Correction...

doubleup144: Dobby is from Harry Potter!! It's Gollum is from LOTR!

Sorry.. my bad. I still haven't seen "The Two Towers"... plus I'm a "Harry Potter" girl. :)

Breakdown of the night...

HAPPY day after your BIRTHDAY PETEY dinner was so much FUN!! :) I think we made GREAT first impressions with our waitor, by screaming "VOLCANO" during his dessert run (his name was also Pete... so you can already imagine all 14 of us greeting him a happy "PEEEETTEEYY" when we found that out.) Petey (the real one/birthday boy/non-waitor) busted out with his brand new remote control jeep from the "Brotherhood" (insert power-fist motion here) and his mini doubleup was going up and down Rainforest Cafe. I got to see Beth (YAY!) and watch sexy Mike-Bob and Luc banter back and forth about gay apes and what not... Petey was very entertaining with his numerous impressions of Stuart *noooooooooo Suart*, and weird "Dobby" looking thing from Lord Of the Rings *My Precious...* while he was sober!! ;) Petey just rocks like that...

Afterwards, although I swore to myself that I would NEVER EVER go back, I went to Club Alondra with Janelle and Lorraine where we met up with Lan and Mikie. It was... interesting. They had that one rapper azn "Jin" there who was... um... interesting. He was rapping to all the AZN girls... it was pretty horrible... Oops.. I mean "interesting." Actually to make it somewhat humorous to myself, I kept on imagining he was rapping to all the "Hatian" girls... well up until he started picking on every nationality on the continent of Asia and well that was bad. (We've surpassed "interesting" already.) Anyways, he got off the stage and they finally played some good music and then it was done.

I can't ever look straight into the camera or else there would be a giant glare from my glasses... and forget the idea of taking off the glasses because I'll just end up looking crossed eyed. Yay nerdy me!

Good to know that the bra was the deciding factor in our dinner outing.

A funny thing happened at work today...

Well, this past weekend, we've been moving shop. The area were we're at now is much nicer and so I don't think I'll be getting freaked out at much anymore when I'm alone. No that isn't the funny thing. Anyways, since the building is completely brand new, we've been working without any utilities... Well today, the telephone-jack man came to install some wiring and other important phone stuff. He was probably about 60 years old and was a nice, friendly fellow. Later on during the day, he asked for a trash because he had a whole lot of extra rope that he needed to throw away... but since the shop is in shambles at the moment due to the moving, we couldn't find it. So then, Mr. Telephone-jack man said "Well, you can keep it, just in cause you need it to tie up some brush... or you can tie yourself up."

WHAT!?!

For a moment, I thought I was hearing things, but I looked up and Brandi had the same confused look on her face that I probably had on mine. Anyways, we remained friendly at a nice cautious distance from Mr. Telephone-jack guy...

later on...
Nicole: And you said he reminded you of your grandfather...
Brandi: "My grandfather never said that!"

Well, if you haven't noticed, I redecorated a bit. :) Suprisingly enough, there isn't a lot of pink in here... oh wells. I think I might go pink withdrawals... I'll keep on playing around with this so we'll see. So far so good I guess... I think it's pretty. But then again, I could be wrong. I've been staring at the computer for such a long time that I would know if its actually nice to look at or I'm just relieved that everything's working. Its a start though...

I'm still trying to figure out the archives. For a while, I was upset because I had thought that I lost my archives. Thats 2 years and 4 months of my life! But luckily, I found it, (I can't put it up on the site for some odd reason, so if any of you *oh so cute* tech savvy guys know anything about this or blogger codes.. do share. You'll be my bestest buddy in the whole wide world... and I'll bake you a cookie. ;)) and just in case I might lose all my past blogs again in the future, I saved them on Word. I was going to print it out... but I don't have enough ink or paper. Apparently on word, Arial, font size 10, my writing from the year 2000 would be 23 pages, 2001 would fill 112 pages, and 2002 would be a whopping 181 pages! I didn't even think I wrote that much!

So I finally figured out how to use dreamweaver! :) How exciting!

Sunday, January 26, 2003

"I don't know... they just tied me up."

Apparently Kathy had a dream the other night in which I starred in. It wasn't sexy or anything... I was just crazy and strapped down onto a gurney. Weird stuff.

Anyways, I am NOT crazy. Even though my previous blog would probably be sufficent evidence to send me to the looney bin for incredibly desperate and insane girls. :P Well, if you haven't figured it out, I didn't write it. Someone else did, carrie, but I must admit, the idea of wanting to find a "play boyfriend" for Valentines day was my idea. I was joking though... but you try and walk around walmart at 1am without not wanting to just smother yourself in the giant piles cute valentines plush animals! Really!! You know that you secretly hope that there's someone who's gonna think about you on Valentines day in a romantic and somewhat carnal way. Its not desperate... its normal.

