Yay! Finally went to see REVENGE OF THE SITH last night! Yepp... I got all dolled up because anyone who's anyone knows that STAR WARS secretly means geeky male meat market... but I was too late. Prime pickings was LAST Thursday around midnight. And the STAR WARS I saw that night had J-Lo in it.
No wonder it didn't make any sense.
Anyways, didn't you think that when Obi-Wan was giving Luke to Beru, Beru was on the verge of saying "Oh cool! A baby!! Gee thanks Mister!"

Upchuck. Update. Upsomething.
Darnit... look at the time. And I was getting good at making regular posts...
Anyways lets play some ketchup shall we?
Ok. Well first of all, lets go back to LAST Monday. That day I went to Disneyland with Mondo and kicked his butt at the Buzzlight year ride... TWICE. Yes. TWICE. Not once, but TWICE. The first time, he blamed it on the fact that he didn't know what he was shooting at... but the second time.. well yeah. I still kicked it. My only letdown was that they didn't keep the ASS KICKING SCORE on the picture that they took of us on the ride. See...
where are those darn targets?!
But if they did show the score, it would look a lot like this...
I think that looks right...
Seriously.
I know. Brat brat brat.

The week took a very serious turn on Wednesday when we got a call from my Aunt in Seattle who told us that my Crazy Uncle Sonny (The crazy one from Seattle) was being rushed to the hospital. So the next day, Mom booked a flight and was off... it was only till that afternoon that we found out that he was "getting better" although they weren't too sure what was wrong with him. On the bright side, I did get to speak to him on the phone and at least he was up to his same ole crazy antics:
Nicole: Hi! How are you feeling!?!
Crazy Uncle Sonny: Are you callling to find out if you're getting anything in the will?
Nicole: Whatever. I know you're in there for an EXTREME MAKEOVER. Do I need to call you Auntie when you're out of the hospital?
Crazy Uncle Sonny: Yep. I'll be mailing you your inheritance shortly.
Apparently when he was coming to and the doctor was telling him that he had some sort of blood poisoning, he was alert enough to say...
"My wife did it."
To which she replied "I didn't do it enough."
Ahh family. How I love them so.
Anyways, with Uncle Sonny in the clearing, Mom arrived yesterday with a loot of food from Seattle, including some goodies she found in Uncle Sonny's pantry AND the delicious jackpot of Seafood Chowder and Clam Chowder from Pike Market. Talk about heaven... well until I accidently bit into a clam shell... but talk about going down in glory. It was to die for. :)

Saturday night, I made the mistake of having ONE LEAN CUSINE the entire day and going on to enjoy the night with Joey and Stephanie down in Hollywood. Although, at the moment, it wasn't all too bad. The "horrid" part all came afterwards and right into the next morning where I seriously attempted to get ready for work... but didn't quite make it out the door. You know its bad when you're watching cartoons and thinking "why do they have to keep running around... er... ugh... I think I'm gonna throw up." And then it happens. On the bright side though, I made $10 just making some mango bars for Carlene. I'm just waiting for the check.... (insert Carlene here saying that she never meant to pay me and she was only kidding and well.. HA to you sucka!)
~*~
Today was my day off and I spent a good majority of at down in the boonieville of HEMET with Mom where they have 1 of only 2 SUPER WALMARTS in California. Where you walk in and you see a beauty salon on your left and a full grocery just across the way. Insane I tell you... absolutely insane in a good way of course. How can you complain when you can Sleepless In Seattle and Jerry Maguire on DVD for $15... together! :) Hemet doesn't seem too much of a bad town now.
Anything else I can think of? Hmmm...
By the way, have any of you seen those Venus Vibrance razors... you know the ones that VIBRATE!??! I dunno about those, but I knick myself on regular razors, how can ones that shake be any safer!? How would you manuver around your ankles and knees??
Just a thought...

