I'm giggling right now cause I'm looking at the last time I blogged. So much for that resolution. But then again, its still more than last year and we're talking about quality vs. quantity and other justifying things to make it seem ok. I mean, would my inner monologue about my slight addiction to Korean dramas, shopping visits to Daiso, super awesome friend adventures, quality family time, and dating shenanigans be really interesting to those (all 2) who read this?
Possibly.
I highly doubt that you're interested in the crazy person on the phone at work who asked me how the baby in my tummy is doing (True story). Actually, you might. So this lady at work asked me how the baby in my tummy was doing, which prompted me to scream/cry "I'm not pregnant!!!" and not eat that evening. When I told my sister, she told that she's praying to the Blessed Virgin to help me give baby Eva cousins to play with and to also tell me to stop wearing dresses cause maybe that caused the woman to think I was pregnant. Yay! I have a complex now!
Tomorrow is a start of a nice little 6 day weekend before things go all work crazy and I start smelling like sweat, tears, Disney magic and Christmas. Tomorrow I plan on waking up in the morning, working out and baking up a storm of Thanksgiving pies before getting shitfaced and screaming my little teeniebopper heart out at a Justin Timberlake concert. Who knew I'd be only a slightly more responsible girl than I was a decade or so ago.

It's A Beautiful Night, We're Looking for Something Dumb to do...
Its now officially the 4th week of January and I'm still blogging away. Word up naysayers!!
So new things: Earlier this month, I started Bar Method. Its horrible. I'm in pain all of the time. I hate it, but at the same time I seriously love it. I get why Rhianna goes back to Chris Brown... wait did I say that?? Gosh, that's an awful analogy but its the first thing that came to mind. It sorta makes sense but still, its completely effed up. In a nutshell, I found love in a hopeless place. After my first time, even my hand was shaking when I was unlocking my locker. Now 6 classes in, I'm not *as* pathetic when I go, In my mind, I'm a super flexible ballerina. HA. I'm not. Far from it. But it has made me determined to be those bitches who can do the "alternative options" and step it up a notch without looking like I'm about to die. Granted I'll probably still be shaking and sweating up a storm and dying, but I want to make it look easy.
That's a do-able goal right?
Speaking of goals, last weekend, I went to Vegas with the intention of playing craps for the first time. Cause how awesome would it be to write about winning an obscene amount of money, making flirty eye contact with the hot guy in the suit and blowing on his dice for luck and then doing something completely stupid? But that didn't happen because while good amount of alcohol came my way and other stuff happened. I don't remember much. Still very exciting and fun but nothing new than your usual Vegas weekender... that I remember.
Among the other new things thus far: Tried a new restaurant, made a new friend in my local Rite Aid after having a bonding moment screaming about growing up in the same locations, hung out with some new folks... It's been great!
In my foreseeable future, I may be draining my shower clog with a plummer snake (not a euphemism) with the help of some youtube videos.
Wish me luck with that one. No seriously.

Frim Fram Sauce
So while thinking about "this" goal, I created a lil list of things that I could do. But surprisingly, I've been finding that doing something new has been easier than I thought. On Saturday, I was sitting at lunch with friends and I had this realization, “Wow, I've never been to this restaurant…” Granted it was an Outback Steakhouse, but there you go. YOLO.
For those who were wondering (Hi Mom and guest) , the salmon cooking went well. No one died and my apartment didn't burn down, which makes it a success in my book. Sure, it was slightly salty and there were some complications due to the fact that I didn't have a can opener (I now have one) for 1 item but it’s been done and I’ll probably do it again but stick to the recipe. Oh and probably get some measuring spoons for accuracy. Apparently I can’t just eyeball 3 tablespoons of oyster sauce.
Something to work on I guess.
Contrary to this entry, I really can cook. Really.

Thanks to the wonders of technology, I can blog from my phone at a jiffy lube. I dunno if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
I guess this means there are no excuses. Blog bitch. Write shit down.