But yeah... February 14... giant singles dinner? :) Sound good? Tell me if you want in. I have IDEAS!! And really.. when am I not fun?

Don't answer that. ;P

Saturday, January 25, 2003

Hi guys...so how many of you hot single men out there are looking to do a good deed for a fellow human being? Valentine's Day is coming up, right? And all those lovey dovey couples are making plans like no other to go out and celebrate this joyous day...while the rest of us people living in the single kingdom are kinda left to our own resources. Thus, we have a proposition to make...anyone willing to "play boyfriend" from February 7-15? We kid you not. Pros? You get to hang out with someone, I get to hang out with someone...you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Cons? None. It's simple and straightforward...no strings attached (no pun intended). There is absolutely no fear of commitment and you just get to kick it with one cool individual with no expectations. So...hey...what do you have to lose? :) So, if you're interested, send an e-mail with your past salary history (photos are optional, but appreciated).

So you're probably wondering what brought about this little interesting proposition...well, let's just blame it on the aisles and aisles of Valentine's Day "crap" that we saw at Wal-Mart tonight.

Hahahahahhaa, we're kidding about this...

Seriously.

But hey, if you happen to be looking for something to do on February 14th, we are too.

I finally recieved my "Dumbo" DVD in the mail... :) Yaaay!! Gosh, you gotta love those online bargains!

Anyways, so I was watching this late last night... Ok. So when I was younger, and had a much simpler mind, Dumbo was just about an elephant with big ears who could fly. Now I watch it and there sooo much more! Dumbo is an elephant with big ears who wakes up after a night of wild drinking, only to find himself up in a tree. How? He had a bit too much to drink, had some mad visions of pink elephants, and in his drunken stupor flew up into a tree! Of course, he doesn't remember. Good gracious, what was in that water!?! Doesn't Dumbo sound like a wild fratboy who wakes up after a keg party, and discovers that he's in bed with some girl he doesn't know? Well at least Dumbo is a cute and silly drunk, as opposed to a angry, mean drunk... cause we all know those kinds of drunks aren't any fun at all.

But poor poor Dumbo. But when you think about it, I guess its ok that Dumbo drinks. I'm not saying that becoming an alcoholic is ok... but he had a lot going for him. I mean, his mom is taken from him and put into solitary confinement, everyone makes fun of him because of his ears, the other elephants shun him, and to make it all worse... he's a clown!! The circus folks should be glad that Dumbo went and got "happy" and discovered that he could fly, rather than having Dumbo releasing all his pent-up frustrations and go on some violent crazy rage during a performance. Circus Elephants with Big Ears Gone Wild!

Its still a gosh darn great movie. Dumbo is the cutest thing! Every scene with him and his mom just makes me cry... and the whole "Baby Mine" song... I was just bawling. *Sigh* :)

Around 4ish yesterday, Joe called and told me to get ready... for in a half hour, he was going to pick me up so that I can go with him to LA. It was fun stuff... sitting in traffic doing our worst impressions of this guy on American Idol doing his own horrible Enrique Iglesias impression. "You can RUUUUUUUUNNNN. You can RRRRRRUUUUNNNN. You can run, you can DIE but you can't escape my live." OH my...

Anyways, after stopping at Joe's house, it was off to UCLA where since he was driving extra slow, we never technically "hit traffic". Did some exploring around Westwood looking for quarters for parking (oh my goodness... 25 cents for 8 minutes!?! You gotta love the Cal States and their $1.50 for a day pass!), some more exploring on the campus looking for the correct building for the meeting, and finally even some more exploring in the building looking for the right room. But we made it (in time!!) and had a great time over there. :) Joe did his Convention thang and I said that my favorite body part was the foot for some odd reason. I guess I just wasn't thinking correctly.

After the meeting, we kidnapped Carrie and took her for that great awesome ghetto-ness- Roscoes Chicken and Waffles. :) And who do we see there? Oh my goodness... Justin Timberlake!!! Or maybe not. But we did see Kobe Bryant!! Then again... maybe not. :) We did see some guy who worked for "Star Search." Really.. we did. His t-shirt had the "Star Search" logo on it AND he said that he worked for "Star Search." Nooooo... really! We did! I'm serious!! I kid you not!! STAR SEARCH! No? Not interesting? Ok...

I can hear Melissa go "Stoooooopid" right about now. :)

On the way home from LA... Joe asks "Hey! Wanna wash my car?" Well gee... lets weigh the pros and cons...
Pro: Hey.. his dirty car needs washing! Why not?
Con: Um... its MIDNIGHT.
Pro: Theres nothing else to do...
Con: We're in LA... we might get shot
Pro: But Joe said to avoid eye contact and I should be fine.
Pro: Playing with the hose is always fun! Yay water!
Con: Its cold.
Pro: Its either Walmart or a sex shop at this hour... so why not do something different!

