicole: sure if you want a bra
Have you noticed that people don't really talk on the phone as much to chit chat anymore? Well it seems like that for me... like everyone I know basically chats online and rarely talk to one another on the phone... unless they need like information or a question answered. I do talk on the phone on occasion with like my close friends... but I pretty much chat *when I can* online... isn't that weird? Or maybe its only me... Hmmmm... Pick up a phone and call someone to say HI! :)
Anyways, today it was raining like no other... Cat and dogs were falling from the sky, old men were snoring, and people were singing. :) Lucky me got to spend a majority of the day indoors... studying. (theres sarcasm in that remark.) But later in the afternoon, the backyard started to FLOOD! So mom started freaking out and we drove to Home Depot to find a solution... a water pump. (At first, we were thinking that we should get sandbags to put at the door just in case the water might seep in... but then we realized that Home Depot would only see the sand "bag" part and we would need to get sand somewhere else...but where? It was confusing...) So while at Home Depot, mom discovers that her drivers license is missing... she then figured that she had left it at Robinsons May in Brea the other day.
Since I had books to bring back to library it was perfect... so I drove over to Brea, dropped her off, went to Fullerton, dropped off the books, and went back to Brea to pick her up. But traffic was TERRIBLE so I decided that it would be better if we stayed at the mall and just waited the traffic out. (yes yes.. big sacrafice on my part.) Did some shopping (yay!) and came home where Carlene and her homie Sonny (the CANADIAN, eh) were making soup.
*talking about the painful Christmas Fondue 2001 experience*
Carlene: well I think we made it up this year mom, with your gift...
Mom: What did you get me? Did you get me a man?
Carlene: yes mom... we got you a man.. he's in the box under the tree...
Mom is really funny. Carlene was telling me this story about how her and mom were surfing the internet and were looking at the men over at match.com. Apparently there were some really cute older men that my mom was checking out *eeek* and Carlene was joking around with her that they should get an account with a screenname. Carlene didn't want a boring screenname for mom like Lyn821 or something of the sort so they were trying to think of a name that's fun and "catchy"... like "pinaynanay" or "aznhotmama". *i'm rolling my eyes* Carlene decided that she needed to get something that would be more unique and completely perfect for mom.. so she asked mom what she's interested in. My mom's genius answer for her screenname: Botox Junkie.
Mom: I bet all your friends think I'm crazy when they read your journal huh...
No mom... just one of a kind. :) I'm so incredibly lucky.

spaznik: and brag about my child bearing hips.
ckicarrie: hahaha
ckicarrie: and demonstrate your laundry abilities.
ckicarrie: hahaha.
spaznik: *yes boys... she can FOLD!!*
ckicarrie: you make it sound like we're selling you on the home shoppping network.
ckicarrie: hahaha.
spaznik: *she cooks... she cleans... and shes a bit FREAKY! Get her while she's hot!!*
ckicarrie: hahahahahahahah
ckicarrie: oh nooooo, more like "get her while she's in her prime childbearing years"
yeah... really really REALLY need to get out more...

I had the weirdest dream the other night...
So there I was, chillin with the Care Bears. I don't know why, but they were morphing themselves into other "types" of Care Bears ( like Wish Bear was morphing into Funshine Bear and Cheer Bear was pretending to be Bedtime Bear...etc). Then they started morphing themselves into human babies... then all of a sudden they morphed themseleves into cuts of meat and everyone was at Benihana and the meat was being chopped and cooked on the giant stove, with the chefs throwing the chopped meat into the air and doing their fancy tricks with the knives... and people started eating the food. I started freaking out because at first I thought "oh my gosh!! they're eating BABIES!!".. but then realized "OH MY GOSH!! THEY'RE EATING CAREBEARS!"
WEIRD.
I need to get out more...

You know how you have those memories that make you cringe with embarassment? Like really ugly old pictures of yourself or remembering something really stupid that you've done... Well Carlene had downloaded "Tiny Bubbles" by Don Ho and proceeded to conjure up one of those moments for myself...
When I was 6 years old, we went on a family vacation to Hawaii. Since it was so many years ago, there are only a few things that I do remember about that trip. First, was the discovery that I was horribly alergic to insect bites... legs had been attacked to brutally and the bug bites were so big that my legs resembled giant molecule models and I couldn't walk. Second, was the "newness" of the family video camera... I bet if I were watch those videos, there would be several obnoxious attempts on my part to get attention, not to mention several shots of the inside my mouth. I thought that the camera could capture the happenings of my stomach. And finally, I remember watching Don Ho... in concert. This night, I remember right up to the blue dress I was wearing. During the concert and Don Ho's rendition of "Tiny Bubbles" I, along with several other kids, got pulled up to the stage to meet with him. So Don Ho stops and talks a bit with each kid... and by the time he gets to me, my mind has gone blank and I'm blinded by the lights... He asks my name... I say "Nicole." He then proceeds to ask me who my favorite singer is... I really can't think. I mean, I'm 7... I really don't have a favorite singer. It was Carlene who had an obsession over Michael Jackson and Boy George... I liked everyone! So I blurted the first name that came into mind... "DON HO!!" :) Well, the entire auditorium started laughing and I was mortified. Why couldn't I have said someone else? Anyways, Don was very flattered and I got to sing "Tiny Bubbles" with him... he also coerced me into kissing the boy next to me on the cheek. Oh my... but I did get an autographed tape! And actually for a while, after that trip... all I did listen to WAS Don Ho... but by the time I was 8... I had already fallen hard for the New Kids on the Block... and Don Ho had faded back and had become a distant memory.
Until today.
And so now I listen to the song "Tiny Bubbles." I had always assumed the song was about blowing bubbles in Hawaii. It isn't "Tiny bubbles.. In hawaii" as I had thought...
its "Tiny bubbles in the wine
Make me happy, make me feel fine,
Tiny bubbles make me warm all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna Love you 'til the end of time."
Ahhhh.. now it makes sense. :) Rock on Don Ho... rock on.

After spending the day cleaning and running around getting different products to achieve ultimate house cleanliness... I found out that my aunts and uncle aren't coming anymore to visit. :( This means no cute baby Thea and Esther to play with this weekend! Awww shucks. I was really really really looking forward shoving the adults outside so that I can stay indoors with the kids... drawing, making funny faces, etc... and just being really silly with them. I even had my stuffed animals all ready to be played with!! Oh wells... maybe I'll be able to see them for New Years.. :)
Anyways, I rented movies tonight. "The Importance of Being Ernest" and "Monsoon Wedding." They were both really good (Colin Firth was absolutely adorable in "Ernest." ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! And he even sings a bit in the movie... *sigh* I heart him. I just want to hug him and never let go... :)) So it just me, Carlene, the couch, a pile of blankets, pillows, orange juice, soup and the dvd player. *good warm times* I think I'll be getting a copy of the play "The Importance of Being Ernest" so that I can re-read it... "Monsoon Wedding" was about an Indian wedding... Kind of like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" but its an arranged marriage India. :) I was inspired to rent it after the big 700 guest wedding last weekend (which was Indian but I don't think was arranged) and so I was a bit curious about the culture and the different rituals that they do for their weddings. Well, wow... The movie was very sweet, colorful, funny, romantic and beautiful. It made me think about love and what it takes to be married and what not. :) Anyways, rent it. Go. Go now! Or you can come on over.. I have it till next Saturday. :)
OH!! My Christmas Wish came true!! :) YAAAAAAAAAYY!!

ARGH!! I've been feeling icky for almost a month now and it doesn't seem like I'm improving... :( I've gone through numerous bags of cough drops, 2 cartons of orange juice, several glasses of lukewarm water, one 10 tablet box of 24 hour Sudafed, one box of cough and cold Sudafed, and am currently halfway through my box of Contact... and I'm still coughing and sniffling!! :( Any suggestions? Cough Syrup? Teas? Leeches? Good lovin? I'm pretty much open to anything right now with finals and all...

