HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
Pssst... today is the day where its NORMAL to be kinda freaky... ;) GO ALL OUT!!

Wednesday, October 30, 2002

Oh my goodness... my legs are in pain... Monday night, went to a hip hop class with Stephanie, Kristen and Janelle and man... it wasn't like "lets dance!".. it was more like "Hi... my name is Mark and I'm gonna kick your ass. Now DANCE!!" Actually, it was a lot of fun, just a real workout and now my thighs are aching pretty badly.

Anyways, today was a really cool day... Carlene and I went to Disney California Adventures today and checked out the Angels Parade... :) The park was the most crowded I've ever seen it... and everyone and their mothers were all dolled up in their Angels gear. *well duh* Once again, we scored some free thundersticks and halos... :) (this time we ACTUALLY used them.... SOO MUCH FUN!) Yeah... Can I say that Tim Salmon is damn hot and sexy and that I am so absolutely in LOVE with him!?! *grrr* We were standing up on a wall during the parade... clapping our thundersticks, and screaming like crazy!! After the parade, there was a Q&A session with some of the players and so Carlene and I got to check out the session with the Molina brothers, David Eckstein, and the oh so dreamy Tim Salmon and they were all sooooo sweet. One girl asked them what was their inspiration to continue playing and Tim Salmon got up and pointed at her and screamed "YOU!". I wish I was that girl... but really they were all so down to earth and sweet. :) Carlene got *this* close to Jose Molina and getting his autograph... but alas no... he had to go. OHHH!! They also had that kid that was dressed up as a rally monkey at the games IN the parade... OH!! AND the real rally monkey too!! I was impressed. Anyways, I'm really glad that Carlene forced me to watch the the games with her because now I'm actually interested in and enjoy the sport... YAY! I'm a horrid *gasp* bandwagon fan... but hey.. you gotta start somewhere!! I used to think that it was really borning... but now... its pretty cool. I still dont understand statistics and such... but I do know the basics... and that those guys are damn cute! ;)

Nicole: Baseball players are so much cuter than basketball players...
Carlene: They're whiter...
*I also think the uniform does something for them too... ;)

Admist all the Angel happenings... we went around the park were Carlene almost puked on the roller coaster ("why are you nervous? It only goes 55 miles per ho... OH MY GOOOOODDDDDD!") and I went to the "Its Fun to Be a Bug" 3D movie without crying. Went to the new "Flicks Fun Fair" were we noticed that the benches are made out of giant popcicle sticks... and like half of it was dyed by the "popcicle"... too cute! And "slim" the stickbug hidden within the bamboo just made me laugh... again... and again... and again... "I'M THE STICK WITH THE EYEBALLS!" ;)

Anyways, I'm excited for this upcoming weekend. :) So much going on... and its going so much fun! PLUS its Halloween, I have a costume AND actually have plans.. ;) Ooohhh yeeahhh...

YAAAY ANGELS!!! :) Carlene made me watch games 6 and 7 with her... so I'm understanding the game more. :) Soooo double YAAAY!! Now Orange County will riot... go to Disneyland in turn over a tram or something wicked and wild like that. Or perhaps not. :)

Carlene: I really want the Angels to win.... so Disney can make a movie out of it.

Carlene: They're called the "Angels".. they're like on God's side....
~Actually, I think this is really funny because I was driving pass a chuch in Fullerton, and outside there was a message box of some sort and it said GO ANGELS!! really really big... and then underneath, it had a quote from the scriptures in a smaller font. Weirdness.

I was going through some of my old notes from high school, freshman year, today and I was seriously dying because some of them were just soo funny!
"Are you going to the dance on Friday? I'm pissed because I can't because my dad said if I go, I won't get any good grades and I'll probably have a boyfriend and get pregnant. Stupid!"
~she did become pregnant 4 years later...

The really funny ones were from Lisa, who was just so brutally honest and mean...
"Do you really want to watch movies? I do. What is there to watch? Dumb and Dumber with Jim Carrey? Does Sarah really think she's going with us? I hope not. I wonder who will go with Jessica to the Mistletoe Masquerade? I feel sorry for that person."

These notes were just hilarious because a lot of them seemed rather ghetto... and the note writers were girls in a catholic school in Glendora! :) Not only were we ghetto... we were freaking BOY CRAZY!! I'm looking back and I'm wondering who are all these boys we were writing about!!?! Like ok.. Lisa, Mel if you can help me.. who was Chris!?! I dunno... It made me remember the days of Mr Dennison "aka Senor Chipmunk", dances were we all had to scramble to find a date (definitely not a perk in an all girl high school), and going "out" just to find some boys...

Anyways, speaking of those crazy high school days, Carlene and I seriously wanna throw one of those old school garage parties. :) You know... djs in the garage with sheets over the shelves so that people wouldn't see your crap. :) Fog machines and lazer rays... Dance crews coming and performing their latest routine, *the radio plays our favorite song and thats what keeps me holding on* kind of jams, and you know if it was REALLY REALLY good, the dj would start freestyling rapping. *oh memories* And afterwards, we'll all go to starshots and take some giant ass group pics... ;) Yeah.. its GOING happen... just wait. ;) I'll let you know...