Joe: Its up to you!

But then he decided that he can do it on Friday. What a tease. ;P

;) On a competely different subject, AMERICAN IDOL is back! Yaaay!! Its like summer all over again! Except there's no Dunkleman which is kind of sad. How can you have Tweedlee without Tweedledum?? Oh wells, I'm ready to vote! :)

OH!! On another completely different subject... Pete has this HILARIOUS clip of his friend cussing like a dirty sailor on his site. I guess he was hiding behind some chairs holding a microphone or something like that while he was watching a basketball game... :) Anyways, I was just thinking, since I'm trying not to swear as much, listening to that definitely makes me want to stop. You just feel dirty afterwards... DIRTY!! I was really bored and curious last night and counted that he says the *F* word 21 times, uses God's name in vain 18 times... and calls a team "blond zebras" once. Oh my! Its horrid! Go listen! ;)

I brought my mom and Carlene to hip hop class with me earlier tonight. :) So there my mom was, *pop and lockin* to Luke's "Scarred" and Trick Daddy's "Take It to Da House"... it was so great. There were these girls that were in front of us who couldn't get the steps and had left halfway through the class... and then there was my mom... doin the butterfly and sticking the class out. :) Isn't she the cutest thing!

Anyways, the rest of my night was spent chillin with Carlene and Jill in front of the Viper Room. We were hoping to see Metal Shop, but unfortunantly, we were at the end of the line, and though we were sooo close, by the time 1am came around, the bouncer said that the chances for us to get inside were pretty hopeless. :( Oh wells. At least we got to hang out with some of the interesting folks on Sunset. Also on the brighter and kinkier side, we had parked right next door to the Hustler store and so we spent the remainder of its store hours just browsing at the goodies in there. ;) Fun stuff.

Slowly getting out of this "bleh-ness." Its weird... I can't explain it..

This morning, I had planned on waking up at 7:30-ish to get ready for work. What time did Nicole wake up? 8:28am. Many blasphemous words of frustration were emmitted from my mouth, as you can imagine, as I quickly washed my face, brushed my teeth, changed, and shoved my hair into a somewhat neat ponytail. (Oh flashbacks of those easy SL days...) Amazingly enough though, while driving in a manner that Joe would strongly disagree with, I arrived in Santa Ana right at 9 on the dot. Anyways, today, there was no wedding. But instead, a bridal expo. It was... um... interesting? Actually, it was a lot of fun because Brandi and I sat in our booth being insanely silly and giggly.

Brandi: Nicole, I'm glad you're here with me... or else I'd here all alone, looking overeager and desperate.... like her. *looks over at woman at entertainment booth who's by herself, looking pretty overeager and desperate.

Afterwards, came home and caught up on some sleep and then it was off to a "date with dad" with Carlene. The usual same ole same ole stuff. It was nice though... we stayed at the restaurant for 3 1/2 hours just talking and talking and well... talking.

On a completely different subject...

Last night, I saw this really adorable old couple dance on dancefloor. They had on wearing matching outfits and they were having the time of their lives just being in each others company and doing what they obviously loved to do. They jived and swinged to the fast music but when a slow croon-ing song came on, there was this certain magic just watching them dance. I figured that I want that... to have that dance partner who'll still pull you out to the floor just to be near you... even if you're old and gray. It was the sweetest thing...

I am having the worst cramps. Argh... and I've been feeling very bleh lately... I think its the skunk thing. I was driving to work today, and every time I switched lanes or went over a bump, this ill feeling would come over me. OH... and the car stinks. :P

I've been watching my THE SOUND OF MUSIC dvd a lot lately... it makes me smile. It brings back warm fuzzy memories of just sitting around the tv with my family wether it being watching it with my parents on the bootleg version that my mom taped off of the tv... or of those parties at my Tita Lagring's with my cousins because we either watched that or "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." (Which in my opinion is the best one out of the trilogy. ;)) When I was younger, I used to wish we had stairs so that I can crawl up them and sing "the sun has gone to bed and so must I." I wished I had 5 more siblings so that we can sing "So Long Farewell" properly... with only two of us, well... it was short. I wanted to dance and sing in the gazebo in the rain... I wanted the captain to blow his whistle at me... I wanted to be a nun and sing in the hills... I didn't want to be chased down by nazis though... but I did want to wear curtains and used to wrap myself in them whenever we were in hotels and sing "My Favorite Things."

The scene when Rolf and the Captain are in the graveyard.... and Rolf is saying "Stop... or I'll shoot." I always have a craving for a banana for some odd reason.

