Come on babe, why don't we paint the town... and all that jazz...

:) OH MY GOODNESS!! I just watched CHICAGO tonight and it was totally AWESOME!! :) Totally totally loved it. TOTALLY! I saw the show a couple years back and to see how they adapted it to the screen was pretty amazing. Suprisingly enough, EVERYONE can sing in it!! :) Yeah.. I was on the verge of singing along, but I was good and I kept my mouth shut. Anyways, go watch it... take me with you... :)

Pop. Six. Squish. Uhuh. Ciscero. Lipschitz.

okok. I'll stop. :)

Hmmmm... what to blog about.. hmmm. Well, yesterday, went to Club Alondra to celebrate Mikie's birthday. :) Ahhhhh, memories of the Arena and Metro came flying to me the moment I walked through that door. Since it was an 18+ club, I was feeling incredibly OLD... not to mention incredibly tall since there was a majority of short asains there. But it was still fun just getting that groove on and hanging out with Mikie, Lan, Joe, Steph, Joanne, Janelle and her cousins, and company. :) Amazingly enough, ran into people there who weren't part of the Mikie group... including old school formal date Richard AND *believe it or not* my favorite karate-boarding bartender himself JP. (WOAH.) Anyways, left kinda early cause it had been a long day *couatthemallgh* and Carlene and I were just really tired. Argh... getting old....

Got my hair cut... :( I think its too short... I went in thinking *OH! I'm going to take off an inch, trim the ends and fix the layers!* but no... the stylist had a different idea and chopped off 3 INCHES!! 3 INCHES!! That's... a lot! On the bright side.. it looks heathy and well... I'm not bald or anything. And at least it grows back... :) Ok.. I'll survive.

Tomorrow (er... today) theres a family wedding... or I think theres a wedding. Theres a reception for sure... but ceremony? Not sure. This wedding has been "off" and "on" several times this past week so no one is really sure what they should write on the cards. "Congratulations... you didn't?" "Share the blender!?" Anyways, it should be interesting... also this is like my first wedding in a while that I haven't had to work at so that should be a nice chage... if there is a wedding... hmmm... oh wells. :)

I hope everyone got what they asked for from Santa... :)

Hmmmm.. today spent the day here at home and then went over to my Dad's for dinner with the rest of the Concepcion clan. :) *Good times* and even more good food... Nanang was out of the home, so it was as always really great to see her, as well as just spending quality time with the cousins. :) When you ask my baby niece Alicia what kind of noise a lion makes... she'll go "roar". SHE'S SO CUTE!! She also loved her brand new Care Bear... ;) My Cousin had bought her a "Chicken Dance Elmo" and I think my Tita Lagring was even more excited to dance with it than Alicia was...

Darnit, the Lakers lost. :(

Anyways, on a brighter and happier note... a 23 minute late HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MIKIE!! I'll see YOU tonight.. ;) Cause you know... when I hear music it makes me dance...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Things are good here... Its been an interesting couple of days with so much going on... Last night, got to see *snow* which almost made me cry because it was so pretty... and then afterwards went over to Janelles for a Christmas party where Luc (I'm sooooo sorry about being pissy on the phone. I was NOT in a good mood at that moment.) and Mark discovered that they were weird buddy buddy soul mates because I SWEAR TO HADES, they have the same characteristics and mannerisms. *too weird* Anyways, played a tame game of White Elephant and "oh but of course" Cranium, where the soul mates and Kenny won even though we technically didn't finish the game... (Ryan Skophammer.. where are you when we need you!) Anyways, pretty much kicked back with everyone afterwards which was pretty terriffic since it had been a while or just felt like eons since I've been able to just hang out with Luc, Salamanca, and the rest of the folks.

Christmas is very laidback this year. I didn't know what my plans were for Christmas eve until 2pm today when I called my dad and was told that the Concepcion Family Festivities were going to be held on Christmas DAY this year. Oh wells... So tonight it was Mom, Carlene, and myself... which was absolutely perfect...