It's a Supernatural Delight... Everybody's Dancing in the Moonlight.
HA HA! Day 2 of blogging in 2013. Granted this isn't going to be an everyday occurrence, but I'm glad to get stuff down while I can and have it fresh in my head.
So the other day while driving, I came up with this completely asinine idea. "Nicole. You should do 1 new thing a week. 1 new thing that you've never done before. It doesn't have to be super clever, but it'll be something that will make this year interesting."
I think one of the things about 2012 that made it so great was that I had a lot of new experiences and adventures. Not that I ever thought that I was in the rut past years, but this one definitely had its moments. Call it bad influences/awesome influences/peer pressure/morbid curiousity/ whatever... in the end, personal growth was achieved and I'm thirsty for more.
Gosh that's such a cliche line. Sorry I went there.
Anyways, so along with my resolutions to blog, run/work out more, increase my water intake, cook vs frozen/convient food, I'm going to try this thing where I do 1 new thing a week.
Somethings will be exciting. At least I hope so. Though I do have a limited budget so whirlwind trips to the exotic are completely out of the question. But I hope to do some local field trips. Also since this is a public blog and there is a good chance that my parents will see this, things will stay PG. For the most part. Somethings will be incredibly boring. Example, right now I'm planning on cooking salmon tomorrow. And yes, I've never cooked salmon. (Fear of burning it. Hate of defrosting it. Scared that it's going to make my tiny ass apartment smell fishy. Failure and disappointment, the norm.) But I have 52 weeks to try 52 new things.
And I plan to log it here.
What have I gotten myself into?
Once again. Super cliche. Ugh. Sorry.

She's So Wack, Her First Name Should Be Nick-Nack-Patty!
Woah. No blogs at all in 2012?? Sorry dear blog.. I didn't mean it. I guess this is now my official resolution to blog more in 2013. Get back into the habit of logging those daily highlights so that if I have kids and the internet is still revelent, they can look back and go "Man, Mom was lame writing down all this stuff for everyone to see." Shut up brat. I love you and I'm fucking cool.
Anyways, since I didn't blog at all last year, lets give some highlights shall we?
First things first, my adorable niece Evangeline was born. She's a pretty awesome baby. Carlene and I had this "deal" that since her due date was close to my birthday, she would give her my name as the baby's middle name if the baby was born on my birthday. And it was only under those conditions. So you can imagine my excitement when I got the call on June 7th that she was entering the hospital to induce the labor. If the baby could hold out for another 12 hours, she would be given an amazing middle name that automatically exudes awesomeness. So we waited. And waited. Around 10pm, the Doctor came in and said what we all wanted to hear, the baby wasn't coming tonight and would arrive tomorrow. June 8th.... My birthday!! Now officially our birthday!! :) She's probably the bestest birthday present I've ever gotten and I can't wait to share a lifetime of Hello Kitty birthday parties with that lil nugget.
Also, this past year I decided that it was time for me to be "roommate-less." And while I've scared myself on occasion (Thought a crumpled Forever 21 bag was a portrait of Hitler in my closet. True story.) I've come to the point where living alone has spoiled me and because of that, I may never get married. I don't have to clean up after anyone cause my mess is my mess. The dishes are washed, I can watch whatever I want on TV, wear pants or not wear pants... its amazing!! Granted, its not perfect. Parking sucks (especially for those who may visit) and my neighbors in the building next door tend to have loud crazy sex at 4am when I usually have to be up at 6am. But that's what earplugs are for. Also, I just realized that I haven't baked at all here, so that's gonna have to change.
2012 was a year of hanging out with great friends and having some f*cking amazing experiences. Camping in the desert in trailers, scary movies and bad movies, karaoke nights with American sake, my first 5K, cards and scares in the mountains, drinking in the museums, taco Tuesdays, babies galore, the adventures of Fluffy... and with work getting slightly insane (btw, I got this new position for this new baby department that just boomed in the last year), it's those highlights that kept me going and seriously gave me something to look forward to.
So with all that, I already know that 2013 is going to be epic. At least I hope so. And I hope to write it all down here. ;)

Oh Goodness...
N: So how was your weekend?
J: Eh. I had dinner with my ex-girlfriend tonight and things didn't go well.
N: Aww... I'm sorry to hear that. But how was the rest of your weekend?
J: Awesome!!
N: Oh really? How so?
J: I had great sex!!
N: Um... so why are you talking to me?
J: She was just a friend!!
Welcome to my dating life.
Its funny, when I told my friend about "J" and his weekend activities she stated that she admired his honesty. I saw it as waaaay super modern and I wasn't sure if it was something I'd be able to do... But we continued talking. Deep inside, I knew he was a good guy. He was down to earth, we actually talked for hours about anything and everything and he wasn't one of those pervy creeps. I guess what had drawn myself to him was 1. his want and actual eagerness to have a family and 2. he was cute.. I'm a sucker for cute and guys who like "futures."
The only thing was that we had huge difference in religion and spirituality which did spark some debate. And while I enjoyed the banter, and the super mind stimulating conversations, it sorta came down to that in the end.
And after a couple of weeks of talking, who knew that one debate about down syndrome babies and abortion could be such a romance killer? Oh and the fact that he googled me, but hey at least I'm google-able!! That's sorta charming right?