I found this quote and thought it was really pretty...
Its very comforting to think that maybe this is true and there is really someone out there for me. :) Lets hope he's taller and not psychotic.
Oh speaking of... my one Christmas wish (aside from world peace and for the 5th, 6th, and 7th Harry Potter books to be finally written and published) is to have the "guy" call Kathy. :) He needs to call her... if he doesn't then I'll be very angry. You know to the point where all I can say is "I'm sooo angry! I'm sooo angry!" But really.. he does. He will. ;)
Well just when I was about to pass out from coughing, blowing my nose, and overall just feeling ILL, Brandi called and said that I can take the day off due to the lack of space that the 71 centerpieces are taking up in the shop. You don't know how grateful I was to have the morning to sleep in and just to rest in general. Yeah.. it felt good. :)

Gosh... long day today. It was the *BIG* wedding today AND mistletoe... But the day started off happy so therefore the rest of it wasn't bad at all. :)
Ok.. so pretty much today decided that when I do get married (Lord knows when...) it definitely isn't going to be a giant extravagant thing. Today's wedding had 700 guests! Can we say "insane?" I don't even think I know 100 people that I would want to invite to my wedding (that isn't happening anytime soon) let alone 700! Oh my... But everything came out gorgeous. The bride had this deep rich red and gold as her colors, and the combination was just stunning with all the decorations. :) I've been working there for 7 months now and I think its just funny that I have no idea on what colors or decor I want for when i get married (in the far far far far far far future.) Oh wait.. I lied. I know my centerpieces... but theres no way in hell am I going to have 700 people. I'd rather get a nice house with that money... with the white picket fence... and the doggie. There has to be a doggie. Plus I think that with so many people and so much planning and preparing... you tend to loose focus on whats important. You know what I'm talking about... please don't make me spell it out for you because then Nicole will start going on and on and on about her silly, girlish romantic fantasies on finding love and well... Nah. I wouldn't want to be the cause of people barfing after they read this...
Anyways, I have a bag of everyone's second favorite fungus downstairs... Mistletoe! (I'm assuming that the number one favorite fungus are mushrooms... but I could be wrong.) So if anyone wants some... mistletoe that is... :) Do tell. I don't think I can mail it though because I think that trying to mail something plantlike might be somewhat supicious looking.

Since I can't do the Mistletoe Project on Sunday due to work and since I'm the only one who has gone mistletoe picking before, Kristin and I drove over to the mountains between Lake Elsinore and San Juan Capistrano to go scout the site and look at mistletoe yesterday. So we get lost, attempt to get directions from a closed "country store" that sells "ostrich jerky" , get the proper directions from a cute ranger at the ranger station, and make serveral U-turns when we get to a place that I think is the site... only there is a chainlink fence that keeps us away from the parking place where we "normally" park. I figured that it has been 2 years since I've been back so this is probably new and the forestry people are adding some new things. It makes sense. Anyways, Kristin and I get out of the car, walk around the fence, and start to scour the trees in search for mistletoe. While we are looking, a pickup truck parks at the fence and the man inside asks us what we are doing and we brightly respond that we are on a search for mistletoe. The man in the truck says that "sure, we have mistletoe... but I don't think you want to be here. This is a Probation Camp."
OH MY GOODNESS.
Yeah, so we RAN back to the car and continued on our search for the REAL bluejay campground. The cute ranger at the ranger station could have WARNED us about that.
By the time we had found the place and picked some samples of mistletoe to show to the club, we weren't able to go to the nearby boonie outlets as we had hoped, and drove back to school instead.
Later that night... Kristin, Janelle, and I had this "plan" to suprise Steph for her birthday and I think it worked. :) At least I think she was suprised but I hear she had some idea that something was going to go down. So while at the board meeting, Lorraine called and pretended to by my mom who needed me back home. I left, had a "exchange" with Janelle on the street, got balloons and some goodies and went to downtown disney to meet up with everyone. Steph was dragged from John Woodalls house to pick up saws, to the 99 cents store to buy supplies, and then finally downtown disney for *dinner* and *suprise* ;) It was a lot of fun... I felt like a secret agent whenever I was talking to Kristin and Parth kept on winking at me during the board meeting which was pretty hilarious.
Only thing now is rather than "getting better"... my health is "sick once again" and its WORSE! I must have spent too much time in the cold or something... Argh.. its like the cold that never ended... :(

Ok.. so Lorraine sent me this LINK where you can put in your name and it will turn it into a slogan. Like "A Nicole Works Wonders." And well... here you go.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARMANDO! Welcome to the world of "OLD." (er... I'm about 40 minutes too late in blogging this one) Just got home from his birthday dinner with Carrie, Steph, Kyle, Kathy, Mikie, and Lan over at the Yardhouse over in Long Beach. :) Good times... :)) We walked in the seaport village for a while and played with some hats before getting dinner. The day before, Carrie and I had went shopping for Mondo's gift... and we had the hardest time!! Seriously... we were going out of our minds like "do you think he want's a toy?... or how about a clock? girlie keychain so that he can carry it around when he drives his van"... but then we finally found the gift. Since we weren't able to go to the Citywalk showing of Willy Wonka over the summer (*shudder*... its a freaky movie) we got it for him on DVD. :) YAAY! So now he can live the lifelong day watching the oompa loompas be creepy. Its better than telling him he can keep my copy of "Zoolander" (noo.. Mondo.. you really have to give it back. ;P)
Anyways, Carrie promised me that she would bring me men tonight... she lied. Or did she??
spaznik: you forgot to bring your men!!
ckicarrie: hahaha.
ckicarrie: i did bring my men!
ckicarrie: they were in my purse the whole time!
spaznik: ahhhhhh...
ckicarrie: benjamin franklin
spaznik: holding out on me huh..
spaznik: HAHAHAHAHAHAH
spaznik: he's too old.
ckicarrie: ulysees grant
ckicarrie: hahahah.
ckicarrie: i had andrew jackson
ckicarrie: and abraham lincoln
spaznik: hahahahahah.. hmmm... i hear that andrew jackson is a cutie. :-)
ckicarrie: you know it!
ckicarrie: and abrahma lincoln!
ckicarrie: hahhaha.
ckicarrie: actually jackson is the cutest.
ckicarrie: out of all of them.
spaznik: are you checking out your bills??
ckicarrie: hahaha, yah.
ckicarrie: i'm lame!
spaznik: psycho!!
ckicarrie: hahahaha, go check out your money.
ckicarrie: take a gander at those fine looking men.
And they say I need to get out more... ;P
And the night continues on with more craziness online...
WhoDaManny: what do u want for christmas besides me making u breakfast?
spaznik: gee.. besides that!??
spaznik: wow... i still get something else??
WhoDaManny: hahahahaaaa
WhoDaManny: well besides sopme good lovin
WhoDaManny: lol
spaznik: ha ha.
spaznik: :P
spaznik: hmmmmm...
spaznik: i dunno...
spaznik: what do YOU want ?
WhoDaManny: just u baby
spaznik: whats your second choice?
WhoDaManny: yer mother
Oh lordy... and the thing is that I know my mom will NEVER go for it. ;P

Ahhh, procrastination at its finest... blogging when I'm supposed to be working on a paper... its ok though. At least I have words on the paper... and its not ONLY my name and the title... theres actual substance on it. So I think I'm entitled to take a breather and be silly for a couple of minutes.
:)
Ok. That's enough.

I was arguing with my mom today over what we were going to put on top of the tree. I wanted this nice, simple gold star... whereas my mom wanted to put this big angel she had found. Since she is my mom and has power... she won. (Mom has gotten into her crazy Christmas nazi mode and has good reason too since its our first Christmas here at the house and we're having the her barkada Christmas party here.) After seeing the lifesize, moving gold angels at the Mission Inn... I've just been pretty freaked about angels. Anyways, so its on the tree and yes, I admit it looks pretty nice.. but the thing is that it has these fiberoptic thingies in the wings and dress, so it changes colors every 2 seconds. The colors prompted Carlene and I to be extremely bratty and silly tonight (as mom made us decorate till midnight... crazy I tell you)... humming the theme to Disneyland's "Electrical Parade"... and we finally decided that our angel is *DISCO* angel. *Oh won't you take me to... Bethlehem.* :) Well, at least we have a tree this year (last year, we were just so swamped with moving)... and it isnt giant spiral green monstrocity that she had up the 2 years ago. Its a real, somewhat live, fresh smelling tree. :)