*@11pm*
Nicole: Mom! Open your gift now... when we get back from Church, it'll be 1am and you'll be tired....
Carlene: Yeah, open it now so that at Church, you can thank God for your wonderful daughters.

Got home from Midnight Mass a while ago. It was great even if we had gotten there 30 minutes before mass and it was ALREADY crowded (luckily we got seats). After Communion, they turned off all the lights and the whole congregation sang "Silent Night" (Although the projection where the lyrics was on was interrupted when the Norton Anti-Virus in the computer went off and projected it on the screen) . I got goosebumps because at that very moment, I could feel the spirit of the holiday... it was really something. :)

Anyways, HAPPY HOLIDAYS (again) and a great big *MUAH* to everyone! Go watch 24 hours of A CHRISTMAS STORY on TNT. :) Love ya!

WHooooo... good weekend. :)

Friday night, went over to Tina and Mae's for our little SL/CSUF/FRIENDS&FAMILY party. I swear... pratically every furniture in their apartment says "PROPERTY OF CSUF" on it. (They bought it.. really. ;)) Anways, we did our usual "kris kringle" were pretty much everyone with the exception of Joey "Holy Cow.. that's a dick!" knew who had who and later watched "Can't Hardly Wait." ("Yo.. I gots to have sex tonight.") Afterwards, went over to Beth's to drop off her Christmas gift and the dolly for her big move... :)

Saturday.. woke up bright and early to get ready for my mom's Barkada Christmas party. :) Every year, a different family hosts the party... and so my mom wanted to make sure EVERYTHING was perfect since it was the first time that we were having a big "family" function in the house. In fact, she went into Christmas nazi mode (TIMES 2!). It was pretty frightening. But everything was great and the party was a lot of fun (Oh my goodness.. so much food. We got leftovers... call if you want some!). I swear, every year the parents gather up all the kids and force us to take a picture in a stairway... I'm sure it was pretty adorable with 13 kids under the age of 10 all happy and smiling, snug as a bug in a rug on those stairs... but now all the "kids" are either in their teens or 20's and to cramp us on there that way just isn't cute anymore. I was definitely feeling the "old" that night because the youngest kid, Cheryl, is going to enter St. Lucy's next year... and I remember when she used to be a BABY!! (Actually, since I'm the 3rd oldest of all the kids, I remember when a lot of them were babies! I remember vividly when Benji was 5 years old, he was trying to jump rope with the big kids and he was holding potato chips, but he fell down. All of us stopped because we were CERTAIN that he would start crying.. but he didn't, and instead reached for a broken potato chip on the ground and put it in his mouth. HE'S A SOPHOMORE IN HIGH SCOOL NOW!! Oh weirdness... Moving on...) Rather then having all the kids sit in a room and watch TV while waiting for the gift exchange... this year, Tito Jerry had us gambling and yelling obnoxiously with the adults at the dinning room table and taking shots with them as well. ;) *WHOOOHOOO!!! GOOD TIMES!!* Also we played some "pusoy dos" but unfortunantly, I didn't have any proper playing cards other than my GARFIELD ones were instead of the hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds... my cards had Garfield, Odie, Nermal (the "cute" gray cat) and Arlene (the pink cat) which made playing rather difficult. ("Who has the 3 of Odie!?!") This year, no one won any XBOXs... but Kris Kringles were still a lot of fun. Actually, the main highlight now of the parties is watching the adults play White Elephant. You wouldn't think it, but they can be so ruthless... but its pretty hilarious to watch your mom fight for a cordless phone or your aunts and uncles scheming to take a cuppuchino maker from each other...

Incredibly stupid moment of the day: I was putting on my brand new pair of TOE SOCKS when to my suprise I discovered I had only 4 toes!! But then I realized I had 2 of my toes in one of the sockie thingies... *duh*

:) HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!! I'm done.. well, for the time being. Finals week wasn't so bad for me considering that it was mostly papers I had to write and just one test... stressful nonetheless. But on Wednesday, I was finished, relieved, and oh so very happy.