We Lived Our Lives in Fear!
Tonight, I had dinner with one of my dearest friends from college/high school and whenever we get together, we have these moments that prove why we are friends. For example:
N: Oh, I hate those shows that made me cry! My mom wanted me to watch that one show... uh... the one with the.. uh...
J: The houses!
N: YES! Extreme Makeover Home Edition!
*high five*
See. We're awesome like that.
Anyways, so sitting there we started reminiscing about how things were and the things we would do differently now that we're oh so much "older and wiser." For example:
- Party a little bit more. Yes, my years in CKI were awesome and I have some wonderful memories and friendships that have stemmed from that experience. However, did we really NOT drink during conventions and nighttime events for fear of being kicked out of the organization? Cause you know... being kicked out of a service organization is the worst thing possible.
- Seriously think about your future. Really, is that liberal studies degree going to take you places? Maybe your parents had a good idea when they suggested that you try something in the medical field. But no, you wanted to write or teach or become a dreamer. Not that I am unhappy about where I am now, but seriously younger Nicole, think about it. Your need to throw up over the sight of blood might go away eventually.
- Just talk to the guy. There's no harm in being friendly and forward. Not too forward you hussy. But he has no idea that you're alive and he can't read your mind, so might as well say hi, strike up a convo and slut it up a bit.
- Try some drugs. It can't be that bad... just don't get too crazy and addicted. You drink already.
Oh and one more thing...
N: I'd totally not apply for any credit cards.
J: HELL YEAH!

Reunited and it Feels so Good?
The thing about working in such a popular place is that you're bound to run into folks. A couple of days ago I was in the park actually playing with friends and I recognized some old acquaintances from college. Back then they were dating and now they were married with their newborn baby girl in the stroller. So of course, I say HI and coo over their new family. We talk about the good old days and then the husband says to me.
"You know, you lost SOOOOOOO much weight."
"Um... a little. Thanks! I'm still working on it."
"No seriously, you're a LOT smaller. You lost SOOOO MUCH!!! You look good!!"
Conversations like that, while have the best intentions always make me wanna die because really. HOW BIG WAS I BEFORE!?!? A simple "you look good" would have totally sufficed rather than stress how I used to be a big huge cow in college.
Then here comes the kicker. This is part in the romantic comedy when the audience cringes.
"So, are you seeing anyone?"
Ahhh. Awkward life. This is why I write shit down.

I Guess I Shoulda Known by the Way You Parked Your Car Sideways That It Wouldn't Last
It's not a suprpise by those who know me, but I admit, I'm not the best driver. There are 2 things going against me. I'm Asian and I'm a female. I'm not one for racial and sexist stereotypes, but in this case, I fit it to the T. And I really do try to be a better driver. And while the last accident I had was actually my fault, the previous 2 before that weren't my bad at all. The one before those... yeah. And then my first one that wasn't my fault either.
Not too bad right?
When I was 16, getting my drivers license was a traumatic experience. I had to take the drivers test several times that in the end, my dad found a family friend who worked at the DMV and had me drive the course repeatedly one late summer night until I had ever turn, stop, arm signal etc down. And its not that I'm a bad driver because I know I definitely could be worse. But taking that test was a lot of pressure on pathetic 16 year old me who wanted her drivers license BADLY and didn't want to eff up.
So you can only imagine my horror when I looked down at my current drivers license and discovered that it's expiring on my birthday. In June.
I mentally cataloged through all my mail and realized that I never received my renewal. Did I miss something? Maybe I could renew online. But when I registered and put in my information, it said I was ineligible and needed to call the office.
The girl at the DMV was super sweet and explained to me that since I renewed my license twice via mail in the past, I would now need to go to the actual office and renew. Which means, new picture, new fingerprints, and I would need to RETAKE THE WRITTEN TEST.
F*CK.
So, here I am blogging with my driver's handbook ready to get highlighted and studied. You'd think that 15 years later, I'd be chill and breezy regarding this, but sadly I've reverted to a nervous 16 year old and I'm slightly freaked out about it. I don't want to be the 30 year old without a driver's license!! Do you know how long it's gonna take me to get to work on the bus?
What if I fail and I need to drink... will they take expired licenses?
I don't even want to know.
***UPDATE***
So I get to the DMV and while the guy in front of me getting his license renewed looked shocked when he was told that he needed to retake the written test, I was just as shocked to be told nothing about a test. Just that my ID would take 3-6 weeks to get to me.
That's right suckas. This girl didn't take have to take it at all. WOOOOOOOOOT!!
So where we going? ;)