I think my parents had this secret wish to become like the Von Trapp family too, hence all the music and dance lessons growing up. Parties at the house would always come to focus at the piano... and once Carlene and I heard my dad start playing "My Way" or "For the Good Times", we knew it was time to run into the room and pretend to be incredibly stupid and deaf. But eventually, we would be forced to play for guests... It was especially cute when we'd do our little piano duet with 4 hands... but the show-stopper was when we had our mom come in and we'd do a 6 hand trio. OH YEAH... we were a bad-a$$ piano-playing family.

:( oh sadness...

while driving Melissa home after our Hip Hop class and fun at Walmart adventure with "L"... the road was dark and the hill was winding... and right in front of the San Dimas country club... I saw a skunk crossing the street. Unfortunantly, it was too late and I couldn't swerve in time... so I ran over it. :(

If we had a tape recorder in the car this is what you would have heard:

ACCCCCCK!!
*bump*crunch* bump*crunch*
OHHHH MYYY GOOOODDD!! OHHHH MYYY GOOODD!! *and various screams of terror*

Now my car stinks. The ghost of the harmless skunk that I had killed is haunting me. I drove home as fast as I could thinking that maybe the speed wil just cause the scent to fade away.... but I got home, it was still there... Theres an aura of stinkiness around my car as well as inside it. My clothes smell... even my bra. I'm afraid of how it's going to be in the morning...

I totally feel bad... what if this skunk was out on some imporant skunk business and theres someone waiting for him/her at home?

And to make it worse... as I was showering... the song on my radio was Ricky Martin's "SHE BANGS." I kept on thinking.. "yep.. SHE BANGS into unsuspecting and innocent skunks and kills them..."

I killed Flower from "Bambi"....

*sigh*

oh a somewhat brighter note... Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is finally going to be released on June 21. I was so excited when "L" told me at walmart today... I was dancing around the Mary-Kate and Ashley books. :) Yay... something to live for.

Hip hop was hell. When I take the classes over in Diamond Bar, Mark is good. He's slow.. he'll go over the steps over and over again... the steps aren't hard... but you pretty much get whats going on. So Melissa and I walk into the gym over in La Verne and we notice the class doesn't look like "the class" that we're looking for... but after checking the schedule, and figuring that the instructor does look "hip"... therefore it MUST be the Hip Hop class. OK. This guy is a good dancer... but he was just going WAY too fast. It was insane... Melissa and I pretty much only got the first 8 counts... a bit of the middle, and the last 16 counts. It was sad. OH and he had us sliding on the ground, which was nearly impossible. We were dancing to Missy's GOSSIP when our instructor thought he's be funny and suprise us with superfast Outkast's BOMBS OVER BAGHDAD. In-freaking-sane. Oh wells, its still a lot of fun. Funny thing is that people go into those classes thinking "yeah.. I can dance... I go clubbing on occasion... I stop and rewind and watch Nsync routines and know some of them by heart..." but once you get into it... you are soooo not looking like a fly girl. You look retarded. :)

Like I said earlier, afterwards went to Walmart where me met up with "L." :) They have these really scary stuffed bears that when you press its tummy, it will say "Gimmie a kiss" in this deep, somewhat pervy, not sexy at all, voice. :) You know whats weird? In the $5 DVD bin, they had a whole bunch of obscure Burt Renyolds movies... where in the $7.88 DVD bin, they had Hulk Hogan movies that I actually recognized. Hmmm. "L" gave some good huggin to a giant Care Bear for 2 hours and pondered wether or not to get a Mary-Kate and Ashley boom box... while I got 2 new cds and hair gel, as well as had many a "good time" with my dear dear own sunshines over there. Ok.. thinking of my friends makes me feel better. :) But then again, that skunk might have had friends too... :( Oh sadness...

Wednesday, January 15, 2003

OK.. so Petey and I were bored... (well I was and that's my excuse for being extra dorky... I dont know about him... ) and so we were over at the UNOFFICALCKI website playing in the chat... and since we were the only folks in the chat...

doubleup144: you know what would be wierd...if someone else came in
spaznik: hahaha then we would be SUPER happy to talk...
spaznik: we'll be all "HIIIIII!!!"
doubleup144: really?
doubleup144: super happy?
spaznik: "we're from CNH!!"
doubleup144: welcome to UnofficialSKI CHAT!
spaznik: "WHO ARE YOU!?!"
doubleup144: we're wierd!
spaznik: will you be our new international buddy??
doubleup144: pretty please!
spaznik: we're cool!! really!!
spaznik: really really!!
doubleup144: :-)
spaznik: im not lying about how cool we are!
doubleup144: but ghetto!
spaznik: cause really... we are!
doubleup144: seriously....we're soo cool

Imagine if that were done in PERSON. Scary...