Has anyone heard of the song "CHRISTMAS SHOES"? Oh my goodness, I heard the song today at work and its one of those songs that completely captures you if you listen to the lyrics... There I was folding chiffon, when I first felt goosebumps all over my body and then next thing I knew, I was crying. If you haven't heard it, you should download it... its about a man who's in line at a store when theres a boy in front of him who's buying shoes for his mom... but he doesn't have enough so he tells the cashier that he need the shoes because it will make his mom happy because shes sick and she might be seeing Jesus that night. OH MY GOODNESS... just thinking about it makes me tear up.. so the narrator sings about the little boy... AND THEN you hear children singing the chorus AND THEN its one little boy singing it... Its soooooo sad... The song just tugs at your heart strings... Another radio station started playing it a while afterwards, but I had to run to the radio and change it... I just couldn't take it again.

Anyways, its raining again. Earlier today, it was sunny and I was thinking to myself "Gosh! I love days after it rains because everything seems so much brighter and crisper," and really, it was. The sun was shinning and the hill along the 71 was this gorgeous bright green that made me think of the wallpaper in Windows XP. But now the rain is pitter-pattering away... and I'm currently listening to PM Dawn's "I'd Die Without You." How perfect is that!?! Hopefully it will stop before Christmas... and the holiday was be clear and beautiful.

:) Long day of studying.... but tomorrow (er.. today) I'll be done!! YAAAY!!

spaznik: did you write your name and his inside a heart?
poTaTe YO: no not yet
poTaTe YO: hahaha
spaznik: isnt it hard to believe that someone out there might be writing your name and theirs inside a heart?!
poTaTe YO: hahah
poTaTe YO: It is wierd to think that my name is in a heart
spaznik: i was just thinking about it now..
spaznik: like its all cute and stuff when girls do it..
spaznik: but like its weird to think it...
spaznik: my name could be with like some weirdo..
poTaTe YO: hahaha
poTaTe YO: with yellow pants!
spaznik: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
spaznik: YELLOW PANTS!
poTaTe YO: hahaha
poTaTe YO: I thought you'd like that one

*note* Last year at FTC, Kathy and Jean were doing the ice breaker workshop... and Kathy was explaining this one game where everyone stands in a circle... and one person in the middle of it will say "I lilke my neighbor because ______" and all the people who are ________ would have to run inside the circle and get a new spot. Get it? No? Oh wells. Anyways, so Kathy's example was "I like my neighbor because he wears yellow pants." Yellow pants... really... you'd think it was a random pick. But when she said that... 3 guys came out and started running. WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF 3 GUYS WEARING YELLOW PANTS!! Anyways, one of those guys.. well... thats another story.

I also had a very interesting conversation with Pete (DANCE!!) that went from chatting about blogging, to writing erotica as a fundraising idea, to "other" fundraising ideas that may only be legal in the state of Nevada, to perhaps changing the bylaws to prohibit that idea from actually happening but then again it probably would be incredibly lucrative as well as give a brand new meaning to the HEAD TOUR.... oh my goodness gracious. Won't that be fun?! ;)

Joe: what did you do today?
Nicole: I studied.. and then I went to the mall...
Joe: did you get anything for me?
Nicole: sure if you want a bra

Have you noticed that people don't really talk on the phone as much to chit chat anymore? Well it seems like that for me... like everyone I know basically chats online and rarely talk to one another on the phone... unless they need like information or a question answered. I do talk on the phone on occasion with like my close friends... but I pretty much chat *when I can* online... isn't that weird? Or maybe its only me... Hmmmm... Pick up a phone and call someone to say HI! :)

Anyways, today it was raining like no other... Cat and dogs were falling from the sky, old men were snoring, and people were singing. :) Lucky me got to spend a majority of the day indoors... studying. (theres sarcasm in that remark.) But later in the afternoon, the backyard started to FLOOD! So mom started freaking out and we drove to Home Depot to find a solution... a water pump. (At first, we were thinking that we should get sandbags to put at the door just in case the water might seep in... but then we realized that Home Depot would only see the sand "bag" part and we would need to get sand somewhere else...but where? It was confusing...) So while at Home Depot, mom discovers that her drivers license is missing... she then figured that she had left it at Robinsons May in Brea the other day.

