Oh baby oh baby... its Jason Mraz!

Can I say that I had the greatest time tonight at the Jason Mraz show. My goodness that BOY can SING! He has a voice! Hearing it live is competely different from on the radio... its amazing! He has this "mmmm" groan thats so sexy it made my toes curl and my jaw drop. :) Really. He has this ability to make you think like he's singing to you and you're the prettiest girl in the whole wide world. My heart just about stopped when he sang an acoustic verision "Rainbow Connection" (yes the Kermit song) and of course "You and I Both". He didn't sing "Sleep to Dream" which is another favorite song of mine... but oh wells. More reason to go see him again I guess. :)

Now I regret not seeing him with Jean all those times down in SD coffeeshops and whatnot for only $5. I've truly been missing out!

The Wiltern was pretty small and intimate, but it was standing room only. So, we opted to stand in the back where it was less crowded and we could still have a nice view of the stage. We were right behind the lighting and sound guys... so we were in awe of the lighting guys "button" magic and got to know what Jason was going to play before everyone did.

I felt so special. :)

Actually, really, I did. I got my ticket because another girl had backed out... so yay for me! :)

Plus I really had a grand ole time with Jean, Carrie, Beth, Ann... and the several hundred men, women, teenyboppers, gay couples who wanted to see MRAZ. Such a terriffic night. :)

spaznik: my fingers are cold.
jeanyah: put your toe socks on your hands
jeanyah: that's what individually wrapped clothing is for
jeanyah: NOT YOUR TOES
spaznik: but my toes would be freezing if it werent for my toesocks!

I have NANNY socks. :)

I really don't get why Jean is so against my socks. I'm happy and my toes are warm. Its like they're individually being loved. And... they put me in the mood to watch MUPPET BABIES. :)

Oh perfect! My socks match the blog! :)

Anyways, I had a nice, laid back day today. I spent my morning with my darling sister. No work today! Actually, we do have an event this weekend, but there aren't any flowers needed so I'm getting some nice time off before the weekend. Gosh, if I DID have the entire weekend off, I'd be participating in a good ole "CKI" weekend filled with Masquerade and Installs... but alas, I can't. Darnnit. At least though, JASON MRAZ tomorrow with Jean, Carrie, Beth and Ann. "You and I boooottth loooooove!"

*Note to self: Do NOT go shopping with intentions of buying new jean/pants wearing high boots (aka "the hooker boot") because they'll just be a pain taking them off and putting them on over and over again in the dressing room(s).

Big congrats to Sonny who got a job! YAY FOR SONNY!!

Boo for me because now I'm stuck with the horrible/slow/useless "new" girl. Oh wells... I'll survive and at least Sonny will be doing something that he's meant to do, rather than doing chaircovers. ;)

Oh our way home from our celebratory dinner, I found myself singing "SHOW ME THE MEANING OF BEING LONELY" with my mom in the car. Wow. You really can't help but feel lonely in that situation can you? But it got better.. the song that came on the radio afterwards was Chicago/Peter Cetera's "YOU'RE THE INSPIRATION". There... life got a little bit better. Not to mention extremely cheesy.

Hmmmm... Isn't the weather terriffic? Can't help but feel bad for Fall though. It never came! Its as if Summer and Winter ganged up on him and said "Screw you Fall!" tied him up and put him in the closet. Poor guy. But since its been cold... I got new toe socks! In fact, I'm wearing them now! *wiggles toes* Now I can wear flip flops and socks at the same time... if I wanted to. But I wouldn't. Eww.

But soon the holidays will be here, school will be done and work won't be as hectic! I can spend all my days at disneyland watching the fireworks and playing in the disney "snow" (while being emotional and tearyeyed because everything will be so pretty and surreal). I love the holidays! :) I'm so excited...

JC Soze81: and because sheeps..that were painted in different colors...dude..that means you are super..ultra..mega gay
JC Soze81: it make sense..thats why you went to see a play!!!!
JC Soze81: and saw RICHARD SIMMONS
JC Soze81: hehehehe...thought u liked to know...

