Sonny just walked through the door proclaiming "IM HOME!"
My house is no longer a "house"... its a "HOOSE!" :) YAY!

This morning had to be the worst. Carlene and I left around 1am to go to Long Beach to tear down the BIG FAT INDIAN WEDDING... got there at 2am, didn't finish until 5am... got home and into bed at 6am.
*3am craziness*
Nicole: Only hookers work this late...
Brandi: Call yourself whatever you want Nicole
*Silver Elephant give-aways*
Brandi: I thought it was chocolate. I bit into it and the bride said "Don't eat it... that's my god!"
9am, wake up and head on over to the UHAUL to pick up the... UHAUL. UHAULED ourselves slowly but surely to Long Beach once again but now to Carlene's apartment. Its amazing how we managed to carry 2 desks, a bed, 2 leather chairs, a bookshelf, a coffee table, numerous boxes and filed sturdy COACH bags with just the 2 of us. ROAR. Well, as you can imagine, when we got home, we were EXTREMELY tired after unloading the goods and battling wasps nests. Oh lordy... at least tomorrow we'll set up the other room and I get new adopted TALL bookshelf for my own use. YAY! Big piles of romances on my floor will now have a new home!
Anyways, a while back, I had promised Robert that I would go watch "FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY" with him... but he wasn't down when I got dragged to see it. And so now I'm paying dearly for it. SOORRRYYY ROLO!! I promise to watch "FROM CLAY TO RUBEN" with you...
Zasher816: i'm still butthurt over the from justin to kelly thing

Zasher816: YOU HAVE NO IDEA
Zasher816: i meant 1000 guests
Zasher816: i need
Zasher816: a shyttload of centerpieces
spaznik: bastard!!!
Zasher816: and you can never have too much sash
spaznik: who are you getting married to!?!
spaznik: BRITNEY SPEARS!?!
Zasher816: lol
Zasher816: no
Zasher816: JLO
Zasher816: duh
Zasher816: she already has the last name, don't need to change it
Zasher816: actually what happened
Zasher816: was that we divorced once
Zasher816: and she kept my last name
spaznik: hahahahahaha... i see...
Zasher816: and now we're getting remarried
spaznik: what was she before?
Zasher816: and we're sure this time
Zasher816: so
Zasher816: i dunno
Zasher816: some kind of mexican name
Zasher816: pick one
Zasher816: it's all the same
spaznik: Jennifer Hernandez?
spaznik: J HERN?
Zasher816: lol
spaznik: yeah.. its good that she keep the LO.
Zasher816: exactly
spaznik: it woudln't have worked.
Zasher816: yah
spaznik: jHE?
spaznik: ew.
Zasher816: she's still paying me royalties for that name
Zasher816: that's why i got stuck with rolo
Zasher816: the bitch
Zasher816: she got back
Zasher816: i just wanna marry her butt
spaznik: HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH
Zasher816: is thatt too much to ask?!