Anyways, you should go and chat in it. Hopefully there will be people inside so that you won't be chatting all by yourself.. :) Or talking to an imaginary new buddy like Petey and myself. Hmmm..

So tonight, my mom had a "date." She doesn't call it a date, rather a dinner with a friend... but in my mind if you're going to Old Town Pasadena, looking nice, and eating at an especially nice place with a member of the opposite sex... its a date. So Nicole's mom has a date... and Nicole is at home... doing nothing that is remotely interesting .... I don't know if this picture is pure comedy or just incredibly sad. :) Actually, I'm completely fine with it... as long as mom is happy. But I know that someday, SOMEDAY... it will be me, Carlene, and mom just sitting around and my dear sister will smartly say "Mom is going to have a boyfriend before you do...." And, since I am a confident and cute woman (hear me roar... 'RrrRRrR')... I will respond with something so smart and witty that I can't even think of it right now its so GREAT.

Yep.

Ok.. I'm gonna start getting a life tomorrow. *Pinky swear*

Tuesday, January 14, 2003

Oh my gosh.. I'm losing my mind. There has been numerous occasions these past few days where I'll have some *what I percieve as* genius idea and as fast as it came to me.. I'll forget it! My moment of brillance gone! Like right now... DARNIT!! What was I going to say?? :(

I'm old. Actually... okok.. I'm not going to say "I'm old" anymore because in 20-30 years time I'll really be old and I don't want to look back to the days when I was "young" as the time when I just let age get to me and I stopped being fun. Does that even make sense?

Anyways... what was I going to say?

*and the pickles... and the pickles... and the pickles...*

:)

The other day while watching a doctumentary on movie musicals, they had a few tid bits on the movie "Gigi"... and suddenly my mind was reeled back 17 years to memories of my very first pet. "Gigi... the bunny!" Of course growing up in a filipino household, "Gigi" wasn't spoken with the soft "g" or in that romantic french way... it was "GEE-GEE"... hard on the "g" and heavy on the accent. Anyways Gigi was a nice little bunny... she was brown and like other bunnies, she had long ears that stood up on her head and every day I would go out and feed her carrots. I remember tap dancing in front of her cage.. I don't know why exactly, probably because whats the use of tap dancing if you can't entertain someone with it. One day though, her cage was gone... my dad had decided that "Gigi" would recieve better care from a preschool, so he gave it to them. Funny thing is that I sad about the situation because I was so convinced that Gigi was pregnant and that we would be expecting a cute baby bunny at any moment. No... Gigi didn't have male companions in her cage... she was just getting fatter and I had just learned about the Immaculate Conception. The whole thing was pretty heartbreaking though in my little 5 year old mind.

Wipe those tears away.. Its ok now.. :)

On a bright note.. I made it onto Pete's list of marriagable women...
spaznik: i didn't do anything really interesting today... but i did make bread yesterday.
PeteTalksTooMuch: Wow! You bake bread!?
spaznik: well.. with a bread machine.. :-)
PeteTalksTooMuch: Are you engaged yet?
spaznik: hahahahah... not yet. im just trying to make my resume impressive for when i hit the dating tv show circut.
PeteTalksTooMuch: Shhhshhhhshhh... so you made bread?
PeteTalksTooMuch: That's great!
spaznik: yes!! i made bread all by myself!
PeteTalksTooMuch: *adds nicole to the list of "marriagable women" with an annotation: "Bakes Bread."*

ROCK ON! I think... :)

Hear that ladies!?!

Ok... I did my part. :)

The past few days have been really nice... laid back and happy. :)

Thursday night, had dinner with Tam, Lisa, Melissa... with special guest Maria visiting from another table. :) *GOOD TIMES* Its funny because now, we're at the age where we aren't talking about school... its more about work. Its hard to imagine that in a few years, in addition to work, we might be talking about husbands, children, soccar practices, house payments, etc. *gasp* OH NO! We're old... Anyways, we also talked a bit about those golden days of Lucys (bad sadies pictures, awkward first lapdances). And talking about them... just made us feel even older...