I love my family and family dinners. :) I just love the fact that I can easily converse and joke around with my uncles and aunties as well as my cousins and that everytime we do get together, I just know its going to be a lot of fun. I saw "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" a while ago and it totally reminded me of my family... how they're just HUGE in general and how when you think "a small family gathering" it really is the ENTIRE FAMILY... aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends who are considered aunts and uncles, EVERYONE... and how everyone is willing to help even if you don't need it, they're there. But yeah, I totally love times like today when we all just sit down and fool around... Yeah, most of the time we're making fun of Jr... but hey we LOVE him. :) He's just too funny sometimes and we can't help it. (One time in HS, he had to carry around a fake robot baby that cried like every 20 minutes...so he brought it to a family party. But his was a black baby *all the other asain looking babies were taken* and it was sooo ghetto wearing only a diaper, a raggity tshirt and a baseball cap. So the running joke of the night was that jr had cybersex with some chick and she send the baby to its daddy. ;)) He pretty much gives us a LOT of fuel to burn with all his crazy girlfriends and exploits and so on and so on and so on... ;) But I love him... I wouldn't trade him for a nice pair of shoes. ;)

*fortune cookies*
jr: mine says that I will be hearing good news soon. oooh yeeeaah... something might happen tonight!
nicole: yeah some girl is going to come up to you and say "I'm not pregnant!"
carlene: or "You didn't give to me!" or "The rash will be gone in 4 days!!"

jr: how's ________?
carlene: I dunno... she's a whore.
jr: oh yeah? HOOK IT UP!

:) OH! You know what I noticed... on October 24th it was my blogspot's 2nd birthday!! Yes ladies and gentlemen... I am a certified DORK. Its hard to believe that I have been writing in this for 2 years... oh wait.. its not that hard because I can go back and relive all those crazy times. But a great big THANKS to Blogger for allowing me to express myself in such a intersting and public manner. I think over the past 2 years, I've found a way to vent, relax, be silly, and to just capture those moments of my life that maybe in 20 years I won't remember. And thanks to you... crazy hopefully non-psychotic reader (all 8 of you!). If you've been reading this for past 2 years (If I'm insane for writing... then you're pretty insane as well for reading it this long!) or maybe just the past 2 days... thanks for looking and thanks for caring even just a little.

OHHH!! Before I forget.. a great big Happy Birthday to my cousin Angel who's turning 18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGEL! *MUAH*You know what this means now... all the Concepcion girls are old enough to go *wink* clubbing.... UH OH... ;)

:) I've been extremely scatterbrained lately... i really dont know why but I am. People would think that maybe I have a lot of my mind... or Carrie insist that I have "someone" on my mind... but honestly, I really don't. I'm just not thinking clearly. Like take yesterday for instance, I competely forgot about my club's "halloween pre-preparation" as well as chillin with Beth... Weirdness... on the brightside, the ATM card that I thought that I had lost for the second time this month (the first time I had left it in the ATM machine and the bank called) I found the other day inside my car. Soooo yay!! No more lost ATM card!

Hmmmm... so anything new? Gosh darnit.. I had something interesting to blog about but i FORGOT! Curse it all to hell!! Hmmmmm.. let me think a bit.

In the meantime, let me gush my love for my homeclub. :) Yeeeep... they are way too cute! Everyone is happy and friendly, theres great chemistry between everyone, and overall just GREAT times everytime we do something. Our board meetings are too much fun and I swear, everyone's mouths are hurting from laughing too much. :) They're a great bunch and I'm totally happy to be a part of it.

Hmm... I still don't remember what I was going to blog about!! FREAK!!

Um... I got new cute dress for Masquerade. :) I was debating on getting dress or halloween costume because I had found this REALLY REALLY adorable "french maid" costume while shopping. OKOK!! NOW I KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING TO BLOG ABOUT! :) Ok.. so yeah, I found this cute costume and I was really torn between getting it or not because I'm only going to use it ONE TIME this entire year. ONE TIME... so I was thinking like wouldn't it be wonderful if Halloween was like a monthly holiday... so that people can dress up like freaks more than one time a year? Or like if it were perfectly acceptable to dress up like a french maid like on a wednesday afternoon in April without really having to be a french maid? See.. I would have gotten the costume just for trick-or-treating for donations (CKI style) but I dunno... usually french maid costumes are pretty skanky/sexy (however way you see it) and I would be kind of weird wearing it to a CKI thing... rather to some wild ON E! halloween party... now if there WAS some party that I knew of, then maybe... but since there isn't... then nah.