Its one of those busy weekends.... but definitely not in the "fun-party" sense. I'd say its more like that fun "I'm working a whole lot and so I'm making the best of it" kind of way. Doesn't that sound like "fun!?!"
It really isn't as bad as I make it seem. You probably should know by know my slight flair for the overdramatic.
Its just one of those BIG FAT INDIAN WEDDINGS. Not that I have anything against Indians, its just that they have HUGE weddings. I know Filipinos can have big fat filipino weddings too... but unless I see a filipino reach up to 700 guest, then they'll have to be content having their "big fat filipino wedding" in unbolded lower case letters.
Anyways, since it is a BIG FAT INDIAN WEDDING (over 500 guests), it feels like we've been preparing FOREVER just to get to today. I've been coming home from work smelling like hot holy hell because only fresh flowers get the luxury of staying in the air-conditioned office while higher lifeforms have to battle it out for quality fan time in the back of the shop. 25 buttonieres and 50 centerpieces had the pleaure of being created by me and I must say that I think I did a mighty fine job.
Today was just... a lot. The ballroom over at the LB Hyatt is on the THIRD floor... and there's only one service elevator so transporting all the props was quite frustrating. Then discovered that 500 chair covers and not enough gold sashes means that Nicole has to drive (in traffic) from LB to Corona and back (in traffic) for a box of new sashes, bag of some old sashes, and the steam cleaner to clean what old sashes we need. *Note: whenever using a steam cleaner, make sure the hose doesn't pinch or else pressure can build up and you can DIE! Or come close to it. Or maybe it will make a horrible loud hissing noise that will make all the Hyatt employees in the ballroom turn and look at you like you're crazy... as you start screaming because hot droplets of water had fallen onto your hand.
But all in all, everything came out GORGEOUS. (as usual) Had some fun moments rolling my eyes at the cake guy who made a 3 tiered cake (2 of which were stryrofoam covered in icing) and LEFT HIS CARDS RIGHT ON THE CAKE TABLE. (Ew. That's so tacky... really it is. I'll fight you on it.) Anyways, he had warned us that any sudden movements might cause the cake to topple... which made decorating it with freshflowers really slow and ridiciously overly cautious for STYROFOAM. Also got to work with "quite-the-looker" Brian, who I learned is quite... um... uninteresting as well as unintelligent (in the common sense sort) when he stpped on and messed up my "neat order" of damn sashes I was slaving and burning myself over. Argh. I was about to steam clean him...
Anways, right now I'm supposed to be sleeping because I need to go back at 2am to tear down and Carlene wants me to be bright eyed and bushy-tailed tomorrow morning when we do the final (big stuff) move (bye bye Long Beach!).
See... I told you "fun!" :)

Its INDIANA POOH! Isn't he the cutest thing....
Is Nicole completely bored?
Do you even have to ask?
But really... isn't INDIANA POOH the cutest thing? You could even see a little bit of POOH CHEST with his open shirt... ;) Soooo cute!!
Anyways, all is quite and dark here in the house... which is quite abnormal at this hour. Its because I have family over and they are all sleeping. They had driven down from Vallejo early early this morning, went straight to Disneyland, and came over around 8 where they all pretty much conked out by 9. Its a Full House... and Stephanie and Michelle gotta shack up tonight. And since everyone is sleeping everywhere, I have mobilty limited to one area... my room. Gosh, I feel like I'm grounded or something... and I still have to be extra quiet because Carlene is trying to sleep. (Sorry if I'm typing too loud.)
OH by the way... I need a place to stay on Sunday night. I'm getting "sexiled."
Its hot... its quiet... and Conan is gonna be on soon and I can't see him. I'm sorta miserable. But at least now Carlene is awake and she's talking. :) She's really excited because Sonny is coming. I'm actually pretty excited myself because Sonny is a cool guy and we are going to have SONNY AND NICOLE'S DAY(s) OF FUN whenever Carlene is out. YAY! We went to Ikea earlier tonight to get some storage stuff for him... oooo storage stuff. You know, everytime you see things that pertain to "storage," you always vow that one day you're gonna organize it and buy all the cute oversized tupperware and do something about that.. lets say... closet. But then you do... and a week after, its back into the original horrible state it was in before. Where am I going with this? I don't know. But really, isn't Indiana Pooh the cutest thing? He even has a whip! ;)

Fireworks are pretty. Funny boys in khaki make me smile (and drool). And a day out with Jean makes me happy! YAY!
Oh my gosh... I'm going to Indy in less than a week! :)

*Note to self: When driving with the top down, make sure hair is gathered in a rubber band/scrunchie(ew)/scarf or else one will have giant knot in hair. It would also be nice to carry some type of heavy duty hairbrush in one's purse.
I feel like I should go on some type of roadtrip with my girfriends in that car... thats what they do in the chickflicks...
Its actually funny because while driving with the top down on the freeway... I'm FREAKED OUT when I get next to a big rig. I'm scared that it's gonna kick up a pebble or something and having that piece of debris lodge itself into my face. I'm also scared of birds flying overhead... I'm partially deaf due to the wind blowing into my ear and the high volume setting on my radio. But over all, it pretty nice. :) I like how when you drive cars other than yours... and you get to fidget with the seat. Today, I was playing with the buttons to see what they did... one button I was flicking like crazy to see what its purpose was... but nothing obvious was happening. That was until I noticed that the back of my thighs were tingling and my knees were up to my chest. Weird but fun stuff.
oh.. yay a quiz!