Backstreet's Back. Alright!
Idle threats idle threats. But after a long conversation in the predawn hours post Rapture and thinking about it more and more the last couple of days, I am determined to blog more. Its crazy to think that I started this in 2000. 11 Years!?! What happened? I used to be so cute and adventurous... Now I'm just a sad shell of what used to be.
Kidding!!
So Nicole, how has it been lately you ask?
Well, here's the cliffnotes: I work a lot. I fell in love. It was really nice. But then I had this moment where I realized I wasn't as happy as I could be. Why? Different wants and needs. So now I'm single and actually quite content with life. Its funny, when you break up with someone, you don't think you'll get to that point cause you're too busy crying like a crazy and missing that person. But then you do all those typical things you do during a break up: drink, party, immerse yourself in work, surround yourself with friends, go on a crazy roadtrip, listen to a lot of Maroon 5, and boom... there you go. Clarity. You're in a better place. You have no regrets. You're eager to move on and find what you really want. And you're actually happy with how life is. She will be loved bitches. She will be loved.
So where am I now?
Well, can I just say that I've met a lot of interesting gentlemen lately and I'm actually going into this with a very open mind and carefree attitude. And its been an absolute blast!! Of course, I'm sure there will be another post just dedicated to some of the characters I've been meeting because, yeah... there's a LOT of crazy out there. But since this is my first trip back to bloggsville, I know I should leave you wanting more like a sweet delicious tease.
~*~
Its weird to think that sometimes my mom and I talk freely about our dating lives. 5 minutes after walking through the door the other day, she asked me "How's the love life."
I proceeded to tell her about this one guy I've been talking to more frequently and she knew to ask the important questions:
"Does he have a car?"
"Yes Mom..."
"Does he have friends?"
"Yes Mom..."
"Does he like his family?"
"Yes Mom..."
"Well he sounds great so far!!"
You think I kid, but she knows what my heart is looking for.

H: It's so funny...I think most of these guys are actually straight but participate in gay porn because they're really poor in their country....don't you think?
N: How will we know they're really Eastern European? Accents? Really who talks in porn??
H Are they talking?
N: I dunno...
N: This is were I would say "I fast forward to the good stuff."
H: Poor guys...god bless them and their stretched out assholes...

This Sh*t is Bananas
Happy Cinco de Mayo kids!! I know... broken promises. I said I would blog more, but obviously I'm not. I know... I suck. But maybe its better this way. I'm not forced to think so hard during the day and when I do, its like a treat for both of us. Yes? Yes.
Anyways, keeping with my lifelong theme of "did this really happen to me?" after having dinner with my sister, we ended up at Target. Typically when we go to Target, we have the same pattern. She grabs the cart, we start walking to the right and we circle the store. Starting with women's clothes, into electronics, homegoods, foods (if needed), beauty, and then accessories. Tonight's trip also included a stop at shoes.
Target shoes are usually a hit or miss. Sometimes you find a pair and they're totally jellyfish... initally they're pretty and lovely... but then after one use, they hurt like a MOTHER. So persuing the shoe aisle really is a rarity since I wasn't looking for anything in particular nor was I feeling the need for bloody stumps in shiny packaging. But I was there and something caught my eye which prompted the following:
Me: Oooh rain boots are on sale!
Random Stranger @Target: Are you expecting rain?
Me: Oh no... But just in case for next season, I'll be ready!!
RS@T: I don't like that about you.
Me: Huh?
RS@T: I DONT LIKE THAT ABOUT YOU.
She then left my aisle and continued to talk to me behind another aisle.
RS@T: I don't even like buying green bananas.
I'd like to point out that I had no idea who this woman was. All I know was that she was in the same shoe aisle as me. And she hates me and green bananas.
I ran to find Carlene and asked if she had heard the interaction, which sadly she didn't. But when I told her my story, she completed my thought with "You don't even know her!!"
Does this happen to anyone else? Are some funky hate stars aligned tonight? It could have been way worst. I mean, did you hear about the stabbing at the Target in WeHo?
Ohmigosh, I totally could have died.
Nah. I would have lugged a rainboot at her and ran. Plus I'm sure my badass sister would have had my back and ran her over with the cart. We're hardcore like that.