:) Just got home from JP's birthday shindig. JP is seriously my absolute favorite Karate-kicking, surfing, bartender whos so strong that he doesn't know that he's choking you when he's giving you one of his million dollar hugs. :) The party was your typical filipino party where theres a good amount of friends, family, food, alcohol, and of course KARAOKE. And since I'm still sick... I couldn't quite get jiggy with the microphone. But I DID see enough disturbing drunken hip thrusting from Tommy to give me nightmares for the next couple of months. I was entertained tonight though with Will's one-man "Matador and bull" imitation as well as his "finger" magic tricks, the "groping" and indecent pictures (talk about getting action...), and story time with JP's dad (What? RJ IS A SEX MACHINE?!?). Most important of all, I got to see the Keri, Tina, Mae, Marissa, JP and Joey... and we picked out our kris kringles for the christmas party. I have ______. Hope he/she likes what I got planned. ;)
*Missy Elliot's WORK IT...*
Nicole: (singing) Go downtown and eat it like a vulcha
Joey: Wouldn't that hurt... with the beak and all?
Earlier today, I checked my voicemail and there was this creepy message on it:
Happy Thanksgiving sexy thang!! I can lick you up... like a turkey.
And since my phone had died the night before, it didn't say who the message was from. But I took down the number and researched it.. and lo and behold... IT WAS MANNY!! ;P He's a freak... yep.
The house smells like Christmas now that we have a tree in the house. So now I'm offically OFFICALLY excited for christmas... Actually, its a combination of everything that puts me in the holiday spirit. Hot apple cider, Day After Thanksgiving sales, Twinkle lights in their trays ready to be hung... There's nothing like singing Christmas songs in your car with the heater on to make you feel all warm and happy inside.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Today was a day of absolute gluttony... as it always is every year. The thing is that since my mom and dad split up, Thanksgivings have been even more so since its been BIG LUNCH here at home with mom... and BIG DINNER with my dad's family. This means an obscene amount of food. We have enough leftovers here to last us a couple of weeks... so if you've got a craving for some pumpkin pie or roast... come on over!
My baby niece Alica is the cutest thing and since she is the baby in the family... everyone fawns over her. :) Today she said "apple" and everyone in the room repeated "apple" in this awed, amazed manner that made me laugh. She also has the greatest toys. Angel and I were going gaga and feeling superior with this one toy for 1 year olds that had a lot of colors and gizmos on it. Thats right... I know my colors. Yay me! ;)
Well since it IS Thanksgiving... so what are YOU thankful for?
I'm grateful for God, my family (as crazy as they ALL are), my friends (as crazy as they ALL are), good relationships, the roof over my head, those simple things in life that make it all worthwhile, creative energy... used to bring Joy into the world, AIM so that I can talk to people near, far, wherever you are, second chances, "kindred spirits", the used bookstore across the street, slow jams that make you all wishy washy lovey dovey, Conan O'Brien, that everyone in my life is in good health, opposable thumbs, water filters, Disneyland, blogspot, cki, quality time, cd burners+kazaa, the muppets, Diana Krall songs, Harry Potter (I Heart Ron Weasley) and Anne of Green Gables, wicked sarcasm, people who make me laugh, days that are sunny, rainy, breezy, or just really beautiful, my job, the essentials that keep me alive, late night chats about nothing, Saved by the Bell reruns, stuffing, waffles, Indiana Jones *wink*, Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called To Say I Love You" because it makes me want to call people up and say "I LOVE YOU" to them, ABBA, a sane mind (?), being able to really get to know people, those days when it rains and your blankets are warm and you don't have anything planned for the day, personal TLC, the ability to dance in the car to Britney Spear's I'M A SLAVE without a care in the world, finding good parking, seeing an old face, knowing that you brightened someones day, when a friend looks out for your well being, short lines, rocky road ice cream, glasses repair kits, 24 hour walmart, sunshine, lolipops, people in my life who when I think about them, I can't help but smile, happy memories and craziness that the future holds for me...

I had this dream last night where I was kicking it with Harry Potter.... and as I was giving him a high-five for his kick ass quidditch match... I slammed my hand into the wall and picture frame and woke myself up. Oh lordy...

At work yesterday, Brandi was telling me of how her older brother used to shove her into the sleeping bag, sit at the opening, and fart into it just to torchure her. It made me think of my own childhoold and how sister and I used to fight... There were some pretty bad kiddie fights we had. One time I stabbed her with a pencil... another time she cut my hair... or she would chase me around the house when I needed to go to the bathroom and so I would end up peeing in my pants. She says I used to kick her at night... but I beg to differ... I remember annoying her when we went to bed because I would walk on the tiles with no socks on and go to bed with cold feet... and then I'd rub my feet on her. When I was 6 years old, I remember sitting in the back of the car with my sister... wearing my favorite hat. This hat was the greatest hat ever because my nanang had crocheted it for me and I looked ever so cute whenever I wore it (or so I think). I don't know why, but suddenly Carlene went into this mad rage, grabbed my precious hat and THREW IT OUT THE WINDOW!! Oh my gosh... I started crying and begged my mom and dad to turn around so that we can get it... but no. My dear hat was gone. I'm not bitter at all... oh no. :P
Isn't it funny how some of these "horrible" flashbacks make you smile in embarassment or even pride. Thats right... I stabbed my sister with a pencil. It almost broke skin. Don't mess with my crayons.
But we knew we loved each other. Sure the whole "your dolls are my dolls and my dolls are MY dolls" mentality my sister had wasn't the greatest thing... but there was a time when my dad threated to give Carlene away to my Tita Lagring after we fought once and I started to cry... I guess I did love my annoying little sister... or when I scared Carlene into thinking I was running away and my proof was that I had actually put socks and underware into a bag... and she begged me not to go. *awww* She did love me!
On a side note... My mom used to play tricks on us. Like she'd turn off all the lights and hide in a corner while Carlene and I are crying "where are you mommy!!" and running around thinking we had been abandoned. Or she'd come home with all these surgical tools from work and said that if we were lying, she would cut off our tongues with them. Oh yeah... Those are some crazy memories...

:) I'm alive!! A bit sick... but at least I'm still breathing. I have this scent of cough drops to me too. Ewww.
Friday afternoon, I was over in Laguna putting up a HUGE ceiling drape at this banquet hall in Laguna. And like I blogged earlier, all they played was Christmas music. There must be a several hundred versions of THE CHRISTMAS SONG... I think I heard them all that day. Saturday was LONG. LOOOOONNNNGG. LOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGG. At 7am, decorated a temple over in Riverside... at 10am.. decorated the chapel and reception over at the Mission Inn in Riverside... and from 4-7pm finishing up at a banquet hall in Laguna. It was 12 freaking hours of insanity... but everything came out really beautiful. The temple was an experience because it was an Islamic Temple and so I had to take off my shoes and cover my head to just to drape the aisle inside. The Mission Inn itself was gorgeous... *note to self... prospective wedding place in case there are no suitable bathrooms at Union Station in LA.* It was nice because they had their christmas lights up... but then again the decorations itself were EXTREMELY creepy. Like they had these lifesize dolls standing on the balcony, giant bands of pandas in the courtyard, and these gold painted statues of angels and the Virgin Mary up along the arches... all MOVING. EEEK! *note to self again... when getting married and if the Mission Inn is the dream location... not during Christmas time... nor anytime where they have creepy *traumatizing* statues to scare myself and the bridal party*
I went to go see Harry Potter again with Joe yesterday night... *I HEART RON WEASLEY!* Now I'm just a bit slightly obsessive over the whole Harry Potter series (again) and terrified because according to one website, in the next book a major character is supposed to die. And since I heart Ron Weasley, I'm really really hoping that it isn't going to be him... really really really hoping. I don't want it to be Hermione either... nor Harry... If its Hagrid.. then I guess I'll be ok. I made Carrie promise me that when the book comes out, she's going to read it first and if something horrible does happen to (i heart) Ron... then I'm not going to read it at all. Okok.. I'm retarded... but I'm really scared. The books definitely get darker and maybe J.K. Rowling is this crazy woman who secretly thinks that everyone likeable should be mangled to death and takes joy in breaking her readers little hearts. Maybe... ok.. I'm gonna go out and get a life. Really I am. Really!!!