The sun NEEDS to come out and play because I wanna drive TOPLESS!!
Thats right... Nicole's rental car from her tragic birthday fender bender is a sweet convertible.
At first, the guy was gonna give me an Aztec. I'm sure its a nice car, it just has a slight resembalance to lets say... a hurst. Only taller. But then, he asked "You want to drive a convertible? This is ugly."
Like I'm going to say "NO." ;)
So for the next couple of days I'll be cruising around in this Chrysler Sebring... its "champagne" and theres airconditioning as well as a cd player in it. I was quite content with those features alone... Now... I'm just really REALLY excited to go driving. Serious. I have a dentist appointment in an hour and I can't wait. :)
Actually, no. I really don't like this new dentist... she has so many "assistants" that I feel like I'm being gang raped getting x-rays. :(
But I'll enjoy the drive there...

I finished the book a while back... and I just have to say.....
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"
Don't get me wrong, its GOOD. But at one part... I threw the book down and almost bursted into tears. :(
OK. Enough. No more talking about it. Just go read... :)
Anyways, my weekend consisted mostly of work... moving... work.... moving...
OH and reading when I can. :)
Wow... I really don't have a life.
But I did get to see "FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY" today... (*note* who ever dressed Kelly Clarkson in that movie needs to DIE... or just rethink their career path because OBVIOUSLY, the suck) It was pretty bad... but in a fun kind of way. Like U-Best KARAOKE videos... actually it was like a GIANT KARAOKE VIDEO, without the words on the bottom.
Um. Nevermind. "No life" it is.

YAY! I finally have my brand new copy of HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX in my hands!!
Break down of the night...
11:30pm: Wake up from nap... get ready and head over to my local Borders.
11:45pm: Get my ticket for my copy. My number #409.
12:00am: HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX goes on sale... They start with #1.
1:41am: They call out number #409
1:45am: I have my book!!! YAAAAY!!
Borders was INSANE. I have never seen it so packed with people... Kids were running around dressed up as wizards... and there were a good number of older "kids" like myself who were pretty content just to sit in a bookstore for 2 hours in their pajamas reading and waiting.
Well, the waits up. :) I'm gonna go read!

While at the gym today, Carlene and I decided to hit up the KICKBOXING class. I dunno whats sadder... the 2 old women kicking my ass in it or... wait. There's nothing sadder than that.
Anyways, had an interesting day today. Joe came over late last night because he needed a place to crash. I had to explain to him that in a couple of days, his "room" would no longer be "his"... but his selective hearing interepeted it as "Sonny will be sleeping in Joe's room." Riiight. Anyways, while at work (where I met an old man with a peg leg today), Brandi said I had a call and it was a Joseph. Since I don't normally have calls for myself at work... I was a bit weirded out. Joseph was Joe.. of course... and unfortunantly the stupid housing assocation here towed his car!! :( Poor Joe.. I guess he thought that we had hid his car in the garage while he was sleeping. Nope.. it was impounded. (Impounded sounds sooo... BAD huh) Anyways, so I come home and take Joe to the lot and I seriously think Joe is gonna barge in and scream "WHERE MY CAR!!!!" He didn't but he almost had a fit when he saw that they had billed a STORAGE FEE. "$20 for a storage fee? YOU TOOK MY CAR! Storage would be if I gave you money and to kept it for me... but since you TOOK MY CAR THIS IS RANDSOM!"
Fun stuff. :) Poor Joe... but he got his car back. YAY!
OH! I'm gonna gush about Friendster just one more time. Anyways, so like I've said before, I've ran into a lot of old friends on it... so like I ran into my old family friend April on it awhile back... and OH MY GOSH...we found out we have so much in common! Like seriously, I'd never thought I'd meet another person who had Conan, Dane Cook, Gilbert Blythe, Colin Firth/Mr. Darcy and girly fiction obsessions other than Carlene! Anyways, so tomorrow we're gonna have a *reunited and it feels so good* lunch... gosh! I LOVE FRIENDSTERS!!

