FEELING BLEH.
okok... well not really BLEH. Cause then that would be pretty depressing and well... I'm not depressed. I guess I'm just bored. Long day today and my highlights were 1) Finally reading the "EMILY OF NEW MOON" series by L.M. Montgomery and 2) Washing my car. Funny thing though is that this has been my first weekend off for a while and at first... i swore to myself that I was going to be this happy little homebody bum... and really I was. Friday... I went out to see "Lilo and Stitch" with Carlene (its a REALLY cute movie...I was crying during a lot of mushy parts... Carlene was upset that all the girl animated characters had CANKLES.) and then stayed home the rest of the day (well except to go get some more DVDs and ice cream) and I was fine with that. Today though... it was just so long... and hot... and bleeh. And I was home alone too a majority of the day... so double bleh. So you ask.. "Nicole.. you dummy.. why didn't you call anyone up to chill and kick it!" Well... I dunno.. figured everyone was busy... and like I said... it has been my first free weekend so I guess I was just savoring the whole "I don't need to do anything" atmosphere. Ok. I'm a psycho. Havent we been though this before?
Anyways... Hmmmmmm.... anything new or remotely interesting for me to blog about?
*crickets chirp*
Nevermind. ;) Maybe next time.
But on the bright side... my long awaited dinner with Keri, Tina, Marissa, Jp and Joey... that kept on getting postponed or I kept on canceling out of due to last minute family stuff is FINALLY happening tomorrow night. :) *pinky swear!* I will be there. If not.. you have permission to beat me mercilessly with a cellie. Oh. Except for JP cause he has fists of FURY. ;P

I just got back from Blockbuster getting some videos with Carlene... and apparently I'm probably the only person who has paid a LATE FEE for GLITTER. How sad... ;P

Well, I was browsing around and found this nifty site www.reasonablyclever.com and here is my self *lego* portrait...
if you don't see it, you can go HERE
Who Da Manny: OMG!
Who Da Manny: that is so u!
Hmmmm... I don't know about that. First of all.. I'm not yellow. (They had *tan* skin... but only for like the arms and legs... all the heads were yellow... and I'm kinda anal like that where I need to have everything even toned.) Nor do I have that much boob-age going on. But luckily I was able to find a pair of glasses that didn't make me look like a complete NERD. Anyhoo... so everyone go play. :) It totally amused me for a good 10 minutes...

And so... today it happened. Brandi finally gave me a key to the shop. At first... I was all YAY!! I GET ANOTHER SHINY KEY FOR MY KEYCHAIN... but then it hit me. I'm going to be alone at the shop more because she trusts me... and although knowing that I'm trusted, it really makes me happy... BUT... I drive myself insane when I'm at the shop all by myself, not to mention I'm incredibly lonely. Its me and the ants... and the flowers. Today, I was there... and I was scaring myself to death. I kept on imagining some crazy kidnapper coming and getting me... and since I'm the only one there, no one would hear my screams of terror. I kept on thinking that someone was behind me or sneaking into the office... And in my mind, I kept on seeing those MISSING signs at Walmart when you walk in and thinking.. OH MY GOSH.. THAT MIGHT BE ME. Yes... its very lonely at work... and Nicole is very crazy.
How tragic... the plant that I bought a month ago is dying. I must soak it in water to make up for the love that I haven't been giving it lately.

And so my summer of work and complete nerd-dom has offically started. Actually, all my summers are usually pretty nerdy. I stay at home and I get into my books. Rereading my favorite ones and rewatching movies that were made from books... you gotta love A&E. The past few days, I've been living in this imaginary world of kindred spirits and love... :) I just bought the ANNE OF GREEN GABLES movies at Walmart so I've this super exicted nerd who knows every line and drools over the way Gilbert says "I'm sORry". *sigh* Carlene (althought she probably won't admit it) and I used to watch this movie ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY when we were younger...and back in the day when VHS videos were expensive... I would just borrow it from the San Dimas library and watch it. Well, that was until I got fed up of returning it... so then I learned how to connect the 2 VCRS and copy the movies... unfortunantly, the picture on MY bootleg copy was so bad... it would go from EXTREME brightness to EXTREME darkness... but oh wells.. I have my very own copy now!! *YAY*
Did I mention that Jonathan Crombie as Gilbert is absolutely ADORABLE!!?!? I swear... I've loved him since I was 10 years old...
So I'm in this very happy lovey dovey mood. :) I swear... the movies and books always make me HAPPY not to mention feeling incredibly girly. :) There are so many parts that just make my heart flutter and teary-eyed... its so special... Even if I'm in the next room and I'm not watching it but can hear it... I know whats going on onscreen and I'll get emotional. :) Silly nerdy me. Its my summer goal to get all the books again because I believe my dad threw all my whole ANNE series away a while back. Sad huh...
I predict that I'll be obsessed with Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE next week. :) THAT ONE I copied off of the TV when they first showed it... its so ghetto it still has commerical breaks.