Uber Geek Out with Mr. Black...
Nicole: Mr. Miyagi cannot beat Yoda. ONLY BECAUSE Yoda has the force on his side.
CB: LAME LAME LAME LAME LAME. heck no
N: Yoda trained Luke to raise his ship out of the swamp. Miyagi only tained Dainel to beat the Kobra Kai. You're talking SUPER NATURAL FORCES here.
CB: hello, they went to the golf n stuff in Downey, I've been there. I've never been to no stupid outer space
N: I'm fairly sure Miyagi can beat the Ewoks. Hands down. No question. But Yoda? Riiiighhhtt... HE HAS A LIGHT SABER!! Are you looking at all the factors?
CB: Can you use any methods Yoda, no?? paint the fence. Freakn magical stuff right there I can actually use. Havent you tried to catch a fly with chopsticks?? That mess is HARD.
N: but you're talking about THE FORCE!!
CB: and yoda talks like he is retarded
N: you're retarded.
CB: ya, but me and Miyagi speaka da english correctly.
CB: I win!!! Any other challenges you think you can win just let me know
N: LOL wow... Mr. Miyagi would still go down. Yoda would slice him in half by the time he waxed on and off. True story.
CB: then you paint the fence, that blocks it all the way around
N: he's not painting an actual fence you know.
CB: nope, hes blocking away lifes evil demons that come at him
N: and even if he were... his fence is weak.
CB: at least he can see over the fence
N: Touche CB. Touche.
CB:see, i win again
N: in HEIGHT!!!
CB: like danielson coming back with the crane to win the tournament
N: a tournament. Not the galaxy.
CB: yoda doesnt even have a finishing move
N: He doesn't need a finishing move. He has a light saber!!
CB: Whooptie freakin do, every1 had 1 back then. If you wanna go to a laker game who would you take?? Mr Miyagi by far
N: LOL Where is this going?! Yoda would totally be great to take to a game... Yoda would be able to use the force to ruin the other team's game
CB: yoda is as ugly as chloe
N: he's cute and huggable!!
CB: yoda is more a halftime show
N: Mr. Miyagi, if you were to hug him, he's smell old.
CB: Ok if you got in a fight and had to use one of their fighting methods and you use the "force" you just look like some crazy person. in an actually fight, paint the fence works as well as wax on wax off
N: No... if you use the force, people would get freaked out and stay away from you
CB: Exactly, like a weirdo
CB: WIN.

Q: How many emo kids does it take to screw in a lightbulb? A: None. They'd rather sit in the dark and cry.
I've said it once and I'll say it again... "its been a while dear blog." This time though I'm convinced that the word "blog" is just echoing in the abyss cause goodness knows who still reads this thing.
"blog... log... log... log...."
Let's keep on truckin, shall we?
EEEK! I guess its been so long that I've done this that my typing fast is causing my laptop to make little demon noises. Sort of a "What the f*ck do you think you're doing?! This is WAAAAAAY more than 140 characters!" Shut it Lappie. Deal with it. I'm blogging.
So, whats the new happenings?

2 weeks ago, one of my coworkers left for vacation and she left her fish at the office so that we can watch and feed it while she was gone. Well, the fish after 2 days just looked like crap. It was all balled up in fetal position, staying low next to the rocks, and wasn't eating. I called it Emo Fish. I imagined that if it could, it would totally slump it way to a Hot Topic, buy some tight jeans, eye liner, and a twilight shirt it was so emo-y. Everyday for the next 2 weeks, people would stop by and say "that fish is dying." One guy brought his tank heater in cause he said the water was too cold. Another guy said the water was too warm, so then we took out the heater. Someone else came in and said their fish was doing the same thing right before it croaked. I just kept on thinking that any time, I would just look up and by chance, see little Emo Fish go belly up.
Funny thing is that the little guy lived in such a "I hate the world wretchness" for the longest time. It was like how when I was growing up, my cousin would always say a blessing before family dinner. And without a doubt, everytime, he would always make a mention of how this birthday/holiday/special occasion would probably the last that our Nanang would have. Year after year it would be the "last." I like to think that my grandma held on all those years just to spite him and make him look stupid.
So the day before my co-worker came back, little Emo Fish went on to the big ocean in the sky. I'm not going to say if he went naturally or if someone decided to put him out of his little emo misery and possibly slammed him onto the ground. I don't know any details.
But what sort of makes me sad is that when my co-worker came back, she said that he was like that all the time. That the fish would just hang out at the bottom of his bowl all curled up reciting Dashboard Confessional lyrics. And just when she'd think she would flush it, he would lighten up and swim around his bowl. That's just how he was.
Talk about awkward.
Like I said, I don't know too many details of his passing, but I do hope Emo Fish is in a happier place.