Today was finally Angel's graduation from Bonita High school... which marks the last time I'll attend a high school graduation, well until Alicia graduates in 16 years. Anyways, keeping with Concepcion tradition of being uberly obnoxious and "loving" towards our cousins, Carlene and I decided to go ALL OUT. WE MADE T-SHIRTS FOR THE FAMILY!!
... the OFFICAL BUNSOY 2003 GRADUATION SHIRT
Apparently Bonita has a NO BALLOONS, NO SIGNS, NO NOISEMAKERS, NO FUN policy, and unfortunantly Jen's big soup pot got confiscated at the gate. Even our excuse of "This is her graduation gift... she's going to culinary school" wouldn't hack it. BUT... Carlene had a stash of pans and wooden spoons (*wooden spoons are better than metal spoons... trust me) in her bag and when Jen got stopped... Carlene ran through and we still had some "fun" with us...
... and we ROCKED IT HARDCORE! When Angel first came out onto the field, it was loud... and then when she went up to get her diploma... it was just crazy. And since a good majority of the folks complied with the NO NOISEMAKERS, NO FUN policy... our cheers and pot banging seemed especially louder than normal. Poor Angel almost slipped while on stage... but luckily she didn't. But imagine how MEMORABLE it would have been if she HAD.
... Carlene and Jen with amno...
Carlene, Angel, and myself....
Afterwards, Carlene, Gerry, and myself did some shopping over at Montclair and then reunited with the clan over at Buca's for dinner. Insane and yummy. That pretty much sums it up.
The family
(more pics can be found here.)
Anyways, this is the part where I normally gush about how much I love my family... and I do. But I am especially grateful for my female cousins... Angel, Jen, Carlene and I all share this bond... and basically we're all pretty damn strong women because of it. I'm really proud of Angel for doing her thing, and I KNOW she's gonna wreck some havoc out there... so keep an eye out for her. :)

"I thought genius live in lamps..."
Man. Spongebob is great TV.
It was a beautiful day today (Sunday)... a perfect day for a GRADUATION! Today was Carrie's day to strut the stage.. :) I didn't get to sleep much the night before because of the night before that... so by the time Carrie came to pick me up at 6am, I was MORE than ready. A quickstop for breakfast, and an even quicker drive back to LA where Carrie's family was getting ready for the day. YAY! I finally got to Carrie's family... and gosh, I LOVE THEM! :) They're so friendly, funny, and cool and so easy to talk to... just like Carrie. :) I think I'm Carrie's new Korean-Thai sister!! And wow... those Chens sure can powerwalk! I learned that as we walked from the apartment over to Pauley Pavillion for the ceremony. The ceremony was indoors... so yay! No heat strokes! 500 graduates... 3 hours... not too shabby.
Afterwards, we circled the campus a bit to take some pictures...
(more pics can be found here)
...and then it was off to San Gabriel for lunch with more of Carrie's relatives... and Mondo! :) Who knew that Mondo really has a chinese uncle... and 3 kids. WHO ARE YOU!?!
Anyways, there were a whole lot of graduations this weekend... unfortunantly, I couldn't go... but HUGE CONGRATS especially to Beth, Jean, and Petey for having their big days in the funky hat. ROCK ON YOUNG PROFESSIONALS... ROCK ON!