Nothing like being stuck in a room playing nothing but CHRISTMAS MUSIC for 4 HOURS to get you in the holiday mood. Oh my... :)

The other night, I went outside to look at the meteor shower. I saw one shooting star... which I think was pretty good considering that I was staring at the sky from the comforts of my backyard and the moon was really bright that night. So you bet I made my one wish a really good one. I'm not gonna tell because you know.. then it won't come true. But when we DO achieve world peace... you know who to thank. *wink*
My throat is bleh... but my voice is still *sexy*. (insert phone number here) Although its getting annoying because I can't belt out to my fullest car-singing potential when driving... Today at work, while Brandi was gone, I quickly put the radio to KOST where they are playing christmas music and I couldn't *fa-lalalalala* along with it. (a side note... I really can't believe they're playing Christmas music already... but I guess it does make sense with Thanksgiving next week and all... but the weather is just too weird, warm, and not holiday like at all.) It was quite sad. Speaking of work... things aren't looking TOO crappy. We have 3 weddings all over Orange County and Riverside on Saturday and I'm was supposed to work from 7am-6pm and then 11pm-2am... but now I don't have to do tear down. You don't know how happy that makes me! Granted I still can't go to Vegas or San Diego to play with anyone, but at least I can go home, stay there and get some needed rest. Maybe pop in a video and fall asleep to the sweet sounds of LADY AND THE TRAMP. *ooOoOo*

:) YAAY! FTC was a lot of fun...
Some memorable highlights...
-THE CAMPFIRE SKIT!! :) IT WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN! Kristin and I usually have our moments of sheer insanity/genius during our board meetings... and one of them was the whole idea of a lounge act routine for FTC. So we finally got it together thursday night... and after several hours of practicing it over and over during our 8 hour drive up to Sonora... it was great! :) *IF THERE ARE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WHO VIDEOTAPED IT... CAN YOU TELL ME PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE?? I'LL BE YOUR BESTEST FRIEND... OR I CAN MAKE YOU COOKIES. YOUR PICK!* Our goal was to have people sing "Macho Mondo" outloud afterwards... and at closing session, they did. Kristen and I were almost in tears.. (not really, but you know..) All the skits were just awesome (Carrie was seriously shaking her booty, as was Pic... and I will never forget Dustin looking for his "fairy-god jigga").
-Seeing everyone! :):):) "Mama bear" Jane and "Hip Hopping" Bruce... Playing and sweeping with my fellow CKI chair Gina, Tracy, Jordan, Chris, and the rest of the crazy D-boarders I rarely see... Oh so sexxxxy Robert "Rolo/Justin/Rated-R"(Hi Hottie!), getting a hug from Kathy via Dan, even Mr. Kiwaian Phuoc *I have TIVO in my cabin* was there! :)
-The Dboard Skit.. too freaking hilarious!
-The pieing: Remember how last year I was very young and "pie=love" happy? I was retarded. This year, I was as Joe calls it a "Casualty of War" because I was on the pieing team of Alice, Dustin, and Jordan... whose schools have a lot of money and want to see their officers pied. While we were standing there waiting for our doom, we figured that pieing is embarassing enough.. so we were going to go into it "unprotected" (without being encased in plastic trashbags.) Luckily, rather than getting pied by a stranger or someone with incredible hatred who'd start off running with the tin of whipped cream in their hand towards me... I got pied by my Kristin and Stephanie, who very lightly dabbed it onto my face. (icky... yes... but not too messy. :) YAY! But then again, got to shower 10 hours later... ewww)
-My homeclub: I love them.. :) Not only did we have our very own skit, but we even cheered on our own with "Cal State Fullerton... Cal State Fullerton... Nothing rhymes with Fullerton... Nothing rhymes with Fullerton... Bullerton, Cullerton, Dullerton... SEE?* cheer. Cheesy AND cute... ;) The club was so great this weekend... even though Oaks 102 was a breeding ground of germs because all of the girls in it were ill. But we all shared our drugs, tissues, and cough drops... *good times*
-Joe's Face: Ok.. so there was this girl at one of the tables next to us who screamed this really horriffic/oddly fascinating scream that sounded like a combination of a Xena shriek and a dolphin's squeek. I was laughing when I heard it... but then DIED when I turned to see Joe's facial reaction. THAT itself was a combo of a "What the freak was that?" and an "I am soooo turned on right now" look.
-Feet: Friday night, I was in Duncan lodge just hanging out when Shong came out from taking his shower and started drying the spaces in between his toes. This prompted the following conversation:
Jordan: I can feel my feet smelling in my shoe.
Nicole: Ewww... why don't you go outside, take off your shoes, and then let your feet and shoes air outside?
Jordan: And I can watch squirrels fall dead from the trees.
He then started describing more characteristics about his feet that really was just TOO MUCH INFO. :P
-Stuffing dolls: I'm afraid I'm going to have nightmares of armies of faceless gingerbreadman-looking dolls coming towards me with handfuls of stuffing wanting revenge... But it will all be for a good cause... although in our own corner of stuffing, Carrie, Robert, Gina and I were going slighty delirious and bursting into *Build Me Up Buttercup* or *Stuff it now... stuff it good... stuff it like you know you should... its neck... its back... down its leg and sew the crack."
-The Dance: Carrie and I have pretty much decided that we're OLD and we just can't hack it anymore. We'd dance and then go outside until we hear a familiar beat that we couldn't resist... and then back outside to chill again. It was a vicious cycle.
-Petey's babypicture and his odd facination with small jackets and hats: Petey brought his scrapbook that his mom made him that had his babypictures in it. We found this ADORABLE picture of Petey halfnaked posing in it... and while Carrie distracted Petey, I got Don too take a picture of it with hopes that will it make it into the FTC slide show... but it didn't. :( Anyways, Petey's odd facination with small jackets and hats... all thoughout the weekend, he was borrowing jackets from Joe, Reina, and Carrie that were all smaller than him... and yet he was seriously WORKING THEM. I now have permission to go shopping with Petey and dress him up for convention. WHOOOHOOO! ;)
-The drive: 8 hours to Sonora... 8 hours back home... but it was all so much fun with Kristin and Anthony (and later on Stacy) in the car. Yeah.. we practiced our skit over and over and over again that even Anthony knew the script by heart.. but also we had this weird obsession of putting imaginary pirates in real life situations. And you can't forget those endless games of Either/Or, looking at road signs from a pervy's view, or belting out "I Just Called to Say I Love you"... and calling people just to do so. ;)
Unfortunantly, I have no voice and I'm still coughing and congested. bleh.... but oh wells... ;) *GOOD TIMES*

Still feeling icky. :( Actually, I'm trying to get better so that I can get even more sick at FTC... cause you know, its gonna be cold and possibly snowing and I'll probably get all hyper and happy that I'm out in the "wilderness" that I'll spend my time outdoors making snowangles (if there is snow) or just chilling with the bears at midnight.

:) the installation went really well considering all the last minute panicking due to the rain... but I think everyone had fun... :)
Hmmm, that day (er yester-yesterday) I had a wedding over in Palos Verdes at the really quaint La Vetra Inn. It was up on the hill and overlooked the ocean... perfect for the outdoor ceremony that was planned... unfortunantly the rain kinda ruined that view... but still everything came out beautiful, despite the hectic and rushed air that was in the air as everyone was setting up. It seriously felt like everything was going wrong... I had arrived an hour late due to the traffic, rain, AND the one girl whom I was supposed to carpool with didn't show up at the shop, we only had 2 hours to set up due to the fact that the hotel has an event before our function, and the candels in the centerpieces were getting too hot for our freshflowers and the beautiful lilies were getting singed. But luckily we finished with 10 minutes to spare... unfortunantly, outside the room, guests were already assembled so we had to go out the back door with our supplies, and carry them all to the otherside of the parking lot... IN THE RAIN. It seriously was the worse working conditions EVER!! But you know what, the wedding came out to be one of my absolute favorite ones so far because the setting was so intimate and everything was just beautiful. I also had my usual dreamy "romantic" moment where I just had to go "awwww... it doesn't matter if it rains... to this couple they have the world within each other!" Really... I did. But then I had to stop and decorate the cake table.
*leaving the site*
Nicole: Awww, I kinda wanted to see the brides...
Noelle: Brides?? Like 2 couples getting married?
Nicole: Noo.. more like one couple.. a lesbian couple
Noelle: OooOOo.. thats soooo cute!!
Doug: Maybe one day, you'll find your very own bride.
Anyways, once I got off, I rushed (in a cautious manner) over to Janelle (THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :) *MUAH*) for our Installation banquet. :) I swear... I LOVE MY CLUB... we're a small group but I think we all manage to do great things and have fun when we are all together. We had a little program for the new members (stickpeople slideshow, the "ceremony", etc) and then afterwards had a mini "dance" and karaoke. :) It felt like those high school parties when someone's parents were out of town and so you invited whoever to come on over and kick it... with a DJ. ;) Karaoke was OH so cheesy with Kristen's "Bringing it Home" singing, Mikie, Ryan, and Petey's very interesting rendition of "Nandito Ako", a disturbing "Copacabana" from Armando, we can't forget the giant group sing-a-long of "That's What Friends Are For" Hopefully everyone had fun... I know I did... even though Mikie TOOK Elvis... but then Steph got him back and I stopped crying. YAY!! Afterwards, Petey and Carrie and I had a little sumber party here *tee-hee* But great big THANK YOU's to everyone who came... :) You're the greatest and you completely and utterly ROCK.
Today, (er, yesterday) because of the working in the rain I woke to find my throat sore and my nose runny... yeep! Nicole is getting sick... but on a happy note, while I was walmart this afternoon getting some medicine, I got a call from my boss saying that didn't need me for the event today. :) So I stayed at Walmart a bit longer with Carrie and then we went to Mc Donalds to get HELLO KITTY HAPPY MEALS!! :) Yes... it IS the little things in life that make me happy... friends, family, sunshine, lollipops, flowers, puppies, jumping into puddles with sensible shoes on, good music, and hello kitty....

