YAAAAAAAAAY! I'm done with school... er.. for now. :) I would have danced in the parking lot... but it was just too damn hot. Accck! And my AC in the car isn't working for some reason. I was dying in my car... happy but hot and miserable.
I got $14 back for my books. 2 of them I couldn't sell at all because new editions of them are coming out next year. :( Sucky huh. Oh well, at least its something...
Afterwards, I went shopping and found the CUTEST pair of shoes! Visualize this: black open toe with one thick strap in the front with a buckle in the middle, a 3 inch heel and a thick black strap that goes around the ankle... CUTE HUH!! ;)
*as I'm trying on shoes*
strange woman next to me: ooooh.. those are nice!
me: You think? I dunno.. you don't think they make my ankles look fat?
strange woman: Nooooo!! In fact they look skinnier!!
me: Oh my gosh! Thanks! You don't think they look to dominatrix-y?
newest best friend/formerly strange woman: Noooo!! They look really sexy!! GET THEM!
But unfortunantly, the ones I tried on was the store's only pair they had were a size too big!! I searched and I searched... but alas, I cound't find any in 9's. Bummer huh... and they were pretty comfy too! I found a pair online, but they were waaaaay more expensive then I had originally found them. I guess I'll just have to go look somemore. :) Plus I need to go shopping for the dozens of graduations and gemini birthdays that are coming up. And since its too hot to stay at home... its good to know that stores are airconditioned. ;)

BLEH. ITS HOT.
It feels like that one scene in THE CORE *snickers* when the old black man had to go down into some tunnel and it sooooooo hot inside that once he stepped inside, his eye bulged out in his space helmet and the soles of his space suit were sticking on the floor... ITS THAT HOT.
Looks like summer is here... wheeee!
I got my bottles of sunblock and eskinol ready. That's MY kung-fu.

Whooo! What a weekend!
Hmmm.. ok... where to start...
Saturday night was Joe's PCN. :) I had to rush over there because Joe probably called me several million times to remind me to get there early because he was in the first act. I was there and Joe was really good dancing *duh* and acting. He was playing a filipino father... and at one point, he got "angry" which is always fun to watch because he never gets angry in real life. (well..not ANGRY ANGRY)
Look! Joe's dancing... Its blurry, but really... he's dancing.
If you couldn't tell it was him... you just had to read his butt...
Its not a PCN without the half naked boys with spears...
Where's Joe??
This is what Pilipino Cultural Night is all about... spreading and teaching the Filipino Culture to um.. these guys...
Joseph Regala Groupie #1
Afterwards, although Petey was craving some major filipino food (talk about a nice plug for "Salo Salo" which kept being mentioned in the PCN for its adobo), we went over to The Hat instead since it was closer and still open.
"Buzzzz... is it dead?"
No. Listen
Sunday morning... I fly to Oakland to attend Melissa's Pil-grad ceremony. :) Oh my goodness, while on the plane... the man next to me decided he wanted to read a magazine... so what does he pull out? PLAYBOY OH MY GOODNESS!! Luckily, he wasn't sitting right next to me... I had the window seat, he had the aisle seat and there was no one in the middle... but still. It was pretty horrifying... I just cozied up to my window and tried very hard to fall asleep.
Finally I arrive and I get picked up my Kathy! :) YAAAAAAAYYY!! She drops me off at Mel's big yellow house... but Mel isn't there! :( So I sit on the stoop for a bit, chit chatting with the birds and Beth (on the phone) until I see Melissa walking to me all dressed up in her old school SL senior sweatshirt! YAAY! Later on, her parents came and pick us up and it was off to the graduation...
Originally, we were sitting far away... but Ralph asked and we ended up right up front... kinda sorta in the same row a bit. Mel's looking a bit freaked...
Pil-grad was really really nice... and not as long as I thought it would be. ;) Each of the graduates, when announced, got to say something... and so there were a whole lot of tears as you can imagine. There were a whole lot of laughs too... It was great because after 5 years of hearing Mel talk about her friends... I was finally about to put faces to the names I had heard. I also FINALLY got to meet Des and Ralph... :)
Mel's saying her speech.
She's about to cry... but YAY! She's done!
Self-portrait
Me and Melissa... I'm her ninang! And she's gonna be my kids' ninang...
Melissa and Ralphie-poo.
After the picture was taken.. Melissa was serenaded by a drunk homeless man in the parking garage. Interesting.
I'm sooooo proud of her. :) SO SO SO SO SO SO PROUD!!
After having dinner with the family, Mel, Ralph, and I hitched a ride with Paul and Valerie over to Gradbash in SF. We parked next to this (what I'm assuming was) gay club called CHAPS. No wait.. it was called STUDS. (I knew it had some kind of cowboy reference.)
Anyways, the club gradbash was at was hella small and since there was soooo many people... it got HOT. So hot, that at one point, my GLASSES FOGGED UP. (Eww huh.) Oh wells, danced and drank and got to see some guy take off his shirt. Not too shabby huh. :)
Monday... woke up and went to have lunch with Mel and her friend Jill. Then it was off to the campus to sell some books... and then we went to Mondo Gelato. :) I think the devil makes that ice cream because my scoop of kiwi tasted just like the real thing... seeds and scratchy throat and all. Amazingly good. :)
We then walked back to the yellow house and napped... and packed... and then it was off to dinner again with Auntie and Uncle over at Marketplace where Ralph joined us (YES!! I'M FILIPINO DORK!! I CAN UNDERSTAND YOU!) and then it was off to the airport... onto a plane (no more Playboy reading guys sitting next to me) and now I'm home. :) YAY!
Well.. except I have 2 finals on Wednesday. BOO! But then... I'll be done too afterwards. YAY!