Since I had books to bring back to library it was perfect... so I drove over to Brea, dropped her off, went to Fullerton, dropped off the books, and went back to Brea to pick her up. But traffic was TERRIBLE so I decided that it would be better if we stayed at the mall and just waited the traffic out. (yes yes.. big sacrafice on my part.) Did some shopping (yay!) and came home where Carlene and her homie Sonny (the CANADIAN, eh) were making soup.

*talking about the painful Christmas Fondue 2001 experience*
Carlene: well I think we made it up this year mom, with your gift...
Mom: What did you get me? Did you get me a man?
Carlene: yes mom... we got you a man.. he's in the box under the tree...

Mom is really funny. Carlene was telling me this story about how her and mom were surfing the internet and were looking at the men over at match.com. Apparently there were some really cute older men that my mom was checking out *eeek* and Carlene was joking around with her that they should get an account with a screenname. Carlene didn't want a boring screenname for mom like Lyn821 or something of the sort so they were trying to think of a name that's fun and "catchy"... like "pinaynanay" or "aznhotmama". *i'm rolling my eyes* Carlene decided that she needed to get something that would be more unique and completely perfect for mom.. so she asked mom what she's interested in. My mom's genius answer for her screenname: Botox Junkie.

Mom: I bet all your friends think I'm crazy when they read your journal huh...

No mom... just one of a kind. :) I'm so incredibly lucky.

*a quickie...*
ckicarrie: ooooo, you can make baklava?
ckicarrie: wow...did you tell *cough* that?
spaznik: hahahahaha... noooo.
spaznik: i'll need to pour good tea for him first..
spaznik: and brag about my child bearing hips.
ckicarrie: hahaha
ckicarrie: and demonstrate your laundry abilities.
ckicarrie: hahaha.
spaznik: *yes boys... she can FOLD!!*
ckicarrie: you make it sound like we're selling you on the home shoppping network.
ckicarrie: hahaha.
spaznik: *she cooks... she cleans... and shes a bit FREAKY! Get her while she's hot!!*
ckicarrie: hahahahahahahah
ckicarrie: oh nooooo, more like "get her while she's in her prime childbearing years"

yeah... really really REALLY need to get out more...

I had the weirdest dream the other night...

So there I was, chillin with the Care Bears. I don't know why, but they were morphing themselves into other "types" of Care Bears ( like Wish Bear was morphing into Funshine Bear and Cheer Bear was pretending to be Bedtime Bear...etc). Then they started morphing themselves into human babies... then all of a sudden they morphed themseleves into cuts of meat and everyone was at Benihana and the meat was being chopped and cooked on the giant stove, with the chefs throwing the chopped meat into the air and doing their fancy tricks with the knives... and people started eating the food. I started freaking out because at first I thought "oh my gosh!! they're eating BABIES!!".. but then realized "OH MY GOSH!! THEY'RE EATING CAREBEARS!"

WEIRD.

I need to get out more...

You know how you have those memories that make you cringe with embarassment? Like really ugly old pictures of yourself or remembering something really stupid that you've done... Well Carlene had downloaded "Tiny Bubbles" by Don Ho and proceeded to conjure up one of those moments for myself...