GWEN DIDN'T GET A ROSE!! Oh my goodness.. you know how heartbroken I was for her when he picked Brooke over her... Really. I was on the verge of tears because I thuoght that they were absolutely perfect for each other... *sigh* I dunno if I can watch "THE BACHELOR" anymore... oh wait.. I can. ;)
This week has been pretty busy with reading, school, work, and a LOT CKI due to the fact that our new member installation banquet is tonight. :) (ooOoOoOOOoooo... so if you wanna come... CALL ME!! Its gonna be a lot of fun... dinner, a program, and a dance!) This week was packed with general meetings, online board meetings, and real-life board meetings... but I think everything will be great tonight. :)
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE ROCKS MY WORLD!!
Just wondering... why did Olive Oyle always choose Popeye over Brutus/Bluto? I'm not defending Brutus/Bluto because he NEVER could understand the concept of "no means no" with Olive... and really that relationship right there would be worthy to be on Dr. Phil... But Olive Oyle was such a tease... I mean she'd lure both guys to her and the flirt with Brutus... and the he gets frisky and she freaks out... and the freakshow Popeye (whos ALWAYS hiding a stash of spinach in his shirt... whats up with that? Why spinach? Why not a granola bar? Its less bulky. Is spinach like Popeye's CRACK?) comes to the rescue. Popeye's body was all dispportioned, he was a smoker, rarely smiled, was incoherant a majority of the time, and he has this really errie cackle. I imagine that he would grind his teeth while sleeping... that would be annoying. Wouldn't you think that if Brutus/Bluto got cleaned up and took some "gentlemen" classes... he'd be worthy enough to take home to the parents?
And I think the overwhelming consensus right now is that Nicole really needs to get out the house more often... no?

*on the gay club*
Kathy: Its like waving a carrot infront of a ravenous rabbit...
Nicole: its actually more like waving a PLASTIC carrot... no bites... its only good to look at.
Kathy: So I took the lollipop out of my mouth and I gave it to him.. and he put it in his mouth.
Nicole: OH MY GOSH!! Thats so romantic!! Did you guys go out to a spaghetti dinner afterwards and did he roll a meatball onto your plate with his nose???
Nicole: You should ask him if he wears a shirt underneath his fireman's uniform... like yellow pants, suspenders, and a barechest??
Kathy: Whats with you and these ghetto-ass questions??
By the way... Kathy is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much more cuter than I am.... AND she has bigger boobs. :) For reals!!
OH! My mom wanted to go return the *smut* DVD today... but then I reminded her that she probably would have to fill out forms and if theres anything more embarassing than buying a DVD called "the puppetry of penis"... its returning it. She agreed and decided that its gonna be a keeper in our library of DVDs. (BTW... it really isn't porn. They actually had a featurette of this show on HBO's REAL SEX... and it was found in the COMEDY section of DVDs as opposed to the covered ADULT/PORNO section... so she really isn't THAT freaky.)

Masquerade was fun!!
The night started when I went to Steph's to meet up with Joe, Son, Anthony, Kristen, Janelle, and Ryan... and I swear... EVERYONE was just looking soooo gorgeous and cute!! :) It seriously was adorable because it felt like high school again with the "couples" taking pictures... we were about to take some girl group shots... guy group shots... and then everyone on the stairs shots... :) Anyways, around 7:45, we were OFF to San Diego!
In my car, we were jamming to my oh so WICKED mix of old school booty "gold digging girls" and old school ghetto "endo smoke" cds, as well as talking to Mikie on the cellie and trying to figure out WHERE on the 5 he was in correlation to us... we finally arrived (as predicted) at 9pm in SD. The orginial plan was to go to Cheesecake Factory for dinner, but the wait was too long. So instead, we walked across the way to the Crocodile Cafe where there wasn't a wait time. I dunno if the food was exactly "great" (don't ask Joe what he thought of it) but hey, we all had fun.
I sorta got lost on my way to the boat... but luckily we all finally got to the dock and the *porn name sounded boat* THE LORD HORNBLOWER. (Kristen and Anthony thought that the Boat was the giant ASS Carnival cruise ship right next to it... but nooope.) :) It was so great! I know I see a lot of my friends on an common basis... but I was SERIOUSLY really happy to see everyone that night. I don't know why... maybe it was just the thrill of being with them in a place aside from here. I was suprised to see Carrie there since I was convinced that she wasn't gonna come... but YAAAY! And Robert was there complete with his "ICE!" (next time you need to spell out SCANDALOUS) ;) After a wait out on the dock and several confusions as to where the line to board the boat was, we finally got on the boat (where I immediently took off my cute but "oh so painful" shoes and we were off!!
The boat circled the harbor while everyone was dancing the night away for a good cause. On the top floor, there was Karaoke... Some peak performances I got to witness were: Petey and Robert rapped "baby got back" while Kristen and I chanted "L.A. face with an Oakland Booty" (which I learned was the backround for that song last time we did go to Elvis!?), Ryan and Petey did "Gin and Juice", Carrie and Alice did Britney Spears "Crazy", Mondo sang "Born to be Wild" and saved himself by having screaming "come on everyone!" and having the floor sing along with him... Mikie entertained with his rendition of Frank Sinatra's "I Got You Under My Skin"... and as an "prep"... Kristen kicked ass singing "Last Dance" and I got to play with the "Shoop Shoop Song." ;)
Downstairs, after all the karaoke madness, we all stuck on the dancefloor (given that that the DJ played a good song). OK... number one thing I've noticed lately is that the moment Britney Spear's "I'm A Slave For You" comes on... girls will GO BUCK WILD. I think its the beat... but put on a normal song on and girls will dance normally... but once you hear that beat... its OVER and this "inner stripping sexpot" is released. And I think guys know this because they pretty much stay on the dance floor and watch us go insane. :) Oh wells.. its a GOOD song. ;)
At 3am, the boat docked and the dance was over.. or so we thought. :) We got off the boat and crossed the street for a mini after-party over at Mikie's car. *gheeetttoooo* But the cops came and people started to disburst. It was time to go home... so I followed Carrie, Steph follwed me and we went to a nearby Jack In the Box to get some "energy" food... got on the road... and an hour later... we were home. (cause I'm good like that. ;)) My passengers in my car were sleeping 20 minutes into the ride, so I kept myself awake by SINGING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS to oldies. ;) Dropped off the kids at Stephs and drove home... were I pretty much contemplated if I should just sleep in my car on the driveway.. but I mustered up the energy to get inside the house and into my bed.
~*~ and thus completes my Masquerade ball experience~*~ GREAT JOB JEAN and UCSD CKI!!
This afternoon, was awaken by Carlene... washed cars... and went to Frys where my mom was extremely embarassed for buying a "smutt* DVD (aka the Puppetry of Penis) but still got it anyhow for her upcoming Christmas party with her gal-pals. Oh my.... Melissa came over and we watched Amelie and munched on leftover Halloween candy. :) *good "chill* times...