Friday... went over to Carrie's. We were supposed to go clubbing, but I just wasn't feeling it not to mention that my *cough* has returned. Anyways, the orginal plan was to go have dinner at Pink's and watch Two Weeks Notice... but after the long line at Pinks, the 10:30 movie just wasn't going to happen. Its ok though, we pretty just chilled on the floor of her apartment and watched DVDs... one of which was SINGING IN THE RAIN. :) *sigh* I love that movie. The only thing though is that Gene Kelly looks like a bad kisser. Its like "Hi.. I'm gonna put my face against yours now." I'm serious!! Watch it! But other than that... its my absolute favorite movie in the whole wide world. It makes you want to sing and tap dance.... :)

This morning, woke up bright and somewhat early because Petey called. Not like I wasn't hesitant to wake up because Carrie's roomie has a "papa bear" bed... meaning its HARDER than the carpeted floor. Before I use to pride myself in the ability to sleep practially anywhere if needed... on the floor, in those scary rickety bunk beds at FTC, in a van with 6 people in parking garages... but for the life of me I just couldn't get to sleep. Anyways.. Petey came and we all went to lunch at The Hat and got dessert over at DideeReese. Spent most of the day down in Westwood just walking around...

Nicole: walking in LA... who would have thought...
Petey: we're gonna get shot.

Anyways, we watched some "Blind Date" later on, where this one guy started sucking his date's toes... and then proceeded to kiss her afterwards. Eww!?!

One of my New Year's resolutions is to stop cussing. I finally decided that I no longer want to have the mouth of a filthy sailor. Anyways, my thing is that if someone catches me doing it, then I pay them 25 cents. Well, I'm having a pretty hard time with it... I'll catch myself in the middle of a word and end up screaming "What an AAAAAAAAAApple!" And thats only if I catch myself in time... I owe Carrie a whole lot of vending machine toys.

So, I was watching the end of CELEBRITY MOLE HAWAII and there were 3 things that struck me as odd...
1) Steven Baldwin... Since when has he been celebrity? OK.. name me 3 films that he's been in.... Exactly.
2) Where's the oh so dreamy Anderson Cooper? The MOLE just isnt the MOLE without him and his dry sense of humor and somewhat sexy gray hair...
3) Really... what's Steven Baldwin doing there? In fact, didn't I see him on Celebrity Fear Factor? Maybe he's like BIG TIME internationally... I don't get it...

Even with everything going on in my mind (WHY STEPHEN BALDWIN!!!!!!!)... I still got hooked on it. Its one thing to watch normal people scheme and be evil to one another... but its completely different when you see "celebrities" and guys named Stephen Baldwin do it.

Anyways, Mr. Dsl Verizon man came EARLY this morning... he was quite a character. Once he had everything set up... he started to check the internet to see if it was working. This is when he started telling me a story about how he had HUGE fingers and because of his HUGE fingers, he had mis-typed in "yahoo.com" in one of his customer's computers haveing omitted the last "o". Well apparently "yaho.com" is a porn site, and well the customer and Mr. DSL were very much suprised when the nakedness jumped onto the screen. Freaked out, he tried to close the window, but more and more lewd pop ups just starting coming at him. Now... did I have to know this? The porn story was pretty funny... but did he have to stress on how HUGE his fingers were? I don't so... Anyways, dsl is back... turns out that the phone wire had been pinched or something like that. So, the solution was to get a new phone wire. And to prevent it from getting pinchedagain, I'll be drilling a hole through my closet into Carlene's room (since I have no phone line in here) this weekend. OoOooo.. I get to play with the drill gun... oOoOoOO...

OH.. I LOVE Victoria's Secret's Semi-Annual Sale!! :)

At last the winds have died down.. as well as my fears of the house flying off of its foundations and crushing green women with stripped socks and glittery pumps. It was insanely strong... The other night, when it was especially bad, I swear I could feel the entire house shake. After awaking from my oh so sweet *Conan dream*, I went downstairs to discover that we now shared one giant backyard with our neighbors since the wooden fence seperating us had been blown askew. Those poor poor outdoor pets... I hope they didn't go flying.

Anyways, back to work today... discovered that since having my "vacation" these past few weeks, no one has been in the shop. So basically, I came back to poor dead and wilting flowers that have been stinky for 3 weeks. It wasn't very pretty... anyway, it looks like we might be moving to a bigger and "newer" location which should be exciting because now there should be more room to organize things. I just need to ask Brandi for more storage boxes and I'll be the happiest little camperette in the whole wedding designing world.

Mr. Dsl Verizon should be coming today so that he can fix this "problem." I kinda feel bad for using the dialup, even though I've used it many times before even having dsl... not to mention that the phone is rarely used since everyone is dependent on their cellies... but it feels like I'm denying the phone of living its full potential. You know what I'm talking about? No? Nevermind...

I had the GREATEST DREAM last night... after I finally fell asleep.

I dreamt that I met Conan Obrien... and we fell in love...

This wind is freaking me out. :(

Argh... after being on hold for 30 minutes with the Verizon people, I am still having dsl problems. According to them, they should have it fixed in 36 hours.. if not.. I need to call again (probably with another 30 minutes of waiting) and discuss this "status of active ticket." I wish I knew what was wrong with this darn thing. I downloaded a song today and it took me 15 minutes!! Ok.. I know... I'm being retarded....