When I was 6 years old, we went on a family vacation to Hawaii. Since it was so many years ago, there are only a few things that I do remember about that trip. First, was the discovery that I was horribly alergic to insect bites... legs had been attacked to brutally and the bug bites were so big that my legs resembled giant molecule models and I couldn't walk. Second, was the "newness" of the family video camera... I bet if I were watch those videos, there would be several obnoxious attempts on my part to get attention, not to mention several shots of the inside my mouth. I thought that the camera could capture the happenings of my stomach. And finally, I remember watching Don Ho... in concert. This night, I remember right up to the blue dress I was wearing. During the concert and Don Ho's rendition of "Tiny Bubbles" I, along with several other kids, got pulled up to the stage to meet with him. So Don Ho stops and talks a bit with each kid... and by the time he gets to me, my mind has gone blank and I'm blinded by the lights... He asks my name... I say "Nicole." He then proceeds to ask me who my favorite singer is... I really can't think. I mean, I'm 7... I really don't have a favorite singer. It was Carlene who had an obsession over Michael Jackson and Boy George... I liked everyone! So I blurted the first name that came into mind... "DON HO!!" :) Well, the entire auditorium started laughing and I was mortified. Why couldn't I have said someone else? Anyways, Don was very flattered and I got to sing "Tiny Bubbles" with him... he also coerced me into kissing the boy next to me on the cheek. Oh my... but I did get an autographed tape! And actually for a while, after that trip... all I did listen to WAS Don Ho... but by the time I was 8... I had already fallen hard for the New Kids on the Block... and Don Ho had faded back and had become a distant memory.

Until today.

And so now I listen to the song "Tiny Bubbles." I had always assumed the song was about blowing bubbles in Hawaii. It isn't "Tiny bubbles.. In hawaii" as I had thought...
its "Tiny bubbles in the wine
Make me happy, make me feel fine,
Tiny bubbles make me warm all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna Love you 'til the end of time."

Ahhhh.. now it makes sense. :) Rock on Don Ho... rock on.

After spending the day cleaning and running around getting different products to achieve ultimate house cleanliness... I found out that my aunts and uncle aren't coming anymore to visit. :( This means no cute baby Thea and Esther to play with this weekend! Awww shucks. I was really really really looking forward shoving the adults outside so that I can stay indoors with the kids... drawing, making funny faces, etc... and just being really silly with them. I even had my stuffed animals all ready to be played with!! Oh wells... maybe I'll be able to see them for New Years.. :)

Anyways, I rented movies tonight. "The Importance of Being Ernest" and "Monsoon Wedding." They were both really good (Colin Firth was absolutely adorable in "Ernest." ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!! And he even sings a bit in the movie... *sigh* I heart him. I just want to hug him and never let go... :)) So it just me, Carlene, the couch, a pile of blankets, pillows, orange juice, soup and the dvd player. *good warm times* I think I'll be getting a copy of the play "The Importance of Being Ernest" so that I can re-read it... "Monsoon Wedding" was about an Indian wedding... Kind of like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" but its an arranged marriage India. :) I was inspired to rent it after the big 700 guest wedding last weekend (which was Indian but I don't think was arranged) and so I was a bit curious about the culture and the different rituals that they do for their weddings. Well, wow... The movie was very sweet, colorful, funny, romantic and beautiful. It made me think about love and what it takes to be married and what not. :) Anyways, rent it. Go. Go now! Or you can come on over.. I have it till next Saturday. :)

OH!! My Christmas Wish came true!! :) YAAAAAAAAAYY!!

Friday, December 13, 2002

ARGH!! I've been feeling icky for almost a month now and it doesn't seem like I'm improving... :( I've gone through numerous bags of cough drops, 2 cartons of orange juice, several glasses of lukewarm water, one 10 tablet box of 24 hour Sudafed, one box of cough and cold Sudafed, and am currently halfway through my box of Contact... and I'm still coughing and sniffling!! :( Any suggestions? Cough Syrup? Teas? Leeches? Good lovin? I'm pretty much open to anything right now with finals and all...

Wednesday, December 11, 2002

I found this quote and thought it was really pretty...