Its November 2. Do you know what today is?? Happy All Saints Day!! :) Now everyone needs to go dress up like their favorite Saint and sing "When the Saints Go Marching In." That's what you did in the Second grade at Holy Name.... :) Ahhhh.. memories...
Today was a really good day despite only having about 3 1/2 hours of sleep the night before... We had the last day of our "Bake Sale" week at school... and Anthony and I manned the table for it today. :) By 11, we were practically begging people just to TAKE the brownies and cookies cause we were pretty much tired and just wanted to leave already. But, its all good.. we made $$$ and now we have transportation to FTC! :) WHoohooo!! Sure beats walking... ha ha ha?
So I had made reservations at the Getty for the LA Enkanto concert at 7:30pm... I needed to be there by 7pm... I left around 5pm thinking "hey! I can get there by 6pm and check out the Dorothea Lange exhibit before the concert! Good deal!" But nooooope... I did leave around 5pm, but the traffic on the 60 was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad that an hour into my "drive" I still hadn't passed the 605 yet. (I seriously was freaking out and screaming out my frustrations at the top of my lungs... I really wasn't a pretty sight.) Luckily Carlene arrived at the museum first and when I finally met up with her and Joe at 7:15pm... she had checked in and had my sticker for me. :) The concert was really chill and laid back... but it definitely had its moments with some really thought provoking pieces. :) I think that's the best way to describe it... I really liked it. :)
Afterwards, we were sooo hungry, so we drove down to Santa Monica where according to the preacher-guy on 3rd St... We're gonna go to hell. Oh my.... well at least we'll all be together. :) Had a late dinner and walked around the area... Decided that Joe can probably pull off a burlap sack if it truly were "trendy", checked out the street performers who seriously were ALL on "30 Seconds to Fame", Carlene dug through EVERY bin to find the perfect "homies" over at Puzzle Zoo... and later decided that it was more fun to try to get them in the vending machine (???)... and I got 2 new books at Borders as well as had an interesting discussion with the clerk on the new Christina Aguliera cd.
Borders lady store closing announcment: "Its 11:54. What are you still doing here?"
Tomorrow, (er Today...) its MASQUERADE and I recieved oh so happy news on my voicemail earlier tonight... I HAVE THE DAY OFF!! :) You know what that means... sweet glorious sleeping I get to catch up on! :) *big obnoxious YAAAY*

Nicole's Halloween Blog
Halloween started off like a normal day. Went to work, where I rolled a LOT of fabric and painted a bunch of centerpieces (and my foot) brown... You know... same old same old. :) The offical "Halloween" part came when I got dressed in my costume (I got the cute french maid costume.. complete with a feather duster! ;)) It was getting dark and I realized that we didn't have enough candy for all the neighborhood kids, so went to K-mart where last minute Halloween candy was only $1.49 and crazy adults were filling their carts to the brim with it.
Anyways, came home, gave out some candy to the early trick or treaters, and then leave to go to Stephanies for some CKI trick or treating. :) Its been a while since I've gushed my love for my club.. so I'll do it now. I just love my club... :) They're too cute... Everyone (excpet Son) got dressed up and the vibe was great and everyone was having fun... :) We got a lot of canned food donations, clothes, AND even got cash from some houses!! *pst* it was my group of Anthony, Jennilee, and Stephanie that had really good luck with the houses.. ;) Some of the houses were really sweet and gave us candy too! ;)
After trick or treating, Janelle and myself jammed over to Diamond Bar to meet up with Janelle's sister Janine... and then off to Pasadena to pick up Eileen... and then it was OFF TO WEST HOLLYWOOD!! :) Or so we thought... Sunset Blvd was a b*tch. It seriously took us 2 hours to get from LA to La Cienega Blvd... and when we finally got there, it was just too crowded and finding parking was nearly impossible. But all was not lost... we got to scope out the local scenary and pleathora of totally ingeneous costumes roaming the streets. :) Well, after figuring out that there was NO way in tarnation that we were gonna get to the carnival, we decided to back to the Hollywood to go clubbing. We arrived at the Hollywood Ahtletic Club for "Tigerheat" at 1am after an addition hour in Sunset Traffic... :D Woah... TIGERHEAT? YEEEP!! I got to go to a GAY CLUB!! hahahahahahah.... it seriously was SOOOO MUCH FUN!! And at the same time.. oh so very frustrating because every guy there was just gorgeous (not to mention half naked) and well... they were all gay. Sadness... but other than the whole "gay... I'm not gonna find anyone there" factor... it was such an experience. The club itself reminded me a lot of that one club Motions in Florida... you know *if you were there* with the giant TV and videos playing and all... A gay club on halloween.. Wow. :) SO i was surrounded by tons of drag queens (good portion dressed up like Christina Aguliera because it was a promotion night for her new CD) and like I mentioned before half naked/bared chested guys... guys dressed up like extremly SEXY sailors, priests, boy scouts, firemen, cowboys, indians.... yeah.. there was a LOT of skin. (no sexy Indiana Jones costumes... but then again... its a Gay club) Janelle and I were having "oh my gosh can I touch you" fascinations.... OH!! A guy said that I was beautiful....but i thought it was a girl dressed up as a guy... so i was kinda freaked.. but Janine said it really was a guy. He was gay though... but it was still nice. :) Anyways, yeah definitely an experience....

Pssst... today is the day where its NORMAL to be kinda freaky... ;) GO ALL OUT!!

Oh my goodness... my legs are in pain... Monday night, went to a hip hop class with Stephanie, Kristen and Janelle and man... it wasn't like "lets dance!".. it was more like "Hi... my name is Mark and I'm gonna kick your ass. Now DANCE!!" Actually, it was a lot of fun, just a real workout and now my thighs are aching pretty badly.
Anyways, today was a really cool day... Carlene and I went to Disney California Adventures today and checked out the Angels Parade... :) The park was the most crowded I've ever seen it... and everyone and their mothers were all dolled up in their Angels gear. *well duh* Once again, we scored some free thundersticks and halos... :) (this time we ACTUALLY used them.... SOO MUCH FUN!) Yeah... Can I say that Tim Salmon is damn hot and sexy and that I am so absolutely in LOVE with him!?! *grrr* We were standing up on a wall during the parade... clapping our thundersticks, and screaming like crazy!! After the parade, there was a Q&A session with some of the players and so Carlene and I got to check out the session with the Molina brothers, David Eckstein, and the oh so dreamy Tim Salmon and they were all sooooo sweet. One girl asked them what was their inspiration to continue playing and Tim Salmon got up and pointed at her and screamed "YOU!". I wish I was that girl... but really they were all so down to earth and sweet. :) Carlene got *this* close to Jose Molina and getting his autograph... but alas no... he had to go. OHHH!! They also had that kid that was dressed up as a rally monkey at the games IN the parade... OH!! AND the real rally monkey too!! I was impressed. Anyways, I'm really glad that Carlene forced me to watch the the games with her because now I'm actually interested in and enjoy the sport... YAY! I'm a horrid *gasp* bandwagon fan... but hey.. you gotta start somewhere!! I used to think that it was really borning... but now... its pretty cool. I still dont understand statistics and such... but I do know the basics... and that those guys are damn cute! ;)
Nicole: Baseball players are so much cuter than basketball players...
Carlene: They're whiter...
*I also think the uniform does something for them too... ;)
Admist all the Angel happenings... we went around the park were Carlene almost puked on the roller coaster ("why are you nervous? It only goes 55 miles per ho... OH MY GOOOOODDDDDD!") and I went to the "Its Fun to Be a Bug" 3D movie without crying. Went to the new "Flicks Fun Fair" were we noticed that the benches are made out of giant popcicle sticks... and like half of it was dyed by the "popcicle"... too cute! And "slim" the stickbug hidden within the bamboo just made me laugh... again... and again... and again... "I'M THE STICK WITH THE EYEBALLS!" ;)
Anyways, I'm excited for this upcoming weekend. :) So much going on... and its going so much fun! PLUS its Halloween, I have a costume AND actually have plans.. ;) Ooohhh yeeahhh...

