Lets have a moment of silence... for my monitor died on me offically yesterday. Its actually kinda funny because the other night, I had a dream that I was sitting in front of it and then all of a sudden, it just sparked and smoke came out of it. So I guess, the spirit of the monitor was coming to me in a dream and saying goodbye... kinda sweet huh... if you believe in that sort of thing.
Argh.
Luckily I found a nice new one @ a reasonable price with a 10% discount at dell.com... free shipping too! So during those 5-7 days, I'll be reverting to those olden day practices and journaling with good ole ink and paper. Gosh.. how savage. :P
Ew... I just wrote out my smiley... colon and a "p". NERD!!
Anyways, I had a nice time last night despite the HUGE let down... where shall I start...
First of all, went to dinner with Carlene and mom. The food was average but the conversation was out of this world. Seriously. Basically, it was a lot of talk about love and marriage... and lets just say that you NEVER imagine you parents having drama... like "my age" drama. Incredible...
After dinner, it was off to LA to pick up Carrie.. and then it was off to the Laugh Factory for some "good times" with my heart of hearts Dane Cook. *sigh* Anyways, I swear... we were SITTING ON THE STAGE!! If I wanted, I could have easily thrown myself on him.. but I didnt... :(
There were some pleasant suprises... the first comedian was Jon Lovitz, who was really cool to see and all because he's a "big" celebrity, but his jokes kinda sucked. The second guy was Bob *Danny Tanner* Saget... Carrie's newest crush. :) Oh my goodness.. he was F*CKING HILARIOUS!! You grow up with his goody goody persona on TV and its just quite a shock to hear him say the things he said. Too funny. Richard Jeni was up next.. who was great too, but he kept on cupping his left hear with his hand and that was just odd.
Anyways, so there we were.. waiting for DANE COOK.. and the host is introducing the FINAL ACT... and so I'm getting pretty... ready to charm him with my oh so adorable laugh... (or so I think) and dreaming of wedding invitations... but then... the host doesnt say his name. Its another comedian!!
WHAT!??
Well... a good majority of the audience was there to see him, so you could totally feel the energy leave the room... which sucked for the last guy. Folks were majorly disappointed that he wasn't Dane... so they just weren't into it anymore. Granted.. he was funny.. but it wasn't the same.
So, although I'm somewhat brokenhearted because I didn't get to see him, the night wasn't a complete bust because the show was still pretty great. Its like coming home from partying at a gay club. You had fun.. you were surrounded by tons of hot shirtless guys... and yet you you feel unfufilled.
OH!! Scott Baio is alive!! Carlene went into a massive giddy fit when we saw him in the club. He had this shirt unbuttoned and was wearing a gold medallion. Thought I'd shared that tid-bit of fascinating information. :)
BTW! Its 2/22!! soooooo...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARRIE!!!

Oh.. before I forget... I *heart* Kathy! Just because... :)
~*~
You gotta love the sweetness and silly kookie-ness of those old Fred Astire and Ginger Rogers movies...They just make you smile and tape quarters to the bottoms of your shoes and tap dance along with them. *tap-a tap-a tap-a* You know what I realized though, they never actually kiss in them. They'll hug and get real close to one another, but we never really see "lip action." And whats really interesting is that they'll have some bawdy and risque jokes that I think would be pretty scandalous back in the 1930's.. and yet, no kissing. Hmmm...
Funny thing too is that Fred always seems to fall in love with Ginger like *that.* He's already proposing marriage and dancing to get her attention. And Ginger, will be stubborn at first, but since Fred is so charming and had the right "moves"... she falls for him back. Its so ridiculously cute... too bad real life can't be like that... although it would be different to see folks tap dancing and singing at the spur of the moment just because they feel like it. Just imagine, finding the cutest shoes at the mall... ON SALE. That would be something to sing and dance to.. and then the sale people can come up behind you and form a chorus line....
Ok. I'll stop now before it gets too TOO imaginative.

Hmmm.. is it me or has blogger been acting really weird lately? I think it has...
Actually, everything seems to be acting weird... My monitor has been really off. Basically, I think its time that I start saving up for a new one. The screen has become too too bright on the top... dark on the bottom... and the edges are very much crooked. All of these factors are making my eyes go crossed-eyed and blurry if spent in front of it for an obscene amount of time. Like now, I can't tell the difference between "i" and "l"... acck!!
My day went ok today... it was just when I got home that I got really bleh. Anyways, while in my "bleh-ness" I listened to some A*teens and other various types of "happy" music and went on a cleaning/organizing rampage. And so now, I'm quite content, and my closet is tidy. Wicked. :)
Anyways, I found this sweet quote by L.M. Montgomery that I thought was really nice.. . :)
surely such love will hover around you all your life. Like an invisible benediction..."

Oh my gosh, big props to Manny to introducing me to such a wicked feature....
Do you have a webcam? Well, you can totally use it now when you AIM with THIS. Its basically the webcam feature on yahoo messenger... if you know what I'm talking about. If not, its a webcam feature that allows you to chat with it. :) OoOoOoOoo... thats right. You download and install it, and then you can invite people to look at your cam! No more looking like crap behind the computer! Its fun stuff!!
Except I really don't know about sending the link to someone.. its like going "hey.. check me out!!" and that might indicate to that person that I might be doing something wicked or bad behind the camera... but I'm not. you'll just be watching me type... So I don't know if its really ALL that exciting. Plus you might be disappointed that I'm not actually LOLing when I type it. :P If you wanna see, then just ask. :) I won't do your bidding though... well, maybe I might lick my lips for you... sicko. ;P
Just don't be creepy like Carrie...
ckicarrie: i'm baaaaaaaaaaaack!
ckicarrie: and i've been secretly stalking you for five minutes...
ckicarrie: muhahahaha.

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can't get enough
I'm hot, sticky sweet
From my head to my feet yeah
When I'm at work, my boss likes to listen to classic rock... and so I've had this fine Def Leppard tune in my head all day long. It makes me wanna thrash my hair about, wear a lot of silver, and maybe dance about a pole.

Joe Millionaire... don't even get me started...
Actually...
He doesn't seem like the brightest guy out there... he's not the crispiest dorito in the bag... one fry short of a happy meal... one taco short of a combination plate... the wheel is turning but the hamster is dead. And yet, women think he's the dreamiest... Ok. So I admit, I watched it tonight and you know how he confessed his "love" to the girl that he picked?? "I CHOOSE YOU." What!?! So do I swoon now?? Sure, he looks terriff half naked in tight underware... but maybe he should cut some of that elastic and get some blood circulating.
carrie: hahahaaha...that's like pokemon!
carrie: "pikachu...I CHOOSE YOU!"
lisa: he looks like the missing link
Sadly enough, even though he made his choice, he got the girl and now has the money... it STILL isn't over. Next week... its the REUNION! And like the sick freak that I am, I will be casually flipping through it just to see what happens...