"Somewhere, there's someone who dreams of your smile, and finds in your presence that life is worthwhile. So when you are lonely, remember it's true: Somebody, somewhere is thinking of you." -Unknown

Its very comforting to think that maybe this is true and there is really someone out there for me. :) Lets hope he's taller and not psychotic.

Oh speaking of... my one Christmas wish (aside from world peace and for the 5th, 6th, and 7th Harry Potter books to be finally written and published) is to have the "guy" call Kathy. :) He needs to call her... if he doesn't then I'll be very angry. You know to the point where all I can say is "I'm sooo angry! I'm sooo angry!" But really.. he does. He will. ;)

Well just when I was about to pass out from coughing, blowing my nose, and overall just feeling ILL, Brandi called and said that I can take the day off due to the lack of space that the 71 centerpieces are taking up in the shop. You don't know how grateful I was to have the morning to sleep in and just to rest in general. Yeah.. it felt good. :)

Tuesday, December 10, 2002

on christmas lists...
spaznik: i'm the boring one.. my list are all books.

Zasher816: my list has books too!

Zasher816: fhm

Zasher816: i hope they do a harry potter porno

oh my... I heart ron and all... but eww.. :P

Sunday, December 08, 2002

Gosh... long day today. It was the *BIG* wedding today AND mistletoe... But the day started off happy so therefore the rest of it wasn't bad at all. :)

Ok.. so pretty much today decided that when I do get married (Lord knows when...) it definitely isn't going to be a giant extravagant thing. Today's wedding had 700 guests! Can we say "insane?" I don't even think I know 100 people that I would want to invite to my wedding (that isn't happening anytime soon) let alone 700! Oh my... But everything came out gorgeous. The bride had this deep rich red and gold as her colors, and the combination was just stunning with all the decorations. :) I've been working there for 7 months now and I think its just funny that I have no idea on what colors or decor I want for when i get married (in the far far far far far far future.) Oh wait.. I lied. I know my centerpieces... but theres no way in hell am I going to have 700 people. I'd rather get a nice house with that money... with the white picket fence... and the doggie. There has to be a doggie. Plus I think that with so many people and so much planning and preparing... you tend to loose focus on whats important. You know what I'm talking about... please don't make me spell it out for you because then Nicole will start going on and on and on about her silly, girlish romantic fantasies on finding love and well... Nah. I wouldn't want to be the cause of people barfing after they read this...

Anyways, I have a bag of everyone's second favorite fungus downstairs... Mistletoe! (I'm assuming that the number one favorite fungus are mushrooms... but I could be wrong.) So if anyone wants some... mistletoe that is... :) Do tell. I don't think I can mail it though because I think that trying to mail something plantlike might be somewhat supicious looking.

Friday, December 06, 2002

Since I can't do the Mistletoe Project on Sunday due to work and since I'm the only one who has gone mistletoe picking before, Kristin and I drove over to the mountains between Lake Elsinore and San Juan Capistrano to go scout the site and look at mistletoe yesterday. So we get lost, attempt to get directions from a closed "country store" that sells "ostrich jerky" , get the proper directions from a cute ranger at the ranger station, and make serveral U-turns when we get to a place that I think is the site... only there is a chainlink fence that keeps us away from the parking place where we "normally" park. I figured that it has been 2 years since I've been back so this is probably new and the forestry people are adding some new things. It makes sense. Anyways, Kristin and I get out of the car, walk around the fence, and start to scour the trees in search for mistletoe. While we are looking, a pickup truck parks at the fence and the man inside asks us what we are doing and we brightly respond that we are on a search for mistletoe. The man in the truck says that "sure, we have mistletoe... but I don't think you want to be here. This is a Probation Camp."

OH MY GOODNESS.

Yeah, so we RAN back to the car and continued on our search for the REAL bluejay campground. The cute ranger at the ranger station could have WARNED us about that.

By the time we had found the place and picked some samples of mistletoe to show to the club, we weren't able to go to the nearby boonie outlets as we had hoped, and drove back to school instead.

