I think Petey should get a medal or something for kicking it with two single girls OTR.. on Valentines... :) My friday night was really nice, just kicking it here at home. I had hoped on watching INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM... but since I am as blind as a potato, I accidently picked the wrong box and got LAST CRUSADE instead. ARGH!! Anyways, in addition to the mixed movie... I also convinced Carrie and Petey to get A CHIPMUNK ADVENTURE. YAAY! Talk about old school... it was on VHS! Where's the menu button!?! What? No special features?! OH my...
Mom: You didn't have a Valentines date? Even I got asked out!!
*ouch*
Anyways, Saturday morning, had breakfast (I stocked up since I knew that Petey was coming), and my mom and sister grilled him on his OUTRAGEOUS Valentines purchase for a certain girl. Poor guy, he probably didn't know what hit him... (What.. are you freaking out now going "I can't believe she wrote that?" Well.. I DID! ;P 2 WORDS!!!) And then it was off to the mall to go Carrie conventions dress shopping.. and attempt to play dress up Petey. Wow... I didn't know ties could cost so much. Interesting.
Came home and RUSHED to get ready. My mom had gotten tickets to the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater showing over in Costa Mesa from one of the doctors... it was SOOOOOOOOOOO great!! :) It was really cool because it wasn't classical ballet, it was very jazzy and just very... WOW. I can't describe it. :) And we had some terriffic seats.... Honestly, for a moment there, I was afraid that I would be bored to death because the first piece was pretty abstract. In my mind, I was following the dancers and thinking "ok.. so theres a struggle... and she is frustrated... and um... now they're all happy and they DANCE!" but after that, the other numbers were so fun and easy to follow. Amazingly, they had about 6 curtain calls and an encore at the end... and even more curtain calls after that! It was great!
Afterwards, went to a late dinner with Carlene and Carrie over at TGIFs... where Jill was celebrating her birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JILL!! *why are YOU so mean to me... drunkie!* Got to see a whole lot of folks whom I haven't seen in ages, which was really really nice. ;) While we were there, had a conversation with Carrie concerning me, my retardedness and fright regarding the opposite sex.
Carrie: I can already see the guy that you'll end up with, so you don't have to worry...
Nicole: But what if he doesn't like me?
Carrie: I'll deal with that.
Awwwwww... isn't she the sweetest and greatest friend?

"I don't have anyone to bump bump bump with!"
~random girl behind me at the grocery...
I spent a good portion of my day sitting in front ot the TSU trying to peddle off these chocolate kiss roses to people... Kristin and I came up with the GREATEST SLOGAN EVER for the event. "BUY A ROSE FOR YOUR HO..... NEY." :) How much does that rock!?!?! Anyways, this one frat was going around to random girls and serenading them with a song. It was sweet... Kristin and I wanted them to come over to us so that we can request "Bump and Grind" or "Feelin on Your Booty".. but they didn't. Next time?
OH... NOTE TO EVERYONE! When you get married... don't EVEN consider doing it on Valentines day because your flowers will be 10 times expensive. Really.. don't. We had one bride who didn't even take that into consideration and didn't budget enough... so she's making her own centerpieces. And they're kinda ugly. So... yeah. Stay clear of Feb 14 unless you're incredibly rich. Or you wanna make your own... whatever tickles your pickle.
*something to be grateful for*
I love my family and my friends... they're my busom buddies and kindred spirits, and just as long as I have them in my life.. I'd never be lonely on a holiday such as this.

My day started off pretty crappy. At school, some evil man cut me off in the parking lot and STOLE the parking space I had my BLINKER on for!! I even honked!! Oh my gosh, I was sooooooooo angry... I contemplated being equally evil and going to his car and keying it down... but dude, thats karma. He'll get it someday.... maybe his penis will shrink or fall off or something...
Then, since it was raining.. we couldn't sell the roses! argh....
Since my classes are in the afternoon, I go home... but when I do go back, I'm in traffic for 45 minutes and I nearly miss my first class. Double argh...
I survive my classes, which were actually entertaining.
Drove home, only to hit massive traffic again... Its weird... people will stop and look at a car accident in the rain... and once they pass it, they'll speed up like no other. It doesn't make sense.
So then, I get home... and I see these giant puddles on the street. So... take my belongings inside, and then I run outside and just JUMP. :) JUMP JUMP JUMP JUMP. It was like "Singing in the Rain." I swear, it was the greatest feeling ever... I was cold and soaked, my socks and shoes were mushy... but I was happy. I don't think I've jumped in a puddle since I was a kid... go and try it. :)

Its raining... its pouring... the old man is snoring. He bumped his head on the end of the bed and couldn't get up in the morning....
That really isn't a great song for kids to sing when you think about it. The old man might have a concussion... or even worse might be in a coma or something. And really, what does the rain have to do with all of that? Anyways...
My arms and thumbs are sore (not to mention a tad bit sticky) from making a whole bunch of those "kiss" roses. But while I was aching away with the floral tape, wires, and chocolate... I was crying like a baby while watching "An Affair To Remember" on tv. *sigh* I love that movie... just hearing the music can make my teary. You gotta love music and its ability to produce memories with just a couple of notes. Like everytime I hear "Up Where We Belong"... I remember watching that one Chipmunk episode when the Chipmunks and the Chipettes went to the White House to save these Eagles in the forest... or "Material Girl" I remember that other Chipmunk episode when Brittney went shopping while Janette watched the baby pig that was their science project.. or "My Boyfriend's Back" when the Chipmunks and the Chippettes were at a Sock Hop and everyone was fighting for a red hula hoop.... and whenever they finished singing in front of the audience... there was always this big happy "YAAAAY" in the end...
I really really loved the Chipmunks. They rocked... so hard. :)

I got this free subscription to YM magazine... and I recieved my first issues last week. I completely forgot that this magazine is targeted toward teenage girls... its pretty hilarious reading it.
For example...
"My boyfriend told me he loved me on Valentines Day. I said I felt the same way, and he picked me up in a giant bear hug. All of a suddent, I let out a huge fart. My boyfriend was so grossed out that he put me down and didn't say a word for a good 15 minutes."
Oh my goodness... I was a teen once, long ago... and I think I was probably retarded like that. Actually, I KNOW I was retarded. (Don't you dare say "you still are Nicole... because I'm not. :P I'm a sophisticated and charming young lady. Uh huh!! I am SO!) The other week, I was at the mall with my mom and we saw some obnoxious teens just being loud... and my mom pointed at them and said "That used to be you."
*gasp*
Not that I was being hugged and farting all the time, it was just that everything was BIG DEAL. Everything was major... You were loud and acted "cool" because thats how you got attention... I remember kicking it at Coffee Bazaar with Melissa and Harmony when we saw this one cute guy that we had a faint acquaintance with at the other side of the cafe... and we just kept on giggling and staring and being silly girls infactuated with hotness. Eventually, when my mom came to pick us up, we rolled down the windows and as we passed him outside, we hooted and hollered at him... Right after, we ducked down and hid in the car. Giggling excessively of course.
Yep. Retarded.
Anyways, they have quizzes in the magazine and this month its DOES HE LIKE YOU... lets see...
Its raining. You missed the bus home. Its a five mile walk to your house. You spot his car heading your way. What happens next?
a) He offers you a ride but makes you promise not to drip water on his leather seats
b) He stops to offer you a ride and give you his coat to keep warm. Oddly, he knows the way to your house even though you've never invited him there.
c) He speeds up and aims for the puddle you're walking past. And then he yells something that sounds like "sucks to be you."
C! He TOTALLY wants me... I know it!