I think the funniest part of crushes is that exact moment when you realize that you do like someone... it can be a look and just a "woah... i LIKE him" or the feeling of nerves and girlish giddyness knowing that he's going to be somewhere... or my ultimate favorite moment is when you absolutely lose it and break down at the Cerritos mall as your friends wonder what the hell has happen to cool and calm you. :) That moment could be absolute terror... but looking back at them... it makes me laugh. And kinda dread the next crush that may come my way....

Wow. LONG and tiring weekend. Mostly work. At night... played with friends and family. But yeah... it was mostly work.
Friday: Irvine Hilton. Spent the morning in the HOT and HUMID tent at the site. Oh my gosh... I seriously thought I was going to die it was so icky inside that thing. Had a pole crash down on my head. But the room looked absolutely beautiful. Really... Twinkle lights can make anything pretty. Afterwards, rushed home (not really RUSH due to ANNOYING traffic on the 91. I'm getting used to the 91... so when I see that the fastrak fee is over $3... then I know I'm screwed.), cleaned up and then went to Downtown Disney for dinner. Oh interesthing stuff....
Saturday: Met up at the shop for finishing touches on the flowers for the Ontario wedding... then drove over to Ontario Doubletree to set up. :) Spent 3 hours on my knees (don't go thinking your pervy thoughts Melissa!) tieing sashes to 220 chair covers. Luckily the ballroom had airconditioning so I really didn't mind. Actually, this wedding suprised me because when I was preparing the flowers... I thought that the bride was a bit psycho for her colors (pink, purple, fusha, and burgandy)... but in the end, it all came out really really well. Interesting. Anyways, afterwards, came home, cleaned up and drove over to Melissa's... and then over to Lisa's. :) I swear, I miss those girls so much... we should have camped out at Tams.... Anyways, I got to tell her my BIG news about an old "friend" of hers...and she told us her BIG news about an old "friend" of ours. (OH MY GOD!) We kidnapped Lisa and brought her over to Pico Rivera for Tita Choling's birthday party. I swear, those two... you'd think after how many years of attending these Concepcion functions.. they'd be used to everything by now. ;) The plates AND crazy drunkard Tito Romy speaking in tongue. ;) Brought Lisa back home and went to Blockbusters to rent Mariah Carey's "GLITTER" just for shits and giggles...
nicole: *smirking* soooo.. how many people have rented this movie?
blockbuster dude: Um... not really a lot. It's been out since January!
nicole: Oh my gosh... so if it doesn't come back... its not like you're going to miss it huh?
blockbuster dude: not really.
melissa: Is it free? At least you're not paying us to rent it.
came home and Carrie came over... and sadly enough... REALLY SADLY ENOUGH... We liked it. OH. AND WE ALL started to cry in the end. :( (I can't believe the end. I felt like I was cheated emotionally... WHHHHYYY!! *um... I hope I didn't ruin anything for you if you really wanted to watch it.*) Honestly, Mariah Carey wasn't SOOOO bad... Denise Richards is BAD. Mariah wasn't oscar worthy... but shes no Denise Richards. OH MY GOSH. DID I JUST SAY I WATCHED "GLITTER" AND LIKED IT? ;P No really.. I was pretty ok. Its better than CORKY ROMANO thats for sure. Yeah... so everyone must hold hands and support Mariah... ;) Get the "GLITTER" soundtrack! Drove Melissa back home and stayed up till like 6am just chatting with Carrie.. *boys of course... amongsts other things... ;)*
And so now I am blogging. ;) Today... I'll probably go to Holy Name for mass... but I'm not sure about my dinner plans for tonight because I think I need to spend some QT here at home mom and Carlene... but we'll see. I hate cancelling things at the last minute... *sigh*