"Hey Nicole.. its your birthday... you got into a car accident on your birthday...."
Lisa: Nicole you NEED to stop driving...
Me: No... I'm good!
Lisa: HOW many times did you fail your drivers test again?
Me: 4....
Marissa: Nicole you NEED to stop driving...
Me: But that was my first accident ever since I got my license...
Holly: How old were you when you got your it?
Me: 17
Marissa: Yeah... I'm amazed you haven't gotten into an accident sooner.
Me: Shut up.
Marissa: Remember that one night when you were driving in Hollywood and you almost killed us?
Hardcore tough lovin from the gals that know me best. :) BUt honestly, I AM a good driver. As Beth would say, "I think your car had it coming. It chose not to air condition you. That's what it gets. You should just tell the car if it doesn't behave, you'll just bump it into things more often. that'll straighten it out." I'd say I have to agree... well except I wouldn't ram my car into the back of a truck because it wouldn't aircondition me. I'd only do it if I wasn't paying attention and looking for chapstick in my purse. :)
~*~
Sometimes I feel I've got to *bump bump* run away...
I've got to *bump bump*get away...
So last night, I THOUGHT I was just gonna go out to dinner with Marissa, Holly, and Tina. HAHA. So I guess you can say that coming home at a very ungodly hour of "night" was pretty unexpected... especially when you have to work in 3 hours. Oh wells. :)
The "Bar and Grill" we went to was mostly "BAR and DANCEFLOOR." Good gracious... it was 80's night and so they had an 80's coverband... and I SWEAR, I have never seen so much "side step clap" dancing in my life. The thing with 80's music is that you really can't dance to it... now. If you're Molly Ringwald and "Jake Ryan" in SIXTEEN CANDLES, then yeah, you can dance. Granted that a good majority of the people couldn't DANCE already when we were checking out the floor from the tv screens... But if you're used to the ghetto clubs where they play booty shaking music... then yeah, you might have problem dancing. BUt then again, the band... sucked. They were wearing wigs and tight pants (I think lead singer had a sock...) but were yelling into the microphone a bit too much. Everytime they would try to harmonize, Marissa and I would give this eye bulging look to each other and then cover our ears in attempt to lessen the damage... OK. They weren't TOO bad... but then again, anything after a Long Island is better. ;) The DJ during the band's breaks was actually pretty good and did manage to play some old school "WHEN I HEAR MUSIC IT MAKES ME DANCE" jams. YAAY!!
So, the funny part about the place is that while Marissa, Tina and I were all lamenting about being *gasp* 23... we're at this bar filled with more of the "older crowd" or what I call as "YOUNG PROFESSIONALS." So in a way, we were feeling old... and yet younger at the same time. OH and instead of hearing the "what school do you to" bit, I got "so... are you here with your co-workers?"
Wow huh. I AM getting older. Kinda neat... I guess. ;)
Afterwards, Marissa wanted to go hooka... so we went off to this really neat cafe in Westwood. The atmosphere there was just AMAZINGLY friendly, the MUSIC was GREAT... and even though there wasbarely any room to dance, hip shaking was happening.
"How do you dance to this?"
"Um.. Like you're in the Britney Spear's "I'm A Slave" video?"
Didn't smoke much though... I'm too *afters-chool special* ;) haha
Anyways, I had a grand time with the girlies... :) I realized the other day that we've known each other for 9 years. (Keri... 16 years! Gosh damn!) OH LORDY. :) Actually, because of this Friendster, I've been really feeling the "Lucy Lovin" and its made me really happy. SO YAY friendster!

So there's this little site called FRIENDSTER which is about the coolest thing since the invention of Napster (before it got screwed). You get to meet all sorts of people and be entertained with the fact that a lot of people know each other. :) But I think the best part is finding all my favorite St. Lucy girls as well as some old OLD friends up on it. I'm having these fabulous walks down memory lane with this thing. Yeah yeah, I know... there is that weird potential "hook up" on it... (Beth has informed me that the sole purpose of Frienster is for your friends to meet *in the wink wink sort* your other friends and let internet love take its course... I didn't know that!!) and I have been getting some very weird messages from guys who wanna dress up as Indiana Jones for me... but its quite alright. I'm just happily content to have found some old friends. *Reunited and it feels so goood.....*
~*~
Speaking of nifty sites... my oh so talented and beautiful sister has created her very own website. :) WWW.PRETTYUGLIES.COM There you can find...
... the Pretty Ugly of the month
... How Pretty Ugly are you?
... and the WORLD FAMOUS JOE MONTAGE!!!
Check it out. :) Its awesome.