Did I mention that I was being chased by a giant crab... wearing loafers? ;)

Which reminds me... Dane*drool*Cook is gonna be at Ontario Laugh Factory at the end of the month. Who wants to play at the BK Lounge?

Oh baby oh baby... ;)

I want to be a producer...

Last night, went to go see THE PRODUCERS at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. :) Seriously, if you get the chance, GO SEE IT! If you love Mel Brooks movies... you'll love it. Really... you will. Chelle and I used to watch "ROBIN HOOD MEN IN TIGHTS" religiously in high school and so we were laughing really hard when it came to the little funny details that only Mel Brooks could think of. Plus also Jason Alexander and Martin Short are just amazing. AMAZING I tell you! They had so much energy it was insane! There was one moment in the play when Jason Alexander completely lost it and started laughing for a good minute because of Martin Short's antics... TOO FUNNY!

And can I say that the inside of the Pantages theater is absolutely BEAUTIFUL?! Really... it is.

OH! And sitting 5 rows ahead of us was....

a white guy...

with a big brown hair that resembled an afro...

YOU GUESSED IT!!

RICHARD SIMMONS!

The whole time I kept on thinking "Oh my gosh... I hope Richard Simmons isn't getting offended by this gay joke..." and since there were a WHOLE LOT of gay jokes, I was thinking that A LOT. But then again, I'm not sure... isn't he gay? I could be wrong...

I guess being in the whole "musical atmosphere" gave me a musical dream. Well not really. Not everyone was singing. I dreamt that I was back in SL and at a drama competition. At the last minute, one of the girls didn't show up, so the drama teacher looked at me and asked "Nicole! Can you sing "I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LOVE HIM?" and proceeded to highlight the versus in my music book. "Sure!" I said. So I sat there patiently waiting for our group to be called up while silently freaking out because I had no idea what my cues where or if there was any dancing involved in the "big" number... but before I got to find out... I WOKE UP!

Let me note that I was bitterly disappointed when I woke up. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY BIG BREAK! But I guess to have made it in my dream... only to wake up afterwards would have been just as disappointing as well. Oh wells...

Speaking of dreams, Robert has an interestng theory for the one I had the other night...
Zasher816: so in response to your shoe dream
Zasher816: that is pretty crazy
Zasher816: but i think i've unraveled it
Zasher816: you've got a lot of themes running through the dream, but they all come back tone main thing
Zasher816: you've been having a lot of stress because of your car
Zasher816: namely a/c
Zasher816: so you being in the ghetto of LA symbolizes how you feel about your car
Zasher816: yes, it is essentially, ghetto
Zasher816: so the reason you were shoe shopping is because it's your unconcious trying to cope with the ghettoness of your car, basically it makes you feel better
Zasher816: the sheep is interesting because you were trying to count them to get to sleep, but they got caught in yer dream
Zasher816: why they were painted i have no idea, yer weird
Zasher816: anyway
Zasher816: yer car was essentially missing
Zasher816: telling you that you shouldn't have been in the ghetto of LA, buying shoes period
Zasher816: i think it's foreshadowing
Zasher816: oh and the black dress
Zasher816: was it nice, or slutty?
Zasher816: haha

It was a nice dress. :P

Sunday, November 02, 2003

I had the weirdest dream last night. For some reason, I was shoe shopping in the "ghetto" of downtown LA wearing a black dress. When I was done shopping, I went outside to look for my car... but it was gone! I freaked out and started running up and down the streets... and thought "OH MY GOSH! I HOPE IT WASN'T STOLEN!" This freaked me out even more, because then I'd have to explain why I was shoe shopping in the ghetto in the first place because I was supposed to be somewhere else. So instead of calling the police, I just started retrace my footsteps (car-steps?) and found myself walking in some rural area. There were sheep. Sheep that were painted different colors. Then I remembered, I parked my car over there! But then the sheep all started running amok and paint was getting all over the place... and I woke up VERY CONFUSED.

Analyze that!