Later that night... Kristin, Janelle, and I had this "plan" to suprise Steph for her birthday and I think it worked. :) At least I think she was suprised but I hear she had some idea that something was going to go down. So while at the board meeting, Lorraine called and pretended to by my mom who needed me back home. I left, had a "exchange" with Janelle on the street, got balloons and some goodies and went to downtown disney to meet up with everyone. Steph was dragged from John Woodalls house to pick up saws, to the 99 cents store to buy supplies, and then finally downtown disney for *dinner* and *suprise* ;) It was a lot of fun... I felt like a secret agent whenever I was talking to Kristin and Parth kept on winking at me during the board meeting which was pretty hilarious.

Only thing now is rather than "getting better"... my health is "sick once again" and its WORSE! I must have spent too much time in the cold or something... Argh.. its like the cold that never ended... :(

Thursday, December 05, 2002

Ok.. so Lorraine sent me this LINK where you can put in your name and it will turn it into a slogan. Like "A Nicole Works Wonders." (awwww) Its actually really fun in this retarded, dorky, asinine way...Its like MAD LIBS! Anyways, Beth had inserted "gay" in the blank which prompted me to put "hot monkey love" in the box. And well... here you go.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARMANDO! Welcome to the world of "OLD." (er... I'm about 40 minutes too late in blogging this one) Just got home from his birthday dinner with Carrie, Steph, Kyle, Kathy, Mikie, and Lan over at the Yardhouse over in Long Beach. :) Good times... :)) We walked in the seaport village for a while and played with some hats before getting dinner. The day before, Carrie and I had went shopping for Mondo's gift... and we had the hardest time!! Seriously... we were going out of our minds like "do you think he want's a toy?... or how about a clock? girlie keychain so that he can carry it around when he drives his van"... but then we finally found the gift. Since we weren't able to go to the Citywalk showing of Willy Wonka over the summer (*shudder*... its a freaky movie) we got it for him on DVD. :) YAAY! So now he can live the lifelong day watching the oompa loompas be creepy. Its better than telling him he can keep my copy of "Zoolander" (noo.. Mondo.. you really have to give it back. ;P)

Anyways, Carrie promised me that she would bring me men tonight... she lied. Or did she??
spaznik: you forgot to bring your men!!
ckicarrie: hahaha.
ckicarrie: i did bring my men!
ckicarrie: they were in my purse the whole time!
spaznik: ahhhhhh...
ckicarrie: benjamin franklin
spaznik: holding out on me huh..
spaznik: HAHAHAHAHAHAH
spaznik: he's too old.
ckicarrie: ulysees grant
ckicarrie: hahahah.

Ahhh, procrastination at its finest... blogging when I'm supposed to be working on a paper... its ok though. At least I have words on the paper... and its not ONLY my name and the title... theres actual substance on it. So I think I'm entitled to take a breather and be silly for a couple of minutes.

:)

Ok. That's enough.

I was arguing with my mom today over what we were going to put on top of the tree. I wanted this nice, simple gold star... whereas my mom wanted to put this big angel she had found. Since she is my mom and has power... she won. (Mom has gotten into her crazy Christmas nazi mode and has good reason too since its our first Christmas here at the house and we're having the her barkada Christmas party here.) After seeing the lifesize, moving gold angels at the Mission Inn... I've just been pretty freaked about angels. Anyways, so its on the tree and yes, I admit it looks pretty nice.. but the thing is that it has these fiberoptic thingies in the wings and dress, so it changes colors every 2 seconds. The colors prompted Carlene and I to be extremely bratty and silly tonight (as mom made us decorate till midnight... crazy I tell you)... humming the theme to Disneyland's "Electrical Parade"... and we finally decided that our angel is *DISCO* angel. *Oh won't you take me to... Bethlehem.* :) Well, at least we have a tree this year (last year, we were just so swamped with moving)... and it isnt giant spiral green monstrocity that she had up the 2 years ago. Its a real, somewhat live, fresh smelling tree. :)
