Yesterday, Carlene finally crossed over for her sorority. =D YAY!! It was a really really nice ceremony and she was glowing cause they called her by her FULL NAME like the other actives. They had a slide show and did a waltz with their escorts what was cute... =D Pretty good for one weeks practice. The dinner was in this old steel mill factory or something.. and when they got their pins... they opened the ceiling!! =) Really pretty.. just REALLY COLD! brrrrrr!!
Although everything was really pretty and I was happy for my sister.. I was in sooo much pain cause of my freaking ears!!! The plugging sensation was soooooo bad and I felt really icky throughout the night. So right after the presents, my mom took me to the ER.
Soooo.. there was a bunch of people over there ( I SWEAR.. ALL WITH BABIES!!) and I had like this 2 hour wait until I was able to see a doctor. OK... the Emergency room is NOTHING like the television show ER. Its boring you don't get treated right away... theres a lot of just sitting around waiting.... paperwork... calling out names... waiting again... not at all exciting. ANOTHER THING.. I didn't get a real doctor.. I got a PHYSICIANS ASSISTANT! whats that about?? Anyhoo.. he looked into my ear and simply said.. INFECTION. UGH!! So yeah... I have a crappy ear infection. At least its good to know that I'm not going deaf or anything and I won't have to learn sign language. =) Just take the drugs and I should be fine. =)
Today... I WAS supposed to get some bed rest... but nope... I had to go over to the house in San Dimas and help move. I was kinda depressing. Carlene and I were going through our stuff and kept on reminicing... looking at our UGLY PICURES and laughing our asses off... looking at old notes... just old memories that were around the house. My mom used to keep our porcelin dolls (which we were never allowed to play with) up on a shelf in the closet and we laughed that it was only now we can play with them cause we are old and moving out. We found alot of old stuff... and we realized that with all the good memories, those all have built a foundation to a happy and content life. Old letters.... old books... pretty much everything... it made us see how they shaped us to what we are today. Am I making any sense?? Probably not... so basically... while the day was kinda sad cause life was really moving on and we were saying goodbye to our youth but we are going to be using those experiences to capture our future... =) cheesy.. but true.
1) I'm grateful for everyone who has helped us pack, shove, pull, carry, and PIVOT all the furniture. =)
2) I'm grateful for the medicine.. cause I think its helping out my ears and this crappy bronchitis.
3) I'm grateful that I was able to live in that house for 19 years.... there were ups... there were downs... but thats the nature of life. You only pray for the best and look beyond the rock for the shine of the diamond.