Anyways, more cleaning today. :) (yes.. I've been very bored lately) Today, we cut the Christmas tree in half because it was just too big to get through the front door. We later figured as we were shoving the huge bottom part of the tree out the narrow front door that we could have easily shoved it through the somewhat bigger side patio door that was closer to the tree. Talk about an eye rolling moment... Anyways, since there was a million pine needles on the floor, I had a grand old time vacuuming it all up. Cause you know... the vacuum will make that "ooooo I'm getting a whole lot of dirt" noise and you'll see that clean strip of white amid the green mess... I'll stop now. :)

The wind is howling outside... its a bit freaky. It feels like I should move away from the windows for fear that the wind will blow off a giant branch off a tree and it will come crashing into the house. The lights are flickering a bit too... Eeerrie. Something tells me I may have a difficult time going to sleep tonight. I think I'll go look for my handy little flashlight just in case...

Congratulate me! After a day of cleaning, I can now see the floor of my closet! :) Lets see how long this is gonna stay neat and clean... lets hope for my sake... its for a while.

I found almost $10 in coins while organizing all my purses... I also found numerous old reciepts, cough drops, and those small circle bandaids for tiny boo boos. Amazing huh. I should have done this before going to Vegas. Oh well, I can go buck wild with the toy and sticker vending machines at Walmart with all the coins, I guess... Or save them up for a whole lotta happy/sad quarters! :)

Yesterday, met up Manny, Jimmy, Sukhyung, Laura, Vivian, Luc and many friends of Kathy with were we had a one night only "Celebration of Kathy" night over at Downtown Disney (aka the Friday Night Special) :) After a few drinks and a quick *secret* frolick with Manny... we saw "Drumline" which was really good! :) Makes you want learn how to play the drums... or just start banging everything to that it make a nifty beat. Anyways, had a fun time here during Kathy's visit. :) Too bad the "north" has to be so far...

A quick Kathy-ism...

while listening to Missy Elliot's "WORK IT"...
Kathy: why doesnt she just say she needs to shave her vagina?

OH MY....

Anyways, I forgot to mention it earlier but I have a really happy feeling about 2003. I don't know why, but I think its gonna be a *GOOD YEAR* :) Let's hope my feelings are right and that it's a great year for everyone.

:) Vegas 2003... I WAS THERE!

After spending the last 2 new years doing GO WEST out on the COLD COLD streets of Pasadena... it was a really exciting to be doing something else for the holiday.

Oh my goodness... Vegas was so much FUN! :)

Where to begin.. where to begin?

First of all, what day is it today?? Friday.. ok. So on Tuesday, my mom and sister left for Vegas around noon so that they can beat the traffic. Instead of going with them, I opted to stay, go to GO WEST for a bit, and then drive over on over with Carrie afterwards. Rose Float decorating was as always fun in that "harsh manual labor in cold conditions" kind of way... But at least I got to see some people whom I've gone through vacation withdrawals with from seeing on an weekly basis.

After getting dinner and packing, Carrie and I finally left the LA area around 1am. We kept ourseleves awake chatting about the usual (boys!) and singing OUT LOUD to oldies and A*Teens. 3 hours into our drive, Carrie starts to go ballistic because she needs to go to the bathroom and the rest area is closed. She continued to go crazy for another 20 miles until we finally get to Stateline. I was very much scared for my life... :) But eventually we made it to Vegas and arrived at Pic's at 4:45am with aching voices but at least in once piece. Sweet semi-glorious sleep. (Pic's clock ticks HELLA loud.)

January 31- New Years Eve

Woke up, got ready, and went over to my Tita Rita's place, which was about 4 exits away from Pic's, to pick up Carlene and we were off to the strip. First stop... FAO Schwartz so that we can see Pic in action at work AND get some tips on where to eat lunch. So while we're there, Pic shows us the super uber cool VIP room where they have the *rich kids* toys that includes a $30,000 mini Mercedes (thats stick-shift) for 6 year old on the go. They also had some really nice hand crafted toys and scrabble games where the pieces are made out of GOLD. *Oh my!* OH! And I saw Sisqo. :) oOoOooOo.

After the trip to the toy store, we had lunch over at this "Chinese" restaurant in the forum shops were the food was ok, the service was HORRBILE, but the sake was GREAT. :) We walked around the shops a bit, did some shopping, and while walking to the car to drop off our purchases and to pick up our jackets, we realize we are REALLY tired (due to the sake) and we sleep in the car.

Yes... we slept in the parking garage of Caesars Palace... again. Oh flashbacks of Vegas 2002.