Growing up, we had cute costumes at first when my nanang made them (I was a carebear... carlene was rainbow brite... and she also made our devil and witch costumes) but getting older, it was more like a "look in the closet and be CREATIVE" which is a good thing, but often resulted in kinda crappy costumes. SO there were gypsies, hippies, opera singers, bloodied doctors, housewife... etc. One year Carlene and I used our flower girl dresses that we had worn in weddings and we were to be princesses!! YAY! An actually pretty girlie costume! But instead of buying fancy tiaras form the store, my mom cut crowns out of orange construction paper and put glitter on them. So that night, while we were trick-or-treating at the Montclair Mall with Melissa, Nick, and Maria... Melissa and Maria and REAL crowns... and Carlene and I had our sad "sort of looks like Burger King" crowns to go with our fancy dresses. To this day, Mel still makes fun of my ghetto crown... ;P OH wells, those were still some good times. :)

*awww* :)

Since while in this downloading mp3 frenzy... I've been downloading songs I think were on my old computer and just songs that come to my mind. Actually I'm downloading a lot of old songs.. and you know how sometimes you have a song that you affliate with a certain memory? Yeah... I've found a lot of them. Right now, I'm in this "slow jam" mode and so my heart is making these retarded flutters for certain songs because of those certain "romantic" memories. Its nothing really juicy... they're small little things.. like "oh this is the song that I remember was playing while writing in my diary about this crush " or "this song totally reminds me of another crush" or my favorite "this is the song that when I was 12 years old... I pretended to slow danced to in my bedroom with Paul Sheilds" (stop laughing Keri) Sweet, innocent and cute things... and so my mind simply goes back to a time when everything was hokey and boys were simple. (they pulled on your hair... and *boom* you were in love) Amazingly enough, a lot of these songs are back from my highschool/elementary days... Those early silly schoolgirl crushes were like deep impacts in your life. I can totally look back and laugh at them now, but crushes like that were magical. And so when I hear these songs, its like the magic comes back *as cheesy as it is* and puts me in this super lovey dovey mentality that love is really out there...

:)) soooo.. like I said before Crazy Kompetition for Infants South was pretty successful. :) We raised just over $1000 and I think everyone had a good time... so a great big YAY!!

Ok wait.. let me start about my "weekend" and then I'll get to that...

Saturday was excruciatingly long. 3 weddings!! ARGH! Anaheim, Garden Groove, and Whitter... so at least they were all somewhat close to my vincinity and to each other. Afterwards, rushed home and got ready for the Magic Kingdom new member orientation. Dropped by Albertsons for dessert and then went to Steph's. (I also had Elvis!? with me... it was his FIRST CKI event! YAAY!) Oh my gosh... Janelle carved us a pumkin that said CSUF CKI!? on it... it was soo cute!! Janelle gots skills! :) Kicked it there for a while, met some new people, had some bbq... and then it was off to the airport to pick up Alice and Tracy. Went to Walmart to get some last minute items, and then to Blockbuster to rent "Monty Python"... Petey came over and I put them to work cutting lilypads and strips and strips and strips of blindfolds... as well as thinking of animals who make noise. Since I probably would need Petey's assistance at 9am the next morning, he spent the night and we all watched the end of "Beauty and the Beast."

OK... NOW.

Woke up early on Sunday morning, got ready, packed my supplies (where I discovered that my family had been eating the eggs, and some of the ones that were still there... were actually cracked) and drove on over to the park. Set up what we could... and then soon enough, clubs started coming. Registration was a bit hectic... but isn't it always like that?

At 11:10.. the games started.
Some highlights:
-6 legged races... oh my goodness... who know that it would actually work. A big bias yay for my home club for coming in 3rd there... :)
-Everyone slowly rolling eggs with their noses... people going CRAZY eating their oranges...one of the csuf members just bit into it.. peel and all.
-Standing in the middle of the field, while 80 people blindfolded and making an animal noises and trying to find their fellow animals. I swear.. it was a jungle!!
-Watching UCSD give up on crawling and instead "rolling" in their garbage bags for the Caterpillar relay
-Mikie getting a diaper on the stuff animal blindfolded... and Mondo first diapering the animal's head.
-Poor ECC during the mummy wrap... they totally had a great technique. Someone was lightly holding the roll of tolietpaper and just unraveling it there... unfortunantly, they let go of it and sangeeta was blindfolded, on her knees looking for it... while it was hanging from someone's arm.
-UCR's Petey and 4 girls taking a lead again OCC's 5 guys during the tug-o-war.. but then OCC won. During those moments when OCC was being dragged.. I swear you could hear everyone cry "OH SHIT!!!"
-During lunch, due to a picnic area mixup... we asked everyone to eat on the field. About 20 minutes into it... the sprinklers went off.

:) SO yeah, the event was pretty great... even with all the weird stuff happening. We made money for a good cause and we had a lot of fun (hopefully). So... great big THANK YOUS to Carrie, Petey, Tracy, Alice, Mondo, Stephanie, Kristen, and Anthony for being SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful and great and just overall "awesome." I totally all owe you one...

Anyways, today is my Dad's birthday... so.. Happy Birthday Dad!

:) YAAAY!! Crazy Kompetition for Infants was a success! :D At least I think so... nevertheless... I'm so very happy... and so very relieved. Today was one of those most stressful days I've had in a long time... I'll blog all about it later... Nicole is a very sleepy girl. I LOVE EVERYONE!! :) *yes... even you crazy psychoguy... even you... but for today ONLY. So don't go thinking crazy psycho things...