Oh my gosh. I had the BEST. DESSERT. EVER.
WOW.
I just got back from dinner with Carrie and Irene over at The Melting Pot over in Irvine. Its a fondue restaurant where you go DIP crazy! DIP DIP DIP! Appetizer was dipping apples and bread in cheese... Entre was dipping all sorts of raw meats into boiling broth to cook it... and dessert... wow... was strawberries, bananas, pineapples, brownies, poundcake, marshmellows, and cheesecake... all these to be dipped into or drizzled with CHOCOLATE.
WOW.
Seriously, I'm completely speechless. It was beyond delicious...
WOW.
Can I say that I'm in love?
Ok. perhaps that's a bit dramatic... but it was really really good. The cheesecake with the chocolate just melted in my mouth. Moans of pleasure were emmited, I was about to cry. Each bite was heaven and it wasn't just me... there were smiles all around the table.
WOW.
Anyways, since the whole meal was a bit pricey... we decided that if we were to go there next time... it would be just for dessert. Straight up dessert. Anyone wanna come along and experience it? :) Kid you not... I cross-my-heart-hope-to-die-pinky swear that its good. :)

SWEET GLORIOUS ELECTRICTIY!!
Oh my goodness... what a day!
So, I had gotten home from school around 7ish and usually, when I get home, I'd press the garage door remote button in my car, and the door would open for me. But today, I clicked... and it didn't open.
*click click click*
*not open not open not open*
I figured that the battery inside the opener was dead. No fretting just yet. There's always the front door.
Unfortunantly, the dead bolt on the door prevented me from entering the house. I was OFFICALLY LOCKED OUT. :(
"Oh curses... What was I to do!!" Well, I wasn't going to be defeated just yet. I'm crafty and "cunning"... I'm sure I can figure something out. So I went around the house and proceeded to "break into the kitchen window." By "break in" I meant taking off the screen and pushing really hard on the window, praying that it would budge. But it didn't.
As I was "breaking in", my neighbor was watching me from over the fence and asked "so... you're having a black out too?"
Ahhhh.. so that was the reason why the garage wasn't opening. THE ELECTRICITY WAS OUT!
After camping out in my backyard about 15 minutes, my mom and Carlene finally arrived home from shopping. I told them that the electricity was out.. and after some investigation (chatting with other neighbors), turns out that the entire block is out, it had been down already for 2 hours, and an additional 2 hours was going to be the minimum to get it back up and running! Argh! Since we were all hungry, and I was in dire need of a bathroom break, we went out to dinner.
2 hours later... the street is completely black. No power yet. No power means we're still stuck outside. Now we're just getting ansy... especially mom since she didn't go to the restroom while at the restaurant. So there we are... sitting in the car. THE AMERICAN IDOL FINALE is on and I'm in the dark. Literally. (Actually, not for long. Carlene called Sonny who found out in his Canadian time that Ruben won.) My neighbor Tina comes by and tells us that one of the women down the street works for Edison, and apparently we won't be getting power till MIDNIGHT, the earliest. Since she feels bad that we may be spending the night in the car (I claimed backseat!), she sent her husband over to see if maybe he can help us get the garage open. We all figure that theres no way to get the garage open... but theres a possibility that my window is open since I've been keeping it open to air out my sickgerms. So he gets his ladder, climbs up to the window, and SUCCESSFULLY "breaks into" my bedroom.
*gasp* Please excuse my messy room!!
Anyways, so finally we're inside the house. YAAAAY!! Its dark and its hot... it actually felt way nicer to be outside, but hey, I'm not gonna complain.
"oooooOo... its dark."
Luckily, I remember that Uncle Sonny gave us several boxes of those Jesus Candles... actually they're NOT Jesus candles... they're some kind of wack mock spiritual candles that my Uncle thinks are funny.. They have titles such as "Abudant True Love," "Protection from Telemarketers," or "Our Lady of Trailer Park". Yeah. Weird. But they're lifesavers.
I'm writing by the candlelight. How primitive... or romantic.
I just need a half blind Mr. Rodchester to cry out my name while banging his head against a tree in the rain. :)
Actually, the white candle is an actual Jesus candle I keep in my room. Specifically, its the Guardian Angel candle. I think I got it from the OCC banquet last year. ;)
Anyways, spent the rest of the night talking on the cellie (see it could have been worse!) as well as doing some writing and reading via candlelight. Thankfully, the electricty finally came back on after midnight so I don't think I did too much damage on my eyes.
What a crazy day...
OH! If anyone out there TAPED the American Idol finale... do tell and share. ;) I'll give you a candle...

I spent a good majority of the weekend miserable in bed. The coughing... the sneezing... the stuffy nose... the plugged ears... the icky throat... it was HORRIBLE. My hair was even looking sickly. It's still pretty-horrible, but since I started huffing VICKS its' gotten better. The worst was when I had to work Saturday afternoon and evening... I was breaking out into cold sweats and about ready to knock out while tieing those damn chaircovers... but I survived and I got an extra centerpiece to bring home!
Flowers make everything better.
Well, not really. I'm still suffering... But they are pretty to look at.
Anyways, had the last cki meeting downstairs in the Pub today for their free karaoke hour. :) Talk about FUN FUN FUN!! I guess they have their "regulars"... There was this one dude, Larry, who was so completely at home with the stage and microphone that he was making chit-chat with the audience while singing (ill) RESPECT. Too bad our first time doing it at school was on it's last day... but at least we have next year.

I sorta redecorated... again! :) Actually, it was more like "While You Were Out." While I was downstairs being sick and all, Carlene was up here working her computer magic. When I got up here, I made some finishing touches and "ta da" this was the end result.
I swear, its like shoes and purses... you need a pretty new change every so often.