The other day as I watching the Disney Channel, they were featuring this one pre-teen heartthrob singer. His name: Stevie (I bet he'll change it to STEVEN in 10 years) Brock. What does he sing? Well, his big single at the moment is a re-make of COLOR ME BADD's "ALL FOR LOVE." OH MY GOODNESS!! Excuse me but, WHY ARE YOU MESSING WITH PERFECTION?! So while I was actually singing and dancing to this song at 11 years old.. this kid was an EMBRYO. Oh my goodness. I hate that kid. If he starts messing with "I WANNA SEX YOU UP"... its over!!
Eww. I'm old.

So I'll drive... and out of the corner of my eye, I'll see my left headlight pop out of its socket and just hang there while still attached to its wire. I'll then pull over, climb out of my car and pop it back inside.... go back onto the road. Headlight pops out again.... and again... and again. My car looks like it has a googily eye.
Its a vicious cycle.

Babae112: its officially not ur bday no more
Babae112: so u can be happy again!
THANK GOD!!
So. Break down of my birthday now that I've had time to "settle."
Went to mass.
Went to lunch.
Was gonna go to Disneyland, but while on the corner of State College and Ball... I rear ended a pick up truck. Drivers Ok. Cars are dented and scratched.... my left headlight fell out but I was able to stick it back in the whole... Nicole's metal state of mind... NOT OK.
SO basically, I freaked out. A lot.
Luckily the man I hit was really friendly... No Jean, he wasn't young or cute... but he was really nice. In fact, while in my crazy, stressed, and crying state, HE was calming me down. He was really understanding and wasn't angry at all. He just kept on saying "Its ok... its ok... stuff like this happens." Good gracious... It seriously could have been worse.
Me (crying): I'm on my way to Disneyland to meet up with some friends...
Man I hit: Oh really? I'm on my way to work... at Disneyland...
Me (crying EVEN HARDER): OH NO! You're LATE!!
So... yah. I don't take situations like this very well. Actually, I don't do CAR SITUATIONS verywell at all (there was a similar break down after I locked my keys in my car at FTC how many years ago... and lets not forget the bad mourning period I had after I ran over the skunk... *sigh*) But I'm better now. Just focus on the good. Everyone is ok. I'm ok. He's ok. I just feel really bad... I mean if my back and neck is "aching just a bit"... then I imagine that the poor guy that I hit must be feeling the same or even worse. :(
The rest of the day was blah afterwards. Carrie came and stayed with me at the gas station until I was "better." (THANKS CARRE!!!) I drove home. Had to explain what happened to my mom... which prompted more crying. Talked to the father on the phone... more stress... more crying. Eyes hurting, so napped. Woke up, Carlene came home with some Thai food... a bit teary, ate dinner, went to Target (teared up when I saw poor buggy on the drive way looking "abused"), got ice cream... home. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ME!
Well at least this is one birthday I'll definitely remember. yay?
I also got some calls and IMs that made me feel a whole lot better. :) THANKS GUYS FOR CARING!! *muah*

*sigh*
I am SOOO not the happiest camper right now. Its amazing how one minute, you can be so incredibly happy... and then the next... you're suddenly in of the middle of the street holding your license plate in your hands.
I'm ok. He's ok. Actually, I think he's more OK than I am. But its all my fault.
I just wanna go to bed and cry...

YAY! Just to think... 23 years ago, my mommy gave birth to ME! THANKS MOM FOR PUSHING! :) I LOVE YOU!
When the clock struck midnight... I was at a hotel over by LAX tearing down a wedding. :) This one, I was to do all by myself... but luckily Carlene came with me so that I wouldn't be alone. :) And even more lucky for her because apparently there was a confusion with the flowers and rather than take them home or give them to their guests, I guess they thought everything was a rental... so then when I got there, ALL the fresh flowers were on a table just chillin. All the centerpieces, the clamps, the throwing bouquet AND the brides bouquet. THE BRIDES BOUQUET. And since the party had finished rather early, and everyone had gone... The waitors over at the Embassy Suites staked their claim on the centerpieces while Carlene declared the bouquets and clamps as hers.
"I feel like the Lady Of Shalot."
-Carlene
As you can imagine, the ride home was very interesting considering that she didn't let go of the bride's bouquet at all. And of course, when one is in the presence of girly greatness, the topic of "When I get married" is pretty inevitable... and damn hilarious.
Anyways, I got home and got my away messages... :) Awwww.... Thanks guys! They made me really happy. :)
Lisa's in particular made me laugh...
QueenBR0SE: HAPPY BIRFDAY!!!!!
QueenBR0SE: hey shortie...it's your birfday...
QueenBR0SE: we're gonna party like it's your birfday
QueenBR0SE: we're gonna sip bicardi like it's your birfday
QueenBR0SE: and we don't give a f*ck cuz it's your BIRFDAY!!!
... and then there's Jean's away message...
Auto response from jeanyah: happy birthday nicole. she's hot and sexy.. which guy wants to be her birthday gift?
AWww... I feel all warm and tingly all over. ;) Its my birthday! :) YAY!