Today, Carlene was making fun of Michael in the car because of his childhood diet of "ramen and rice." This sparked a rather hilarious memory of our own school lunches that our dad prepared for us while in elementary school. See, growing up filipino in the very "white" city of San Dimas was pretty interesting... so at first, school lunch, "baon" in tagalog, would consist of your traditional filipino foods... pretty much whatever was leftover from your dinner the night before. But during that age, you want to be the same as the other kids... so Carlene and I would come home wishing we had sandwiches and juice boxes like the other, as opposed to our tupperware of pancit and flat soda in our thermos. Since my dad prepared our lunches in the mornings, he really didn't know what to do when we asked for a "sandwich" so... he grabbed 2 pieces of white bread and slathered some mayonaise on it. TA DA! A Sandwich! :) A mayonaise sandwich.... but hey it was a step closer to Americana. A variation he had on this sandwich was 2 pieces of white bread, some butter and a sprinkle of sugar... TA DA! A really weird sugar/butter sandwich... but it was still good. Eventually, my mom figured that we would need some luncheon meat along with that mayonaise sandwich... so the weird sandwich thing didn't last for long.

OH... also my dad had this variation of an "ice cream sandwich." Any guesses as to what was in it?

Birthdays and girl scouts "snacks" were different too. Remember how parents used to bring in treats for the class when it was your birthday... like a cupcake or icecream cups? Well, my parents did that too... but it wasn't the usual sweet dessert type... nooope. They brought in lumpia. OH yeah... none of the kids in the class liked to eat egg rolls.. but all the teachers just LOVED us for that... they would come barreling down from the faculty room to get some lumpia. But its the thought that counts huh.. my parents were trying and although I probably was cringing at that tray of fried meat at the time, looking back at it really makes me smile and feel so grateful for some terriffic parents.

Bombie once told me that when his class had a potluck and his assignment was to bring in "chips." Tita Lagring got him "shrimp chips." Now... that's pretty bad. ;)

~*~

Today, er yesterday, spent it down at Downtown Disney... ok. Just a note... if you are a Giants fan, don't go to the Disneyland area sporting your gear. Angels stadium is like 5 minutes away.. (Anaheim Angels.. you just won the world series!! Where are you going to go?.... "We're going DOWN THE STREET!") and Disney owns them... so by wearing your Giants hat in that vicinity, complete strangers will start coughing *loser loser* right next to you... or stare at you in a vicious manner. Anaheim fans won't kill you... and I highly doubt that if they win, they'll start turning Disneyland trams over and rioting in the Mickey & Friends parking structure... but you'll be harassed by everyone afflilated with the Mouse.

:) Now on a brighter note, since I was there, they had the Offical Angels Rally and I got a free halo (which is kinda ugly) and those plastic banger noise maker thingies. :) And I had no clue that was all going to be there when I went... Neat huh. :) I'm not much of a baseball fan, but you can't help but get swept up in the excitement of it all... especially if the team is from your area. So... Go Angels! ;)

Thursday, October 17, 2002

:) had a great "board meeting" today... we met up at Downtown Disney to create our mascot "Elvis!?" at the Build-A-Bear for the club. He's sooo cute... he's kinda pudgy with a little elephant tummy sticking out... you know.. *Solid.. like a tree* ;) , but he's ghetto with his backwards bandana, saggy jeans with undies sticking out and a wifebeater. :) TOO CUTE! The essence of cal-nev-ha ghettoness...

So I'm blogging live and direct from my shiny new computer (which I named HANK... Carrie thinks this name is pretty *hunky* but I think it sounds like a good dependable and reliable name. *Hunky* would be something like "Stone" or "Rock" or "Bo" or "Stallion"... Like an American Gladiator name... but then I can imagine Hank being a studly cowboy or something... hmmmm) Anyways, I'm proud to say that I put this baby and my mom's computer together... :) Who knew that I was capable of it.. but yay I did it. I even did the whole router thing... which was a bit weird cause its wireless and the directions had a lot of big time computer jargon going on. I kinda freaked a bit when I couldn't install my printer, but luckily Robert and Andy were online and were guiding me to the hp website. :) Thanks guys!! My room is a complete and TOTAL mess though... but I'll get it cleared up before the weekend. :) Anyways, Hank is a really nifty computer. Its fast and though it grinds like my old computer... it grinds in a way thats like "I'm getting the job DOONE!" as opposed to the old computer grinding "Oh no.. you want me to what!??!" But my old computer has 5 years of memories... not to mention about 500 mp3s on it still (some of which I downloaded back when Napster was a hot commidity... and I had a dial up modem. So some of those songs were like 30 downloading minutes of my life...) I'll probably figure out a way to get the stuff transferred onto Hank. Good ole reliable Hank... :)

Ladies and Gentlemen... I'm proud to present to you the comedy stylings to Robert Lopez....

*kathy's sexy fireman instructor*
spaznik: bake him cookies!!
spaznik: or just talk to him after class...
P O T A T E YO: hahah
P O T A T E YO: we shall see
spaznik: ooooO.. good conversation starter... ask him if they really have a pole in the firehouse...
spaznik: and how often do they use it...
P O T A T E YO: I'm too shy!
P O T A T E YO: hahahahaaaaaaaaa
P O T A T E YO: that is great!!
spaznik: yeeeep. that will get the ice breaking...
P O T A T E YO: hahaha
spaznik: he's think "wow.. that a charming woman. id like to have splendid babies with her"
P O T A T E YO: haha
P O T A T E YO: spledid babies ehh...wow...that means I'm at least half splendid!! That's the best compliment I've ever gotten!