Ask my why I'm smiling...
Well, its mostly because I had a fabulous weekend! I called in for the very first time on Friday and Saturday after much debate and well, those extra 2 days of rest and relaxation really did work its magic on me. At first I wasn't too sure of it, but figured that after 5 months of working and seeing others take their own personals, well, why not me? I don't plan on doing it anytime soon again because goodness knows I like to keep things available for those "just in case" moments... but still it was nice to splurge a bit. Not to mention, I was in the terriffic company of friends... one of which competely suprised me Saturday considering that I didn't think that they were in the country! But there was that voice on my voicemail well, after hearing it, I really didn't feel too guilty about calling in.
I'm a rebel.
Sorta. Kinda. Not really...
Anyways, I'm in a happy, smiley, "oh how I LOVE everyone" sort of mood right now.
Sunday it was back to work, but then a delicious (seriously, DELICIOUS!) dinner with my Dad and some quality time with my sister and Sonny, shopping and running to catch random trains.
ANNNNDD... I'm proud to say the Britney the puppy... is offically a woman. Now she can prance around in an embarassing daisy duke-y diaper thats made out of denim and trimmed with gingham. YAY!
Awwwww...
So how was your weekend!? Do tell do tell!!

Movies galore!
I got this "challenge" from my fabulous cousin Kristine. Along with having the same bloodline, we BOTH have pink rooms. Hers was pink way before mine though... she's the trendsetter. I'm just her wimpy follower.
1. total number of films i own on dvd/video
Too much. Really. I found an copy of Sister Act in a box full of videos... still in plastic wrap! But I can't complain because there's practically something for any mood.
2. the last film i bought...
"Wayne's World" Chelle, I think, stil has the VHS version of it since HIGH SCHOOL which I bought for $16.99 at the San Dimas Werehouse in 1993... so it was a TOTAL bargan to find the DVD at Walmart for $10 2 weeks ago. Oh how I love cheap DVDs.
3. the last film i watched
In the theater: Hitch On DvD: House of Flying Daggers
4. 5 films that i watch a lot or mean a lot to me
1. Singing In the Rain- I have to agree with Kristine... Gene Kelly is kind of a babe, althought he looks like he would be a bad kisser in the final scene. But the movie reminds me of when Carlene and I would stay up late during the summer, make waffles, run into the bedroom once my dad would come home from work... and returning back to the living room when he went to bed. Oh to be a young "rebel".
2. Anne Of Green Gables - Ok. So it never was in the theater. But my mom would borrow the movie from the San Dimas library on a weekly basis for us that eventually she copied it (oh the evil with 2 VCRS!) and we would watch it all the time. Oh how I love Jonathan Crobie and boys named Gilbert.
3. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - Harrison Ford in khaki. The asain kid (Data!), monkey brains, and vodoo priests ripping still beating hearts out. Nuff said. I love love LOVE this movie!
4. The Little Mermaid - If you don't sing along or cry at the end, you must be a cold cold bastard.
5. That Thing You Do! - The scene where they hear their song on the radio for the very first time ALWAYS gives me goosebumps. It always make me wonder what would have happen if I persued my OWN recording career...
*crickets chriping*
...or not.
I want to pass this meme on to:
Ryan- because he needs to update and goodness knows hes a huge movie buff.
Luc- a netflick fanatic, he knows his sh*t!

Meet Arrowhead...
Yo!
Arrowhead will be going to Africa. Specifically Kenya where he will be entertainng orphans at the Ushindi 2 Orphange.
Arrowhead will be departing on Monday with my new found friend Kristen, whom was one of my coworkers @ the hotel. Its funny because for the last 3 weeks, Kristen, Krisine, and myself have been packing it all in with dinners and outings since Kristen will be gone for a year. Before that, we were just co-workers... now I can truly say that I have brand new friends who are touching my life.
Kristine, Me, Joey, and Kristen on a night "off"!
Cheesy but its true. Really!
But all of it has me thinking and extremely grateful for ALL the friends and family I have in my life right now. I really do love you all.
*Aww*
Anyways, so like I said earlier, Kristen is going to Africa and I really proud of her. I am also in awe because of her commitment and faith. If you'd like any information on how to donate... go here.
Me: I was thinking that we can send different outfits for Arrowhead, but then that would suck for the kids. They'll be like "even the bear gets clothes!"
Kristen: yeah... thats like you and your dog clothes. A kid is going to look at it and go... "Is that for me? Oh wait... No. Its for the dog."
:P
Luckily I still have Kristine with me at work and we have "plans" for Kristen's care packages. :)
Still... I'm going to miss this girl!