Nes/JR/quasi-cousin is my friend. Rock ON!
The clock is staring at me. Its whispering 23.... 23.... 23.... Wow. In a couple of hours... I'm going to be older. *OH duh* Well offically "OLDER". I wouldn't have remembered until someone reminded me of it last week. HAHA. Maybe my brain is in denial. I'm not saying that I'm going to start lying about my age now... but I think I know how older women feel.
Ack. Did I just compare my self to "older women!?!" Eww... gross.
:) Actually, I'm ok with it. I've been pretty flighty lately anyways... I guess now I can blame it on my "not so" youth. :)

Im so mad right now... i can't breathe.
Actually, I lie. I'm more hurt than mad.
Hurt by stupid words, that probably weren't meant to harm... but when said, something triggered in my brain that just pulled open a scab that just doesn't seem to heal.
Dammit.

Argh. I forgot what I was going to write about.
OH yeah...
Ok. Since the AC in my car is busted, my Uncle Nanding offered to look at it so that I wouldn't suffer this summer. So, today, I went over there and he looked at it... and then took to it to his friend who owned a shop to see if HE can fix it... but due to lack of time, they weren't able to fix it. But they managed to narrow the problem down to either 1) the fan or 2) the knob that turns it on. I'm betting its the knob. Actually, I'm praying that its the knob because "knob" sounds much cheaper in fixing than "fan" don't you think?
Anyways, so while my uncle was tinkering with my car, I guess he accidently pulled a wire in my car that had to do with my radio... and well.. to make a long story short... Now my radio doesn't work. So let's recap: no AC... no radio... and since its extremely quiet in my car, I've learned that my breaks make this horrible EEEEEEEEEEEEEE noise whenever I stop or slow down (which is ok I guess since I got new break pads a while back... but damn they're loud).
Overall its too quiet. So what do I do? I do what any "normal" person would do....
I'm talking and singing to myself....
With the windows down.
Say it with me.
PSYCHO.
Actually, it isn't psycho. At least I don't think so. I just feel that way. I'm sure there are a lot of folks out there singing "ALL BY MYSELF" in their cars without their radios. Right? Its a good song...