Gosh... I miss Kathy. Last time I saw her it was at convention... and that seems like eons ago. KATHY I MISS YOU! (but you know that already.) Yeah.. at convention, since my arm was broken, she was my right hand. (so was Sukhung and Joe whenever we were eating). Whats sad is that she's not going to be at FTC, or GO WEST or Convention this year... its going to be *weird* cause I won't have Kathy there to roll her eyes at everyone's C.R.A.P. or to giggle to each other at how cute our latest crushes are... Even at ICON, it was just different because there was no Kathy or Laura there to kick it with and they're always the *non-diehard CKIer* that I can rely on to have fun FUN with. *sniff* But at least we have AIM... And she called me that one time when she saw *mind blowing pretzels*... she's so sweet. :) As soon as I don't have a wedding weekend and I have money... I'll go up north. I pinky swear... thats to Mel too. :) I miss her too! I really want to meet Ralph and help her kick her shady roomie's ass.

I should be getting a new harddrive tomorrow! YAY! Awwww... but that means *bye bye* to my 5 year old packard bell with a intell celeron. *ooOooo* It was sooo fast and happy when I first got it... but now its just old and decrepid... I can tell. It grinds a lot like its strugging and pissed that I'm asking for a certain program. Its been even more bitchy when Joe fiddled with it awhile ago... awwwww. Poor thing. I feel sorta cold just abandoning it... but wait.. this new one is going to have a burner!! oOoOoOoo..

B. Tina's advice for the day: Grab as much fun as you can get. Cause once he gets a girlfriend, you can only grab him when the girl's not looking.
oh my...

:) gosh... that last blog was a bit BLEH huh. I hate to think that I sounded whiny or retarded... oh wells.. it has passed and today was a way better day. :)

Went to work. :) I'm really loving the nippy weather because I'd rather take on the cold in the warehouse than the heat. Anyways, worked alone, as usual... but at least I can pace myself and dance around to the radio without fears of being seen. :) It looks like next week, I may be putting in more time since Brandi is taking a floral class.. which means more alone time at the shop... but hey.. at least I can study there. :)

Came home, found in my mailbox one more registration for CKI south (YAY!), made some calls and emails... oh excitment. ;) OHH!! The really GREAT thing that made my day was a call I got from one The Laugh Factory who said they wanted to send me donations for this Sunday. (DOUBLE YAY!) So the prizes are even better than before... oOoOoOo.

Anyways, chatted a bit... hence this:
Zasher816: i am a high commodity
Zasher816: i'm like what spam is in hawaii

I was going to go to a service project today, but I was having this horrible headache and deep inside I needed to study for Friday. Bleh.. Anyways, did some studying, now on my "blog/chat/idle" time and I'll probably go back to studying later.

*I'll be back... wait no. that was lame.*
TooMuchPete: Its nawt a tuuuuma! its not a tumor
spaznik: hahahahahahahah...
spaznik: awwwww... have you noticed that every time arnold delivers a line in his movies... its like hes delivering a "catchphrase"
spaznik: hes not like an actor.. he's just a giant catchphrase machine...
TooMuchPete: LOL
TooMuchPete: That's true though.
spaznik: and he always says "I'LL BE BACK"... its so sad.
spaznik: in interviews.. he'll say it.
spaznik: i bet he says it when he's shopping..
spaznik: or cooking...
TooMuchPete: LOL...
spaznik: its like his thing...
TooMuchPete: Yeah... but it is sad.

kerisovery17: you need to blog =)

I'm cooking rice at the moment... so that gives me approximately 15 minutes to blog before dinner. And this is a special one just for that one chick in La Verne. You know who you are... ;) (btw Keri.. I didn't get to see it last week. But my mom filled me in on all the madness... ;))

I had a slight breakdown today in which some tears were shed and many screams frustration were emitted from my mouth. It's weird, because I started the day off in a happy and chipper manner. I went to school... and then at 12, had my CKI meeting where everyone and their mother was in this sluggish/sleepy mood (i think it might be the weather). But nonetheless, I had fun at my meeting, and even explained to Elephante while feeding him a happy dollar my excitment for the upcoming CKI south and how so far planning was doing pretty well. But then I checked my voicemail after the meeting and everything went insane. Apparently those damn park people hadn't recieved some forms... one of which I had already given to the police department who was to forward it to the city... and the other one I had NO IDEA was needed. (I'm not being flaky here... they asked for *insurance* so I turned in the certificate a month ago... but now.. ONE WEEK before the event, they call and say that they want an *endorsement* as well. Why didn't they tell me that when I turned in the certificate a MONTH AGO!!) ARRRGGGGGGHHHHH. So I raced home to search for my proof of the police activity permit and to make a call of *woe* to Bruce who referred me to the insurance company who were veeeerrrryy nice and friendly and ever so helpful. Well, throw in some more psychological factors (an upcoming midterm on friday morning, EXTREME jitters about CKI South and getting everything ready for that) and well, Nicole freaks out. :( Have I mentioned that my HAIR is falling out? Yeah... I think this happens whenever theres a big CKI event and I'm nervous... but thats on back of my mind too. NICOLE IS GOING BALD. *sigh* OH... and there are a few more things too, but I don't want to get into it right now...