YAAAY ANGELS!!! :) Carlene made me watch games 6 and 7 with her... so I'm understanding the game more. :) Soooo double YAAAY!! Now Orange County will riot... go to Disneyland in turn over a tram or something wicked and wild like that. Or perhaps not. :)
Carlene: I really want the Angels to win.... so Disney can make a movie out of it.
Carlene: They're called the "Angels".. they're like on God's side....
~Actually, I think this is really funny because I was driving pass a chuch in Fullerton, and outside there was a message box of some sort and it said GO ANGELS!! really really big... and then underneath, it had a quote from the scriptures in a smaller font. Weirdness.
I was going through some of my old notes from high school, freshman year, today and I was seriously dying because some of them were just soo funny!
"Are you going to the dance on Friday? I'm pissed because I can't because my dad said if I go, I won't get any good grades and I'll probably have a boyfriend and get pregnant. Stupid!"
~she did become pregnant 4 years later...
The really funny ones were from Lisa, who was just so brutally honest and mean...
"Do you really want to watch movies? I do. What is there to watch? Dumb and Dumber with Jim Carrey? Does Sarah really think she's going with us? I hope not. I wonder who will go with Jessica to the Mistletoe Masquerade? I feel sorry for that person."
These notes were just hilarious because a lot of them seemed rather ghetto... and the note writers were girls in a catholic school in Glendora! :) Not only were we ghetto... we were freaking BOY CRAZY!! I'm looking back and I'm wondering who are all these boys we were writing about!!?! Like ok.. Lisa, Mel if you can help me.. who was Chris!?! I dunno... It made me remember the days of Mr Dennison "aka Senor Chipmunk", dances were we all had to scramble to find a date (definitely not a perk in an all girl high school), and going "out" just to find some boys...
Anyways, speaking of those crazy high school days, Carlene and I seriously wanna throw one of those old school garage parties. :) You know... djs in the garage with sheets over the shelves so that people wouldn't see your crap. :) Fog machines and lazer rays... Dance crews coming and performing their latest routine, *the radio plays our favorite song and thats what keeps me holding on* kind of jams, and you know if it was REALLY REALLY good, the dj would start freestyling rapping. *oh memories* And afterwards, we'll all go to starshots and take some giant ass group pics... ;) Yeah.. its GOING happen... just wait. ;) I'll let you know...

I love my family and family dinners. :) I just love the fact that I can easily converse and joke around with my uncles and aunties as well as my cousins and that everytime we do get together, I just know its going to be a lot of fun. I saw "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" a while ago and it totally reminded me of my family... how they're just HUGE in general and how when you think "a small family gathering" it really is the ENTIRE FAMILY... aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends who are considered aunts and uncles, EVERYONE... and how everyone is willing to help even if you don't need it, they're there. But yeah, I totally love times like today when we all just sit down and fool around... Yeah, most of the time we're making fun of Jr... but hey we LOVE him. :) He's just too funny sometimes and we can't help it. (One time in HS, he had to carry around a fake robot baby that cried like every 20 minutes...so he brought it to a family party. But his was a black baby *all the other asain looking babies were taken* and it was sooo ghetto wearing only a diaper, a raggity tshirt and a baseball cap. So the running joke of the night was that jr had cybersex with some chick and she send the baby to its daddy. ;)) He pretty much gives us a LOT of fuel to burn with all his crazy girlfriends and exploits and so on and so on and so on... ;) But I love him... I wouldn't trade him for a nice pair of shoes. ;)
*fortune cookies*
jr: mine says that I will be hearing good news soon. oooh yeeeaah... something might happen tonight!
nicole: yeah some girl is going to come up to you and say "I'm not pregnant!"
carlene: or "You didn't give to me!" or "The rash will be gone in 4 days!!"
jr: how's ________?
carlene: I dunno... she's a whore.
jr: oh yeah? HOOK IT UP!
:) OH! You know what I noticed... on October 24th it was my blogspot's 2nd birthday!! Yes ladies and gentlemen... I am a certified DORK. Its hard to believe that I have been writing in this for 2 years... oh wait.. its not that hard because I can go back and relive all those crazy times. But a great big THANKS to Blogger for allowing me to express myself in such a intersting and public manner. I think over the past 2 years, I've found a way to vent, relax, be silly, and to just capture those moments of my life that maybe in 20 years I won't remember. And thanks to you... crazy hopefully non-psychotic reader (all 8 of you!). If you've been reading this for past 2 years (If I'm insane for writing... then you're pretty insane as well for reading it this long!) or maybe just the past 2 days... thanks for looking and thanks for caring even just a little.

:) I've been extremely scatterbrained lately... i really dont know why but I am. People would think that maybe I have a lot of my mind... or Carrie insist that I have "someone" on my mind... but honestly, I really don't. I'm just not thinking clearly. Like take yesterday for instance, I competely forgot about my club's "halloween pre-preparation" as well as chillin with Beth... Weirdness... on the brightside, the ATM card that I thought that I had lost for the second time this month (the first time I had left it in the ATM machine and the bank called) I found the other day inside my car. Soooo yay!! No more lost ATM card!
Hmmmm... so anything new? Gosh darnit.. I had something interesting to blog about but i FORGOT! Curse it all to hell!! Hmmmmm.. let me think a bit.
In the meantime, let me gush my love for my homeclub. :) Yeeeep... they are way too cute! Everyone is happy and friendly, theres great chemistry between everyone, and overall just GREAT times everytime we do something. Our board meetings are too much fun and I swear, everyone's mouths are hurting from laughing too much. :) They're a great bunch and I'm totally happy to be a part of it.
Hmm... I still don't remember what I was going to blog about!! FREAK!!
Um... I got new cute dress for Masquerade. :) I was debating on getting dress or halloween costume because I had found this REALLY REALLY adorable "french maid" costume while shopping. OKOK!! NOW I KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING TO BLOG ABOUT! :) Ok.. so yeah, I found this cute costume and I was really torn between getting it or not because I'm only going to use it ONE TIME this entire year. ONE TIME... so I was thinking like wouldn't it be wonderful if Halloween was like a monthly holiday... so that people can dress up like freaks more than one time a year? Or like if it were perfectly acceptable to dress up like a french maid like on a wednesday afternoon in April without really having to be a french maid? See.. I would have gotten the costume just for trick-or-treating for donations (CKI style) but I dunno... usually french maid costumes are pretty skanky/sexy (however way you see it) and I would be kind of weird wearing it to a CKI thing... rather to some wild ON E! halloween party... now if there WAS some party that I knew of, then maybe... but since there isn't... then nah.
Growing up, we had cute costumes at first when my nanang made them (I was a carebear... carlene was rainbow brite... and she also made our devil and witch costumes) but getting older, it was more like a "look in the closet and be CREATIVE" which is a good thing, but often resulted in kinda crappy costumes. SO there were gypsies, hippies, opera singers, bloodied doctors, housewife... etc. One year Carlene and I used our flower girl dresses that we had worn in weddings and we were to be princesses!! YAY! An actually pretty girlie costume! But instead of buying fancy tiaras form the store, my mom cut crowns out of orange construction paper and put glitter on them. So that night, while we were trick-or-treating at the Montclair Mall with Melissa, Nick, and Maria... Melissa and Maria and REAL crowns... and Carlene and I had our sad "sort of looks like Burger King" crowns to go with our fancy dresses. To this day, Mel still makes fun of my ghetto crown... ;P OH wells, those were still some good times. :)

*awww* :)
Since while in this downloading mp3 frenzy... I've been downloading songs I think were on my old computer and just songs that come to my mind. Actually I'm downloading a lot of old songs.. and you know how sometimes you have a song that you affliate with a certain memory? Yeah... I've found a lot of them. Right now, I'm in this "slow jam" mode and so my heart is making these retarded flutters for certain songs because of those certain "romantic" memories. Its nothing really juicy... they're small little things.. like "oh this is the song that I remember was playing while writing in my diary about this crush " or "this song totally reminds me of another crush" or my favorite "this is the song that when I was 12 years old... I pretended to slow danced to in my bedroom with Paul Sheilds" (stop laughing Keri) Sweet, innocent and cute things... and so my mind simply goes back to a time when everything was hokey and boys were simple. (they pulled on your hair... and *boom* you were in love) Amazingly enough, a lot of these songs are back from my highschool/elementary days... Those early silly schoolgirl crushes were like deep impacts in your life. I can totally look back and laugh at them now, but crushes like that were magical. And so when I hear these songs, its like the magic comes back *as cheesy as it is* and puts me in this super lovey dovey mentality that love is really out there...