My head is killing me. Advil work your magic please...
I'm trying to figure out of its hurting because
1) its been a long day
2) horrible timing
3) my eyes are bothering me
4) all of the freaking above.
... also my neck is bothering me again. Its stiff and with my head being all achy, it feels like its supporting a 20 pound bag of rice. That analogy sucks, but its the best I can come up with at the moment.
Boo.

When people say that something is the "coolest thing since sliced bread", don't you think they are totally disregarding all the great technological discoveries and inventions we've have for the past 100 years?
Or maybe it was just really REALLY hard before sliced bread.
I could be wrong.
Just a thought.

I'm in a downloading frenzy!!
I realized the other day that I have had the same CDs in my car for at least the last 2 months. Seriously. As much as I can't stand J-lo the person, I gosh darn LOVE "Get Right." The song makes me want to stand up, throw up my arms and DANCE. Just thinking about it right now makes me want to go buck wild!
Do the lawnmower! Clean your ears and throw the q-tip away!
:)
Anyways, so here I am, downloading and planing playlists for CDs. Any suggestions? (Kristine!) Luc had me get the entire Garden State soundtrack and well, I'm a little happy camper at the moment.
Also I'm a happy happy mood because I finally found Kohala's In a Little Hula Heaven on Limewire. I kid you not, I have been searching for this song FOR.EV.ER. Summer can now offically come now because this is the perfect soundtrack for just lounging in the sunshine with an ice cold drink in hand. Sunny... and yet you can feel the wind on your bare shoulders.... Mmmm. It sounds so delicious and romantic...
Yet, in reality Summer usually means HOT and SWEATY and STICKY. All in a non-romantic way. Just grossness with frizzy hair and broken airconditioning.
But I'm sure if you listen to the music it will make it much better. :)

Sweet!! I won a "Mondo" for my FTC-ness! And to think, the guy NAY'ed me oh so long ago. Yeah... I'm not bitter about it. Not bitter at all...
Did I mention that before he NAYed me, he stood up and basically said I sucked. THEN, he NAYed me. Nice and loud too.
:P
But that was a long time ago and now we're cool.
Still... he NAYed me. Hmmm...
Anyways, thanks Mondo!! That is too funny. :)

The bastard who never calls, Petey, is leaving for Europe on Monday. It doesn't hurt to ask for a little something right?
spaznik: get me some wine!!
doubleup144: I'll see about getting you the French guy with the striped shirt
doubleup144: you want some wine too?
spaznik: well... if the french guy isn't available...
spaznik: the wine will do.
doubleup144: hahahah
doubleup144: I'll give him your #
spaznik: OH! and you have to make sure he's wearing a beret...
doubleup144: true true
spaznik: or else he's not really French...
doubleup144: hahaha
spaznik: and he has to carry a grocery bag with a baguet coming out of the top.
spaznik: and he has to do the freaky french man grunt laugh...
... And to make it more exciting, I should see him in June. Petey, that is, not the french man... or possibly both if Petey does bring him over AND actually calls. But with my luck, he'd bring over GĂ©rard Depardieu. If thats the case, I'll take the wine too. ;)
Anyways, happy belated Mother's day to everyone who is a mom out there! I spent my Sunday working, but afterwards had a lovely dinner with Mom, Carlene, and Sonny and later walked it off at Disneyland where we "camped" out for the fireworks. The fireworks itself were AWESOME. Really really. I don't lie about fireworks. Remember that one time (for you dedicated stalkers) when I was at Indianapolis for ICON and was subjected to a minor league baseball game on the 4th of July where a mini tornado ripped by halfway through... they had fireworks at the end and well the Disneyland fireworks made those fireworks look like they set a box on fire and pushed fire etch-a-sketchs of boats across the field. Oh wait they did!!!
July 4, 2003... drawn to scale.
But yeah, definitely if you have the chance to go to Disneyland for the 50th, you have to see them. And you have to see them in front of the castle. Really! Pinky swear!