Anyways on the bright side... um... there's a sale at GAP? Wait... I can find something better to find... um... I got the Beauty and the Beast DVD. :) OH and throw in the fact that I love my family and my friends... okok. There you go. :) OHHHH!! After going to Carlene's sorority events, my mom is actually coming to one of my CKI events. Its like a first for that... but then again, its actually the first time I've invited her to come. And Carlene is coming too cause *duh* she's a member... ;)

My weekend was pretty quiet. Saturday, had a wedding in the morning, but luckily was finished around 1. My mom had a dish installed and so the day was spent vegging in front of the tv and trying to figure out the channels. I was trying to get my mom to ask the cable guy to give us free porn... but nope. Goshdarnit.

Sunday, went to mass, lunch and shopping (hence the discovery of the sale at the GAP) where Carlene and I tried to convince mom that we were good kids. :) I know Nes will agree with us here... some parents have to worry about their kids doings drugs, joining gangs, whoring themseleves and having illegitimate children. Yeah, we may spend too much on our credit cards or take a while to graduate from college... but heeey.. at least we are in college instead of being barefoot and pregnant, living with our "big poppa" gansta boyfriend. YEEP. We're just a couple of goody-two-shoes, silly, and witty girls from the boonies. How bad is that? :)

Wow... an actual real blog. Well it isnt going to be very exciting due to the fact that my life ISNT exciting at the moment. Or maybe it is... but I don't think so. Its fun! But I'm not running off with any dashing young gentlemen... yet. ;)

Today, class and then drove on over to UCLA for their meeting. While in traffic, there was this scary man in his 40s with long hair who looked at me in my car and made the "puckered lip" motion to me. Oh yes. Right here right now sir. Let me pull over my car and lets get freak nasty while on the shoulder of the 10, right in front of the Staples center. Oh baby oh baby. Riiiiight. In the words of my mom and sister... "I'm rolling my eyes." Then again, if the guy was younger and my type, then I might have winked and paper airplaned my phone number over to his car like a good desperate girl. Then again, I'm good... not desperate.

After the meeting (which went really really well I must say), went on this driving adventure through LA looking for Pinks with Carrie. I had my "intuition" and Carrie had her cellie where she called Armando at home to mapquest directions for us. We still managed to get a little bit lost (we were driving past some shops with names such as LICK, TRUNKS, and OUT... this is when we realized we were in West Hollywood. Oh my! Big beautiful man on giant billboard!!) but we eventually got to Pinks and got some delicious hot dogs. :) Yay!

OH! I must say that our own CSUF meeting this past week was great with some complete "newbies" coming as well as our "newbie-regulars" and "oldies" in attendence. And a lot of dues were paid then also... YAY DUES! :) Joe came to the meeting and he said that we had a great vibe going on which makes me really happy because then hopefully everyone will feel that "vibe" and we'll all be jolly good friends! Afterwards, finalized the park (ITS OURS!!), went to the park for some "visualization", and then went with Joe to get a car wash. You know in "Monsters Inc" when Sully thinks that Boo is getting crushed in the trash compactor, and he's behind the glass just watching the compactor do its this while that lone eyeball that he thinks is Boo moves along the conveyer belt? I totally thought about that while watching Joe's baby get washed, waxed, and dried off in the car wash... I kept on imagining Sully's face of horror and then him fainting... only to get up, look through the glass, make a freaked face, and then faint again. :) I was smiling the entire time...

Speaking of real life instances that remind you of cartoons, for the past couple of nights, there has been a cat outside that has been screeching and meowing like a banchee. I swear to Hades, its freaking loud. At first, I thought that perhaps the house was haunted, and that the ghosts had a 10 month period for new owners to settle in before scaring the shit out of them... but nope. Its a damn cat. Not only does he/she/demoncat screech and meow, he/she/demoncat also hits trashcans/fences/makes demoncat racket. That reminded me of those Garfield cartoons when he's on the fence, singing/dancing/reciting a shakepeare monologue and theres the moon behind him... and while he's in the middle of his "act" the neighbors start to throw their shoes and bunches of lettuces. Why do they throw their lettuce? Thats perfectly good lettuce. Anyways, but when demoncat starts screeching, I think to myself, "maybe this is demoncat's form of selfexpession." My neighborhood is like a jungle though. Noisy animals. The dogs bark, demoncats screech, and somedays, there are owls outside my window and it sounds like they are having crazy owl sex. Ewww.

Oh lordy... last night... work... argh.

I'll get into that later...