:)) soooo.. like I said before Crazy Kompetition for Infants South was pretty successful. :) We raised just over $1000 and I think everyone had a good time... so a great big YAY!!
Ok wait.. let me start about my "weekend" and then I'll get to that...
Saturday was excruciatingly long. 3 weddings!! ARGH! Anaheim, Garden Groove, and Whitter... so at least they were all somewhat close to my vincinity and to each other. Afterwards, rushed home and got ready for the Magic Kingdom new member orientation. Dropped by Albertsons for dessert and then went to Steph's. (I also had Elvis!? with me... it was his FIRST CKI event! YAAY!) Oh my gosh... Janelle carved us a pumkin that said CSUF CKI!? on it... it was soo cute!! Janelle gots skills! :) Kicked it there for a while, met some new people, had some bbq... and then it was off to the airport to pick up Alice and Tracy. Went to Walmart to get some last minute items, and then to Blockbuster to rent "Monty Python"... Petey came over and I put them to work cutting lilypads and strips and strips and strips of blindfolds... as well as thinking of animals who make noise. Since I probably would need Petey's assistance at 9am the next morning, he spent the night and we all watched the end of "Beauty and the Beast."
OK... NOW.
Woke up early on Sunday morning, got ready, packed my supplies (where I discovered that my family had been eating the eggs, and some of the ones that were still there... were actually cracked) and drove on over to the park. Set up what we could... and then soon enough, clubs started coming. Registration was a bit hectic... but isn't it always like that?
At 11:10.. the games started.
Some highlights:
-6 legged races... oh my goodness... who know that it would actually work. A big bias yay for my home club for coming in 3rd there... :)
-Everyone slowly rolling eggs with their noses... people going CRAZY eating their oranges...one of the csuf members just bit into it.. peel and all.
-Standing in the middle of the field, while 80 people blindfolded and making an animal noises and trying to find their fellow animals. I swear.. it was a jungle!!
-Watching UCSD give up on crawling and instead "rolling" in their garbage bags for the Caterpillar relay
-Mikie getting a diaper on the stuff animal blindfolded... and Mondo first diapering the animal's head.
-Poor ECC during the mummy wrap... they totally had a great technique. Someone was lightly holding the roll of tolietpaper and just unraveling it there... unfortunantly, they let go of it and sangeeta was blindfolded, on her knees looking for it... while it was hanging from someone's arm.
-UCR's Petey and 4 girls taking a lead again OCC's 5 guys during the tug-o-war.. but then OCC won. During those moments when OCC was being dragged.. I swear you could hear everyone cry "OH SHIT!!!"
-During lunch, due to a picnic area mixup... we asked everyone to eat on the field. About 20 minutes into it... the sprinklers went off.
:) SO yeah, the event was pretty great... even with all the weird stuff happening. We made money for a good cause and we had a lot of fun (hopefully). So... great big THANK YOUS to Carrie, Petey, Tracy, Alice, Mondo, Stephanie, Kristen, and Anthony for being SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful and great and just overall "awesome." I totally all owe you one...
Anyways, today is my Dad's birthday... so.. Happy Birthday Dad!

:) YAAAY!! Crazy Kompetition for Infants was a success! :D At least I think so... nevertheless... I'm so very happy... and so very relieved. Today was one of those most stressful days I've had in a long time... I'll blog all about it later... Nicole is a very sleepy girl. I LOVE EVERYONE!! :) *yes... even you crazy psychoguy... even you... but for today ONLY. So don't go thinking crazy psycho things...

Today, Carlene was making fun of Michael in the car because of his childhood diet of "ramen and rice." This sparked a rather hilarious memory of our own school lunches that our dad prepared for us while in elementary school. See, growing up filipino in the very "white" city of San Dimas was pretty interesting... so at first, school lunch, "baon" in tagalog, would consist of your traditional filipino foods... pretty much whatever was leftover from your dinner the night before. But during that age, you want to be the same as the other kids... so Carlene and I would come home wishing we had sandwiches and juice boxes like the other, as opposed to our tupperware of pancit and flat soda in our thermos. Since my dad prepared our lunches in the mornings, he really didn't know what to do when we asked for a "sandwich" so... he grabbed 2 pieces of white bread and slathered some mayonaise on it. TA DA! A Sandwich! :) A mayonaise sandwich.... but hey it was a step closer to Americana. A variation he had on this sandwich was 2 pieces of white bread, some butter and a sprinkle of sugar... TA DA! A really weird sugar/butter sandwich... but it was still good. Eventually, my mom figured that we would need some luncheon meat along with that mayonaise sandwich... so the weird sandwich thing didn't last for long.
OH... also my dad had this variation of an "ice cream sandwich." Any guesses as to what was in it?
Birthdays and girl scouts "snacks" were different too. Remember how parents used to bring in treats for the class when it was your birthday... like a cupcake or icecream cups? Well, my parents did that too... but it wasn't the usual sweet dessert type... nooope. They brought in lumpia. OH yeah... none of the kids in the class liked to eat egg rolls.. but all the teachers just LOVED us for that... they would come barreling down from the faculty room to get some lumpia. But its the thought that counts huh.. my parents were trying and although I probably was cringing at that tray of fried meat at the time, looking back at it really makes me smile and feel so grateful for some terriffic parents.
Bombie once told me that when his class had a potluck and his assignment was to bring in "chips." Tita Lagring got him "shrimp chips." Now... that's pretty bad. ;)
~*~
Today, er yesterday, spent it down at Downtown Disney... ok. Just a note... if you are a Giants fan, don't go to the Disneyland area sporting your gear. Angels stadium is like 5 minutes away.. (Anaheim Angels.. you just won the world series!! Where are you going to go?.... "We're going DOWN THE STREET!") and Disney owns them... so by wearing your Giants hat in that vicinity, complete strangers will start coughing *loser loser* right next to you... or stare at you in a vicious manner. Anaheim fans won't kill you... and I highly doubt that if they win, they'll start turning Disneyland trams over and rioting in the Mickey & Friends parking structure... but you'll be harassed by everyone afflilated with the Mouse.
:) Now on a brighter note, since I was there, they had the Offical Angels Rally and I got a free halo (which is kinda ugly) and those plastic banger noise maker thingies. :) And I had no clue that was all going to be there when I went... Neat huh. :) I'm not much of a baseball fan, but you can't help but get swept up in the excitement of it all... especially if the team is from your area. So... Go Angels! ;)

:) had a great "board meeting" today... we met up at Downtown Disney to create our mascot "Elvis!?" at the Build-A-Bear for the club. He's sooo cute... he's kinda pudgy with a little elephant tummy sticking out... you know.. *Solid.. like a tree* ;) , but he's ghetto with his backwards bandana, saggy jeans with undies sticking out and a wifebeater. :) TOO CUTE! The essence of cal-nev-ha ghettoness...
So I'm blogging live and direct from my shiny new computer (which I named HANK... Carrie thinks this name is pretty *hunky* but I think it sounds like a good dependable and reliable name. *Hunky* would be something like "Stone" or "Rock" or "Bo" or "Stallion"... Like an American Gladiator name... but then I can imagine Hank being a studly cowboy or something... hmmmm) Anyways, I'm proud to say that I put this baby and my mom's computer together... :) Who knew that I was capable of it.. but yay I did it. I even did the whole router thing... which was a bit weird cause its wireless and the directions had a lot of big time computer jargon going on. I kinda freaked a bit when I couldn't install my printer, but luckily Robert and Andy were online and were guiding me to the hp website. :) Thanks guys!! My room is a complete and TOTAL mess though... but I'll get it cleared up before the weekend. :) Anyways, Hank is a really nifty computer. Its fast and though it grinds like my old computer... it grinds in a way thats like "I'm getting the job DOONE!" as opposed to the old computer grinding "Oh no.. you want me to what!??!" But my old computer has 5 years of memories... not to mention about 500 mp3s on it still (some of which I downloaded back when Napster was a hot commidity... and I had a dial up modem. So some of those songs were like 30 downloading minutes of my life...) I'll probably figure out a way to get the stuff transferred onto Hank. Good ole reliable Hank... :)