Reason #342 Why we need our own TV show...
Hector: You hate me
Nicole: Awwww.. I don't hate you...
Nicole: If I hated you I'd be all "HECTOR. I HATE YOU"
Nicole: "HECTOR... I'M GOING TO FEED YOU TO MY TARANTULA."
Nicole: And then you'd wish me away....
Nicole: And then wake up all alone... home alone in fact.
Nicole: And it'd be fun at first... but then crooks are gonna rob your house on Christmas eve.
Hector: woooooooooooooooow
Hector: Seriously, get out of your house right now
Nicole: Why!?
Hector: And make 5 new friends
Nicole: LOL!!!
Hector: That do not live in your television
Hector: And they can't be named Rose, Dorothy, Blanche or Ma
Hector: Are you to busy being a FOB?
Nicole: Yes I'm chatting it up, making lumpia and playing with my calculator at the same time.
Hector: YAY Lumpia!

.... Its March Already?!?
And I haven't blogged in like FOREVER!! I've twittered pretty frequently, and while it's sorta the same, sometimes I need more than 140 characters to tell a story.
Like for instance, how I think I may have inadvertently mentally messed up a kid today.
Yeah.
SO while I was shopping this afternoon, this little boy having a temper tantrum and his mother screaming at him to stop. So there I am, filtering through dresses and thinking "How would I wear this" when out of nowhere, I hear the mom screech "I'm going to give you away!!" She then pulls me completely out of my shopping trance by tapping my shoulder and asking "WOULD YOU WANT A LITTLE BOY?"
Let me just say that when she asked me it, she winked. There was no actual attempt to barter her child and it actually reminded me of when I was a kid. Whenever my sister and I would fight, my mom would threaten to separate us and give one of us away to my Auntie in Pico Rivera. I know now that my mom wouldn't actually have separate us but back then, the threat scared us sh*tless and made us not fight (for that time being anyways.)
So here I am perusing my local TJ MAXX, and I was just offererd a child. The little boy is looking at me and is probably wondering if life with me will better. He sniffs a bit and waits for my answer. I right then and there CHANNELLED MY OWN MOTHER and asked the mom back "Well, is he a good boy??"
"No."
"Oh sorry... no thank you."
The mom then turns to the pouty boy and says "SEE. No one wants you."
Pouty boy cries bloody hell and I'm thinking "OH MY GOODNESS!! I HAVE RUINED THIS CHILD!! I should have said 'Yes!! I have laundry that needs folding and my car needs washing!'" I could have been like Angelina!
I know this is all about discipline and in the end, he'll learn that being good is waaaaay better than being bad. But it still sucks to freak out and think that no one wants you. I'm 29 and the idea itself is pretty damn scary. Then again, if not now, then there might be a Maury show just for him. Adult men who have temper tantrums while still shopping with their mothers.
Yeah, better to nip it in the bud now.

Everytime it rains, it rains pennies from heaven...
I love everything about the rain! I love wearing jackets! I love umbrellas. I love free car washes!! I love it! So as you can imagine, I can't wait to go to work tomorrow just so I can walk that huge parking lot in the rain. Yum!
Yesterday, was a not so awesome day. I should have know right at midnight when the day started. I was driving home and found myself on the wrong freeway and getting home in an hour as opposed to the usual 25 minutes it takes me. Later on that day, I wasn't able to save the document I was working on for a good 5 hours on my computer, which was REALLY weird because it didn't prompt me to save when I closed the program. I freaked slightly when I discovered what I had done and spent a good 45 minutes afterward googling "RECOVERING AUTO-SAVE", but nothing would work. Then, to make the day UBER crappy, when I finally got home that night, I discovered that my house key had fallen off of my key chain and I was locked out. The bed I wanted to cry into was behind a bolt and a security system and I was depressed as f*ck.
It definitely could have been worse, that's for sure. But life was pretty shitty right then and there.
Luckily my roomie Erica had gotten off work early and was able to rescue me from my despair. She also got me a new key which I promptly added onto my keychain. Midnight came again, and that wretched day was over with.
Today was good. I saved everything I worked on and I didn't have to beat any computers senseless.
OH!! And I got a full tank of gas with $20.
:) I can't complain.