Yesterday was pretty great because it was Queen of the Valley Nurses and their Daughters conquer the Ahmanson theater day.... well not really. Mom, Carlene, and myself went with a bunch of mom's coworkers (some who also brought their daughters) to go watch MAMMA MIA at the Music Center. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!! :) Ever since I watched "Muriel's Wedding" and discovered my mom's ABBA cd back in my freshman year in high school, I have LOVED ABBA. Carlene would always make fun of me or tell me not to blast that damn ABBA music from my room... or even when ATeens came out with their ABBA songs, she would roll her eyes when their songs would play on winamp. So you can imagine how much I loved this musical since all their songs are ABBA songs. :) oOoOoOoooOOO Yeah, it was totally adorable and fun because everyone already knew the lyrics to the songs so when you'd hear the first few lines of the song, everyone would gasp or smile in recognition and just be amazed on how they interpreted it just for the musical. "Take a Chance on Me" turned into a comedy... and "Lay All Your Love On Me" was this love duet... and like how they used "S.O.S." and "One of Us" was just really really cool... and "Gimmie Gimme Gimme," "Winner Takes All," and of course "Mamma Mia" heheheh.. yeah... they played all good songs (cept for they didn't play "Fernando" or "Waterloo"... but I can figure that the lyrics wouldn't go with it.. oh wells.) And one very big plus... half naked cute guys dancing. ;) In the end of the show, after all the bowing, the cast just danced and dressed up like ABBA (very unflattering and ugly outfits made out of spandex in bright colors with fringe. woah.) and everyone in the audience was dancing and singing along in their seats to MAMMA MIA, DANCING QUEEN, annnnd WATERLOO. It totally put a smile on everyone's face.

Afterwards, I was supposed to go to Mark's 21st bday and Sheena's debut, but decided not to due to the fact that I had to WORK!! :( It was a big wedding weekend and I was needed to help take down in Pasadena at midnight. While I was waiting at home for the time to go, I talk to Joe online and he convinces me to go to LA so that we can go to PINKS before I head to Pasadena. Suuuure.. I had 3 hours to kill. So I drive to Joe's and we go to PINK but the line looks like its WAY over 30 minutes long so instead we drive around and go to ASTRO's.

*driving*
Joe: Have you ever gone the wrong way on a one way street? I have. Twice.

So its almost 11:20 and I have to get to the hotel... Joe's curious as to see what I do and how everything looks so he comes along with me to the Hilton. Brandi told me that the wedding would be done at midnight... but the sign outside the ballroom says 1am. ARGH. So we chill and wait it out until everyone leaves and then start getting to work taking everything down. By then the left over guests are pretty much wasted, including the bride. Actually, the bridge forgot to throw her bouquet and do the whole garter thing, so while we're taking down, the remanining guests and bridal party throw the bouquet and the garter. :) It was kinda funny because they were calling for all the leftover single people to go over to the dancefloor and there I am with unraveling twinkle lights from a pillar thinking "hmmmmm... I'm single!! Let me at it!" but I didn't go for fear of catching it, being in the wedding pictures and people asking "who's this chick?" to the bride and she'll have to respond "Oh.. I dunno. One of the wedding decorators?" That would be a weird pricess moment... Anyways a lot of hauling colums and moving things and just being strong chick overall... we finish around 2am. Take Joe back home, and I get home myself around 3am-ish. TIIIRED. Yeah... remind me next time to avoid doing "take downs" at all cost. Bleh.

Long day... classes early this morning, and then drove on over to Irvine to decorate a wedding at 11am. This one I had my doubts about when I first got there because it at this park behind the Wild Rivers amusement park. Supposedly this park used to be a zoo of some sort and the reception area used to be where the restaurant was. SO I guess it had this whole "nature/jungle vibe" to it. While I was decorating the railing on this bridge that was over some sort of moat around the building, I noticed a raccoon watching me. It had really bright and big TEETH. Uh huh... freaky. So I ran inside and hid out there because Brandi was telling me about how racoons had evil dispositions and were one of those rodents that you didn't want t mess with.

Brandi: If that racoon come back just call for me. I'll just flail my arms about... I don't know if that will do anything, but I'll come to your rescue. Just think... he's not going to attack me... he's just smiling.

But the racoon came again... this time jumped on the bridge, walked over it, and crawled in between the fence to go inside Wild Rivers. Maybe he just wanted to ride some waterslides??

Anyways, the reception area came out really really pretty with all the chiffon falling from the ceiling and tons of twinlke lights. OHHHH and my whole bridge area was just too cute because the bride really likes butterflies, and so I got to put all sorts of butterflies on my railing of ivy and twinklelights. Too cute. *take notes* On the bleh side, I was there til 5pm. I got home around 6:45pm... and then left the house around 7:10pm to meet up with Kristen for KARAOKE NIGHT! But oh wells.. it was all worth it.

Karaoke night was so much fun! :) Over very first social! :) So it was OCC and CSUF singing at Elvis!? (yeah the place was called Elvis!? with the exclamation point and the question mark. A lot of smart comments made about this) Kristen (GO MISS KEYES!), Mikie, and I pretty much went crazy with the microphone and the book-o-music. I got to sing Astrid Gilberto's version of "The Girl from Impanema" and Mikie and Kristen were going Frank Sinatra happy. :) It looks like this might become a monthy thing because there were soo many songs and not enough time or vocal strength. ;) YAAY!! Keeping in tradition, afterwards, Kristen, Stephanie, Ryan, Mikie, Janelle, her cousin Irene and myself went out to eat at Alcatraz over at the Block. It was just a really good time because we were all getting to know each other (you're filipino!!?) and just fooling around... and watched Mikie add to collection of stolen glasses. Everyone was happy and everyone was getting along and yeah... :) *good times*