So, a few weeks ago, I went to get my hair trimmed at the mall. What I like about having it done at the mall is that I can just walk in without having an appointment and they'll be able to do a good job. So, my hairstylist for the trim was a girl named Carrie. We chit-chatted about life, school, and of course hair. So here we are, talking, when Carrie says "have you thought about highlights?"
"Yes... I've been wanting to get them for the summer!"
"Ooooh. Do you want me to put them in now because my schedule is clear for the rest of the day..."
Knowing that I didn't have enough money for the treatment right then and there, I said that I'd go back and have them done with her.
Flashfoward to Monday. I shall dub it as "Sister/Sister" day. Carlene had been wanting to get her roots fixed and since I wanted to get my highlights, she said that she would try to make an appointment over at the Underground in LB for this girl who would do a good job at a reasonable price. Unfortuntantly, the place was closed... and since this was our only free time... we decide to meet at the mall. By the time I get there, she's in the chair and I'm waiting for the next available stylist... today its Carmen. I'm feeling pretty comfortable with her, especially since her own hair is looking pretty nice. (*note: yeah you should get your hair done by folks who have nice hair themselves. thats just common sense.) I sit at her station, and we're talking about what I'm getting... when in the corner of my eye.. I see Carrie. Thankfully, I'm not wearing my glasses, but I can feel her eyes on me. I'm sure she has plenty of customers that come in and I'm just another face in the crowd. But then, I start getting nervous. As she walks back and forth in the salon, I start thinking "Does she recognize me? Oh my gosh, does she remember that I said that I would come back to her? AM I CHEATING ON HER!?! WHY AM I FEELING GUILTY!?!"
Because I'm crazy. Thats why.
I spent most of the treatment with my head in a magazine, praying that she wouldn't come up to me and knock my foiled head to the side while screaming "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!! WHY WASN'T IT ME!! WHATS WRONG WITH ME!? DAMN YOU GLASSES GIRL!! YOU HAVE DRY HAIR!" I think this because if I were a stylist and this were to happen to me, I'd want to do the same thing.
Anyways, got my highlights... I'm happy. I just won't be visiting that mall to get my hair done anytime soon... either that. Or I just need to get over myself. ;) Yeah. That would be easier.

I'm happy. :) I was happy and giggly all day... more than usual.
"You're only this happy when theres a guy involved... or Harry Potter."
~Carrie
Although the newest Harry Potter book comes out in 18 days, thats not it... and there's no guy... No particular reason why... Maybe its the heat getting to me... or driving with the windows down on the freeway.... but it isn't all too bad. :)
Anyways, I had lunch at mega asain buffet with the Concepcion clan today to celebrate JR's 21st birthday, which technically is on Wednesday. Yes.. soon he'll be doing the same things but legally. Congrats. ;)
I do love the famiy get togethers... I was kinda dreading today's though because of some recent drama, but thanks to my dear cousins Angel and Jen, I really didn't have to worry about that. :) *muah* I love them.
Me: Uncle!! My airconditioning doesn't work!!
Uncle Nanding: You should get a piece of cardboard... and then fan yourself.
Me: But Uncle... how am I going to fan myself, talk on the cellphone, AND drive at the same time!!
on her "evil tendencies"
Angel: I'd totally hate to be someone I hate.
Oh my goodness.
Anyways, looks like the next big family get together is going to be Angel's graduation. I had to pinky swear to her to make sure that dad doesn't should up with giant metal bedpan spray-painted pink because apparently THATS embarassing. But she's ok with the entire clan wearing t-shirts with her face on them, all banging pots with wooden spoons, with giant signs that may say ANGEL SUCKS CRABS. Yeah, I guess that would be a bit over the edge.

Wow... Today (er yesterday) was Tina's birthday and graduation, AND then the Ducks win the Stanley Cup too. She must be in HEAVEN at the moment. ;) CONGRATS CHICA!!
Keri, Marissa, Mae, Jp... I just missed you guys!! :( Sorry I took forever to get to Tina's... I had to get that damn whipped cream out of my hair.
Thanks Mr. Billings for putting it there. ;) I also now can say that I know what it feels like to have whipped cream on one's chest. It wasn't exactly thrilling. Anyways, I know that the pieing could have been MUCH WORSE... so big thanks to Ryan for being nice. :) I did stink like holy hell when I stopped by Fashion Island on my way home though... and theres a faint scent of spoiled cream around me now as I type. Or maybe its just me. Eww.
Anyways, today was the end of the year LUAU at Corona Del Mar... Yay Kristin and Anthony for a great job on your our banquet. ;) We had a terriffic turn out... it wasn't too hot... and although there was a lot of whipped cream and water flying about, it turned out pretty damn great.
Oh. Except one thing....
He answers to the name "Elvis?!"
Last seen around 5pm at Corona Del Mar, near the bonfire pits...
He was wearing a blue bandana around his forhead as well as
blue jeans with the whites of his undies showing at the waist.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of ELVIS!? DO TELL! Please give him back if you have him. His stitching is falling apart in the back and he's weak. :( He's a good elephant despite his "thug gansta" appearance.
We just want him back.