Woke up around 6:45pm to the sound of a gang of preppy white guys rapping to Eminem and partying it up next to an SUV near us. They are drunk and might I add that one of the "homies" there had this resembalance to "Neville Longbottom" from the Harry Potter movies... if he were 20 years older and incredibly drunk. Anyways, Pic had told us that Ja Rule was going to be performing in front of the Venitian at 8pm, so we re-met up with him at the shops and walked to the Venitian were there was a GIANT crowd of people already forming behind the gates of the Venitian. Well, Pic and Carlene continue to push forward and forward into the crowd, while Carrie and I struggle to follow them, and there we were, right near the stage area. Sure we didn't have orange wristbands, so we just didn't raise our hands. Well, apparently this just wasn't just a Ja Rule show... this was a whole freaking "NEW YEARS EVE" tv telecast for FOX with Ryan Secreast... and it just wasn't Ja Rule... it was with Ashanti, New Found Glory, Dru Hill (hence the Sisqo sighting), and SUGAR RAY! *sigh* And there was Bon Jovi, The Rolling Stones, and Sheryl Crow via sattlelite from their prospective concerts around the country. Oh my FREAKING gosh.. it was sooo COOL! :) It was crowded and getting shoved about was pretty crappy, but overall it was sooo cool! :) EVERYONE was going crazy whenever the tv camera came to us... They even had the Joe Boxer guy dancing around in his undies up on stage.. *brrr* Around 9:45, they started passing out New Years goodies like hats, crowns, lei, horns, noisemakers, etc... and at 10pm, we counted down the New Years with the New York and the east coast! :) Then they had CHIPANDALE dancers... YES!!! Ooops... I mean.. *Oh my*. ;)

After the countdown, we left the show because it was just getting WAY to crowded in front of the stage and when we walked out of the Venitian gates, we discover that they had closed down Las Vegas Blvd and theres a MASSIVE crowd in front of there as well. Since we weren't allowed into any of the hotels since they were only open to hotel guests, we took some shelter from the wealth at this really ghetto casino where Carlene won $5 at the slot machine... got excited... cashed in.. and then lost it all.

Throughout the entire night, pretty much played phone tag with Joe/Jasper who were parting it up over at New York New York... so we figured that we might as well walk over there, ring in the new years with him, and then get some $12 Steak and Lobster. But by the time we had reached Caesars again, it was 11pm, our phones were dying and weren't getting any receptions and we were cold and tired. While walking, lo and behold, who do we find? Its Nes and his homies! So we camp out next to the curb where they are chilling and singing "the next episode" and we wait for midnight to come.

And then... it came.

Oh my goodness... it was seriously one of the most awesome sights I've seen. We counted down and then *BAM* the sky was lit up with fireworks. Not just at one spot, but all around us.... a good majority of casinos has fireworks on top of their hotels and so the show was all along the strip. People were cheering and drinking and hugging and drinking... it was pretty insane. :) *GREAT TIME*

While I'm slighty tipsy, everyone is definitely hungry and we make our way back to the car (where we witness numerous men "relieving" themselves behind the bushes and against the wall of Caesars palace... OH and we also saw one of Nes's friends do it as well right in front of it too. Eww...) and go to The Orleans for $1.99 Steak and Eggs with 99 cent biscuits and gravy. Yummy. Afterwards, an impromptu trip to the "Adult Superstore".. why?? Um.. I dunno... but it was interesting.

Carlene: Natural?? Yeah, for a horse!!

January 1- New Years Day
Woke up, got ready, and Carlene and I "kidnapped" Carrie and took her along with us to Tita Ritas place for lunch with the family. :) My baby cousin Thea is SOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!! She looks like a little Peanuts character... like Lucy with all her curly hair. Everyone wants to take a bite out of her she's so cute!! :) In typical family fashion, ate, played with the baby and my other little cousin Esther (who has a Ron Weasley wand), ate, and watched parts of the Iron Chef marathon on TV. :)

Afterwards, met up with Pic again, had a "TO DIE FOR DINNER" at the Venitian, and pretty much spent the majority of the night going in and out of the casinos and taking pictures. :) OH! I played blackjack... and broke even. ;) Yeah... once I won my $2 back... I took the money and ran.

January 2
Slept in and had a late lunch. Then it was off to the outlets at Stateline. :) MmMmmMm... good sales. :) Parted ways with Pic and it was 3 1/2 hours of top-of-our-lungs sings to even gayer music (Disney songs, Color Me Badd's "I Wanna Sex You Up" and Hanson's "Mmmbop"). Home sweet home!! An hour later... Kathy arrives!! YAAAAAY!! Kathy rocks my world...

Watching Legally Blond
Kathy: Do we get to see the Hoku video? Hoku... Haiku... Boohoo... whatever.

And so the fun continues... :)