I went with Joe to FRY's (aka geek heaven) yesterday to go computer shopping for my mom. First thought, I thought I got stoodup by Joe because he said 1pm ... and I sat by my window till 3pm waiting for him. *okok... that was slighty overdramatic. It was more like napped and thought "well if he does come by he can ring the doorbell or throw some rocks at my window) So finally he calls and he actually just woke up and so we meet at the store around 4. Ok... so the moment we walk in, there are 2 Fry's employees stationed in front of the tv playing video games and a whole gang of them just chillin in the cafe. WOW. CAN I WORK AT FRYS!?!? It actually was really funny because Joe and I were like.. "woah... they aren't doing anything!" okok.. you may not think its THAT funny HA HA, but we thought it was gosh darn hilarious. Since my mom has a limited budget for this computer and yet wants every gadget and gizmo on this baby, we walked over to the corner of the computer section because the corner has the cheapest systems. Watched Joe do some fancy computer talk and then got some numbers to report back to my mom with. Looked at cell phones and listened to music with the really cool Fry's music system where the music just floats right over your head. ooOooOooo. Joe was singing out loud... a bit TOO loud and so I had to run and pretend to look at porn dvds to get away from him. ;P

Anyways... as of right now I have 3 offical registered teams for CKI SOUTH! YAAAAYY!! So, now in offical Crazy Kompetition mode. Its a good thing cause I get this sort of high when I get in my organizing events craze... but my room definitely suffers. Like right now, my floor is littered with envelopes, pictures, print outs of games, fliers, markers, tshirts... and everything is all CKI related. But I like it (not the messy room aspect, but the whole "plan things out" thing). My mind has been going numb with game ideas and park confirmations and emails but I'm loving every minute of it. (BTW... we have a really REALLY great first prize.. so if you haven't registered your team yet.. DO IT!) Speaking off CKI, had a board meeting today and I swear I'm a broken record because I just love my club so much. :) They're too freaking cute. We have ideas and plans and calenders filled with stuff to do! AND we have an FTC skit concept... wow huh. ;)

Today at work... I arranged an entire colonade all by my-freaking-self. It actually came out really pretty with white roses, purple hydrangeas, and tiny mauve roses... *awww* OH and Brandi is going though this whole "lets reorganize, rebox, and fix all the flowers" phrase... and instead of "LETS" its more like "hey Nicole... can you reorganize, rebox and fix all the flowers in the shop for me?" But yet again, I like doing crap like that. (funny thought, I can't get like that for my room just yet) Like when I see the werehouse and see all the clear boxes stacked with the correct flowers in them, all crispy and ready for decorating, it make me feel gosh darn good. :)

Ok.. back to CKI. ;) Tonight we're gonna have a karaoke night. :) SoooOooOoOo.. if you wanna have a good time with a bunch of foolios who are microphone crazy... CALL ME! ;) And if you don't want to sing or anything of the cheesy sort, but just wanna call me anyways... go ahead. ;) Oh.. but if you're crazy psychotic stalker.. then.. don't.

OH! i forgot to mention that while in my throws of excitment on Slash Mountain, my glasses broke. Yeah, for some odd reason, the stem thingie on the right side of my glasses, leaving them incredibly askew on my face. And I couldn't take them off because if I did, I would have been blind with a headache. So I was walking around Disneyland with my glasses all crooked on my face (not like a little tilt crooked, but like weird quasimodo crooked) for a good hour and a half or so. When we had dinner, the girl behind the cash register looked really freaked out and asked me what the hell happened to me. I said my glasses broke while I was on a ride and really, I didn't GO to the park like that in the first place. That was when we went to Downtown Disney, where I went into the sunglasses shop praying that they would have those little glasses repair kits or extra screws behind their counter... but alas, they didn't have either. So, convinced that I would be crooked the rest of the day, I met up with the girls over in Sephora and there was a soap that was wrapped in a wire that was on display. OOOOO.. yes! I did it!! I snipped off a piece of that wire with my nail and reattached the stem thingie to my glasses and I was no longer looking sideways. :) I'm a bad bad girl huh... ;)

Things have been really good lately, even if does only consist of work, school, and cki. :) The other night, we had a service project down in the basement of the Union where we bowled with kids from the Orangewood homes. It was so great... at first the kids were kinda shy and reserved, but once we got the bowling balls in their hands, they all went pretty buck wild. :) Well, the volunteers did too. :) I actually only bowled 2 gutters!! YAY FOR ME!! My team, (GO 5!!) I think was the rowdiest cause we were just so damn happy. YAY GUTTERS!! YAY ONE PIN! YAY I LOVE YOUR VICTORY DANCE! YAY THE BOWLING BALL CAME BACK TO ME! Those 2 hours pretty much breezed by us cause all of a suddened, we were finished. Said our goodbyes to the kids... :( But on the bright side, we'll be going to their place in 2 weeks to play with them. After the kids left, Kristen, Anthony, and I indulged ourselves with a little DDR. I sucked... apparently my feet can't connect with my brain and those damn arrows... but still a lot of fun. :) Have I mentioned that I love my club? I do.. ;)

Speaking of LOVE... Has anyone seen the Bachelor? OH MY GOODNESS.. Arron is adorable!! :) He has this smile that makes you wanna smile... *sigh* pick me!! pick me!!
